I wouldn't be surprised by a repeat performance... but I'll say 4-0 possibly 5-0

The worst result is if we WIN this through a freak goal and paper over the cracks deluding ourselves that we're turned a millionth corner.

Sick of this manager and team

Okay, we win at Anfield and get relegated or lose at Anfield and win the title. Pick one.

But more seriously, if top reds could calm down and read posts fully before jumping on other fans, that'd be swell.

In the post you quoted, he clearly explained why he fears a scratchy win could lead to the misleading impression that we've turned a corner.

The same way the win against Chelsea probably had ETH and these players thinking they're the real deal and then not preparing properly for Bournemouth.

A good result would be a win or a draw. The expected result should be a 1 or 2 goal loss. Unacceptable still, but reasonable to expect as fans based on the shite we've seen. Losing by 3+, I don't want to even think about.

A 5-0 drubbing would be slightly better than the 7-0 dealt last season.

I'll be contented with a draw, but if we had to lose then a loss by one goal would be ok, I guess.

Losing 2-0 would suck. I can't believe so many in here say losing 4-0 or whatever would be a good result.

In football anything is possible. We all know Liverpool are better than us, but on the day anything can happen

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Actually think this will be a very tight, cagey game.

Won’t be high scoring.

ETH and the players will be guarded and cautious after the 7-0 and ETH is fighting for his job.

Liverpool also are not actually playing that well.

I’m gonna go with a cagey 1-1 or a 2-1 to either team.

In the context of ETH still being here, yes 4-0 is a good result.

Whether or not it’s an acceptable result is a different question. Answer is obviously no.

Look at the away record against the top teams

Nothing but a win is acceptable. It’s long overdue

I don’t have any hope of taking anything from the game, sadly. I do hope for some fight and resilience. Another capitulation might finish ETH. Best case is probably a 2-0 loss, or something close to that. Bad times.

agreed. i think the worst thing that could happen is for us to win and gain a load of confidence, then go on a 150 match unbeaten run.

With Bruno out you can only hope that ten Hag will pick a more balanced and defensive midfield. I would go Hannibal, Mainoo and Armabat. Sadly however, he will pick McT.

Just to not get hammered.

If we keep it down to conceding 3 then it's relief.

Hopefully it's nil nil or even a sneaky one nil to us via a dodgy penalty or own goal, anything from the Gods above. A miracle.

predictable answer is to type anything less than a 7-0 thrashing.

we are massive under dogs, expect a loss but hope for a point Which would be a miracle good result

If Utd had won yesterday and gone to Anfield with that set up then you would be looking at at another 5/6/7/8 goal gubbing. Surely Ten Hag has to go with a 2 DM set up at Anfield now.

Anything other than a loss at Anfield is a good result under any circumstances, let alone where this team are at today.

If McT plays then it could be embarassing, we need two holidng midfielders to protect the defence considering the pace Liverpool possess up front against Maguire.
If we have the 2 holding midfielders I do think we will lose anyway but not hammered like last season.

It all depends on which Utd team turn up. The way you played against Chelsea last week was excellent and you do have 2 extra days rest. You play at home on Tuesday with Liverpool away in Belgium and not playing until Thursday evening. Having said that, they have already qualified for the Last 16 and can probably rest players.

United have the quality, just lacking self belief at the moment. Losing Fernandes may be a blessing as you can out another defensive midfielder in.
We’re sending the under-21 squad with the tea lady as coach to Belgium if we’ve got any sense. Considering it’s a meaningless game.

A draw is a decent result at anfield. A win is a great result. A loss against them lot no matter the circumstances is always terrible. There is no good defeat against Liverpool.

Besides bout time we got one over them our rivalry is full of the struggling team getting a surprising result who knows maybe this is going to be one of those times.

We never seem to be in a good position or spell of form when we go to Anfield. The Premier League script writers have done a fine job at keeping that running storyline going.
The last time we visited there, the team was on good form.

The issue is we now are more prone to soft goals whereas Liverpool is the king of jammy wonderful goals. Liverpool even when they don't play well, they often shoot a lot, and they do have clutch players. IMO they don't need to be super clinical to break us down.

Our away form to top 8 has been poor. Can't see we change that odd now of all places and all time.

Keeping them to single figures would be good. Have absolutely zero hope of us not being humiliated again. The thought of that smug wanker Flopp after the game is as bad as us being trashed.

It won't be 7-0 (probably) but the 4 or 5 goal beating we get will look far more convincing this time, just with, surely, less goals flying in randomly.
