To be fair.... that's a Rugby World Cup final for you. They generally aren't flawless or overly great watching, a few aside. 99 and 2015 and maybe 03.

Du Toit was brilliant. Reckon the Blacks would have won with 15 players for 80 minutes, but they had 14. If the rugby league between England and Tonga had been refereed under rugby union Laws, they would have been playing 7 and side by the second half. Congrats to the Boks. No idea why we had to have drum and bass whilst waiting for a lineout or scrum. Soooo annoying, like drums at a soccer game.

Obviously not for me. Obviously not for many people, judging by how many countries are clearly going backwards. I mean a crap England came third while the game goes bankrupt domestically, Argentina cone 4th despite clearly being worse than they have been in years, the group stages had zero trepidation at all and went on for 6 weeks.
If rugby fans accept that as an "excellent tourney" then I don't know what to say.

Think Ireland and France are 1 & 2 for the quality of rugby they play, but lack that bottle in knockout games. Ireland vs France would have been an incredible final and atmosphere.

I thought tonight was excellent entertainment. Red card could have spoiled it but NZ brought it, big time. The best teams in the world have all played brilliantly IMO. Second tier a bit disappointing but that doesn’t spoil the tournament.
