just seen this bit

obviously don't know how it ends up but that can't have been a smart move making literally everyone hate you surely
Agreed. I think people understood and respected voting off the guy with the advantage (that was a fantastic move) and even getting the younger guy that was kind of the lynchpin of the old guys group but she really should have picked off one of the leaders of another group as well.

I've only seen the first 3 episodes but the conspiracy theorist in me thinks

232 is a plant and not a real contestant like the old man in the series

What was that old British guy doing just going in on the deaf girl  so out of nowhere. Glad he lost. Proper weirdo. Some right twats in that one including the guy who stubbornly just wanted to do a throwing game and got them both killed

The girl behind Trey is dumb as shit. She’s happier to let him die which means she then has to guess like 14 correctly in a row. Whereas if she just goes ahead of him she only has to guess right once. Unbelievable stupidity.

And she gets him killed and then does one jump and expects everyone to still overtake her. And they do! What the feck. I’d have told her she needs to do the rest like she was happy to force Trey to do. What a cnut.

Big up to @Solius for spoilering the new episodes.

Not watched them yet as I forgot they were out today, but see that the finale is on Dec 6th which is pretty cool as it gives everyone an even chance to watch it.

For real, and if they get a test where they have to pick someone to eliminate that player is gonna be number 1 for everybody.

Exactly! How the feck do those contestants not see that Mai was right about 278 not being a team player. What she did was stupid, and ideally I'd have liked others to let her go on her own.

Irrespective, Mai is quite cunning and I hope either of the other 2 win it. I was initially rooting for Trey or 018(Bee) to win it though, and Bee's elimination was via a shit competition.

I’ve enjoyed this actually. Thought it had potential to be crap from the first 15-20 minutes but it finds its groove. I do enjoy this concept and the fact that one person is guaranteed to feel like a God when they’re the last one standing.

Once the relationships start forming the feckery just reaches new heights and it is a good watch even if it is technically reality TV. That girl eliminating the old guy though man. Ouch.

They really should’ve seen the picnic thing coming. They knew they’d have to be paired eventually and fecking He-Man being on his own should’ve been the giveaway
Them NOT figuring out the picnic was crazy stupidity tbh. Most of these guys have watched the show so they should have seen it coming. I don't remember any of the duos tactically deciding to not partner up for the picnic. He-Man was the only one who seemed clued in.

Was really annoying that no one other than Mai seemed to care. And 278 kept saying Mai was the one that wasn’t a team player. That was a frustrating watch.

Why is everyone just letting Ashley gaslight? She was the only one not to take a jump. There's no way I'd be having that.

Hope so. Cannot stand her now and I'm actually surprised the person after her didn't refuse to go forward.

I'm not a fan of Mai but how on earth are the rest of these geniuses not giving Ashley more grief for what she did in the previous game? I was really praying Mia rolled a 6 for Ashley. Just cannot stand her.

I read your posts about the episode and I've had the same frustrated feelings right now . Will see the finale tomorrow (assuming 9 is the finale) but I really really hope that participant does NOT win the whole thing.

Can only assume that others weren't paying attention on the glass bridge and didn't notice what actually happened. What a cnut move.

Mai is a bad bitch, love it

thank feck for that. My wife and I literally jumped up and cheered when Ashley got knocked out. feck her

Spoiler episode 8

Tre was so stupid going ahead of her. I'd shove her so she fell in one of the holes

Just caught up, Solius thoughts are those of my own. Although the show is heavily edited to create certain narrative for good drama so you never really know what's going on.

Also:

Ty: "I'm a believer, I can do this, I will do this, I'll lead us to victory, they depend on me"

Jumps. Falls.

Honestly felt like the producers were gonna drop him regardless of his choice because it would make a funny scene. Those platforms were clearly set up so that either could go. Whether it was fully predetermined or not we won’t know but I’ve read some things about certain players being given special treatment, players being eliminated after crossing the line in RLGL, players advancing even though they cracked their cookie, players being given ‘villain’ contracts (432) and certain players being mic’d up in games whilst others had fake ones on.

You could kind of tell when certain players would go because you’d see them in a team or in the dorm and be like “who the feck is that?” and then you realise you weren’t shown them for a reason.

Yeah I know a few people who work behind the scenes on this and they've said stuff like this. But I try to forget all that and just laugh along.

Think the elims were far too weighted to luck and social deduction/popularity contests overall. Cheapens the jeopardy.

Some of them were great, obviously the bridge is the best part of the tv show, the telephone was good, the penultimate game was too. But RLGL and dalgona, and a little bit of marble throwing, were the only physical/skill based games in the end. Even the final looks like it’ll be some sort of poker theme.

Bit too much eliminating through popularity without the chance for retaliation

I think they clearly had to eliminate people in dorm games to get the right numbers for whatever was next.

Yeah but some of those tests too so long they'd have been far better served putting in an extra game.

Thinking the vote, the jack in the boxes and popularity contest. So much time eeked out for just 20 elims. No one is invested enough in any number for those dramatic pregnant pauses to work.

I like the social side of it more than the physical tasks. Seems in tune with the original theme of capitalism too. Networking, teamwork, backstabbing, unfairness etc. all in the name of acquiring money. I think the original was more about the difference between the wealthy and the poor and the desperation it creates though.

I was fine with the games except the dice roll one.

But overall, I agree that the game is more of a popularity contest and it gives Big Boss vibes

It's pretty trashy, but it has evolved into something interesting that the original show didn't really portray. The whole alliances, social constructs, and backstabbing has taken a prominent role in this. And to be honest, I can see their being a few copy cat shows that will exploit that part of it further.

I think the tests have been a good addition, as well as the adaptation of the original games (as they won't necessarily translate well to a reality tv show).

The parts that are difficult to watch are the overly hysterical contestants telling each other 'I love you' every 5 seconds, bursting into tears, and all that shite. It's overly dramatised (I guess that's the American nature of it).

For them to have such a massive prize, how much money is this expected to make? £4.6m is insane for a TV gameshow!

I haven't watch it, but is the social aspect comparable to the TV show "Survivor"? I believe it is on CBS in the US.
