Yeah Salah for me too, he loves the big games at Anfield.

Is there a reason so many people have Lascelles in over Livramento?

Not sure about others, but I have him because I am blind and clicked on Lascelles when I meant to bring in Livramento. Not sure if that would have helped in last 2 weeks.

Lascelles has been popular since GW10 WC and is 100% nailed till Botman is out, Livra had the rotation threat with Hall and now Burn is back anyway.

Think Livra has always been overrated in FPL. Had 1G and 1A in 25 starts with Soton, and not has 0xG and 0xA everytime he plays for Newcastle. But got excited to watch him play on right wing for 45 minutes.

Who am I benching out of these? I'm thinking Watkins

Salah MUN H
Son NFO A
Saka BHA H
Gordon FUL H
Palmer SHU H
Watkins BRE A
Darwin MUN H
Solanke LUT H
It should be Darwin but he's guaranteed to score twice if you do so.

I'm just jealous at those riches! Watkins is the only away fixture so yes, probably him. Mind you, with no Mbeumo Brentford could be on the back foot a lot.

Other option for me would be Gordon because of the slight injury scare. Even if he plays he might not be 100% and he's had a lot of football in a short period of time recently. Could well be a bit fatigued too as he puts himself about, always running.

Thanks, this is probably where my thoughts are at. Could be Gordon as Fulham in good form, Newcastle so good at home though. Would take decision out of my hands if he was injured so kinda hoping he misses out.

I've kept darwin through this shite form so he defo plays as it would be typical of him to troll me if I left out

Solanke for Darwin or Senesi for Guehi ?

If I go for Solanke he is straight away in my starting eleven and, unfortunately, Darwin can easily get returns this GW. But if I go for Senesi I will have to choose between benching Coufal (Wolves H), Gabriel (Brighton H) or Tsimikas (Manchester United H). Any advice is appreciated.

I have the extact same 8, and think I’ll bench Gordon because of expected minutes.

I think people bought Lascelles already when Livramento started being an option. Botman could return soon, so Livramento the better option at the moment imo.

Also, if Gordon or Almiron is rested/injured he can play right/left wing too.

What do we all think about the injury crisis of the squads? Will it continue this spring too?

Considering dead-ending the squad for GW20 and throwing the new Wildcard to make up for the many injuries in GW21

I still have my wildcard, thinking of doing:
Haaland + Hwang (or Gordon) >> Darwin + Son

Then sort everything out GW19/20 with the WC.

AFCON/Asian Cup plays a part in all that, I'd say.

It's not a lot of games they are missing players for those tournaments, but squads will be able to rotate less for the duration of them. That could in theory lead to injuries at the time, or at a later due to a knock-on effect.

Then there's the players who are at the tournaments, they could be more susceptible to injury down the line if they play a high volume of matches in quick succession.

I take it you'd be avoiding all the players who are tournament bound too? Depending on how many you might want at a later date it might be hard to get them as quickly as you'd like if already having used that wildcard and they stay fit.

I wouldn't like to say for sure, but these tournaments could well have an impact on squad injuries later in the season would be my thinking.

Yeah the last part is actually a good point about not using the Wildcard after new years eve. You have Hwang, Son, Mbeumo, Salah, Doku and others who you potentially want to bring back into the squad later on and therefore use a wild card. I think I'll take some hits to steer clear of using the Wildcard. Cheers.

I start drinking in about 2 hours for the office Xmas party. I need haaland (and several other flagged players!) news before 12, otherwise I'll
1 - completely forget the deadline and be at the mercy of my 6 yellow flags.
2 - drunkenly take 3/4 hits and be regretting it for the rest of the season.

3) Start drinking early and live life in the fast lane. Do 1 transfer for every drink you finish.

Give me your best wildcard team.

Badly need some points.
I'd do something like this:

Dubravka 4.1 Turner 3.9
TAA 8.2 Zinchenko 5.2 Porro 5.2 Lascelles 4.2 Branthwaite 4.1
Salah 13.2 Son 9.7 Saka 9.0 Bowen 7.7 Palmer 5.5
Watkins 8.5 Solanke 6.7 Adebayo 4.8

100.0m

Tinker a bit/upgrade here and there if having the funds.

Make sure of having 2 transfers going in to GW 20 to prepare for AFCON/Asian Cup
Sell one of Son/Salah GW 20 for any midfielder that looks good, pray the one you sell doesn't haul that week
GW 21 = The other one out, any midfielder in + one of Watkins/Solanke out, Haaland in

Can't go without Porro and Richa in there. Also Trips now with EUR done is a season buy

I'd say yea go for Trent in place of Saliba if you can afford it. Double Arsenal defence is meh.

I'm short a pound. Would need to get rid of someone expensive then.
@Moby suggested Trippier, just get him instead of Trent?

I've got boring defenders, but I'm regretting that a bit. Think the way to go would be the ones that get assists. Only thing with Trippier is that he's suspended this week but it is only the one match.

Should calm down by Spring but the Asian/African tournaments and winter schedule will cause issues I’d guess.

Hate the Winter schedule, bunch of babies … we end up with eight games in December and two in January.
