49 points last week and not far off 100k - not bad as I did decide to keep Haaland and bank my transfer instead, I’m lucky enough to keep the green arrow each week. This enabled me to do a -4 this week and solve a few issues with injuries

Transfers:
Maguire to Colwill
Tsimikas to Pinnock
Hee chan to Gordon

Maguire and Tsimikas obviously both out longer term so I needed to solve my defence regardless. Colwill and Pinnock have a good set of fixtures for the next 4-6 weeks. Hee chan going on international duty soon their fixtures are fairly tough anyway, so I’m hoping Gordon in now gets a few points bs Forest asap to “pay” for the -4, but seemingly a lot are needing a -4 anyway so it is also a good time to do it.

Team:

Areola

Gabriel - Colwill - Pinnock - Porro

Gordon - Salah(c) - Son - Saka

Watkins - Haaland

subs: (Turner) Archer, Taylor, Palmer

Defence is solid enough now bar rotation for keepers as they have similar fixture runs. Don’t see the gains right now in trying to get in Trippier and/or TAA when I can gain the spread elsewhere, especially with the injuries both their teams have right now. More a potential February time wildcard vibes!

Will be able to keep one of Salah or Son on the bench too when they are on international duty, but I do have 0.8 in the bank too to accommodate selling one or both and getting them back after. Happy that I have 3 bench players that currently start regularly to fill a few gaps.
Mare, I’d have more points if I done feck all transfers

I did Hwang to Gordon on WC. Hwang had to go because of Asia Cup but timing was terrible.

Also reluctantly bought Tripper. Him and Gordon are going straight out for Arse def + mid.

Started clearing the deck for Asia Cup/AFCON way too early.

I didn't have that many, only Son, Mbeumo and Salah. Mbeumo went after his injury. Son after couple of weeks of blanks following Maddison's injury, but Asia Cup was on my mind. Still have Salah.

What I did was completely shy away from any players who are going to be involved in these tournaments the past 5 or 6 weeks. I doubted Hwang anyway after Neto got injured, thinking it might slow him down but it soon became apparent it wasn't going to. Then there's Kudus and one or two other potentials I ignored. Didn't want to deal with the headache of transferring them all out when the tournaments start. Players I have gone for just haven't been producing.

Oh well, first season playing. Something to learn from for 2 season's time when the next AFCON is on. Think Asia Cup is every 4 years?

Should do? Last touch that made a meaningful change to direction?

They haven’t though.

And that’s put Bernard top of the BPS too.
They won't give it on semantics. They'll argue the bolded part below means where Alvarez intended it to go (he didn't intend it to go anywhere as he didn't deliberately play the ball). But it can also be interpreted as where the ball was going regardless of whether it was deliberate or not. It's a rather vague wording.

Assists
Fantasy assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team who last touches the ball before their teammate who scores the goal. The final touch can be an intentional pass, an inadvertent touch, or the result of an effort on goal.

If an opposing player deflects the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist in Fantasy is awarded. Should an unforced defensive error lead to the goalscoring opportunity, then no Fantasy assist will be awarded. If the goal scorer loses and then regains possession, then no assist is awarded.

That sucks. Holding the money in the bank to get him back in one transfer whilst everyone else has made gains getting Trent in, knowing that they'd have the funds from Salah and Son in 21. Might as well join the Trent wagon now myself and bin Kabore.
Feel exactly the same although might be chasing points. I want Foden for Gordon next week. Do I take a -4 for TAA who has a dodgy run of games upcoming? It don't feel right...

That’d be fine if they were consistent, but they give assists for crosses glancing off players eyelashes.

As inconsistent as refs and VAR

Too late to transfer out Haaland now? Thinking about getting Nkunku for a week. Or should I stay safe and get Alvarez considering majority of my mini league competitors and league leader has him. I already have Watkins and Solanke. With only Salah as my player leaving for international duty, I don’t need to bin him and can keep him on my bench. This will be the team

Pickford (Dubravka)
Porro TAA Semedo ( Taylor, Livramento)
Garnacho Richarlison Saka Salah (Sarabia)
Watkins Solanke Nkunku

Yeah Gordon to Foden does sound sexier but how long does he keep his place when KDB and Haaland are back? As for Trent well you can see from the above that they're dishing out BPP's to him even when he's booked and does sweet fa so seems risky to go without.

Do you reckon there's a chance we don't see Haaland until 22 now anyway after Pep's comments? They have Newcastle away in 21 anyway so not an obvious captain choice.

Could bring in Trent and Foden this week for Gordon and Trippier. Take out Son and Salah the week after for Bowen and Ode and then have the money in 22 for Archer to Haaland.

Whats the consensus amongst those who have built up significant value in Salah?

Plan A - Bench him during AFCON

Plan B - Sell him prior to AFCON and bring him back at a discounted price somewhere near his anticipated return

Plan C - Sell him and bring him back on the 2nd WC

I'd arguably sell him now if I had little to no value in him.

I'm selling Son and Salah. There's an argument you can now go back to Richarlison over Son in that Spurs attack as well since he's been pushed out wide again.

Actually we should really be considering Jota as well now in 21 shouldn't we?

@Dirty Schwein Could ignore Trent and play Doughty in the next 3 (keeping Trippier and benching him)

Luton v Chelsea (H)
Luton v Burnley (A)
Luton v Brighton (H)
Newcastle v Luton (H)
Newcastle v Forest (A)
Newcastle v Bournemouth (H)

Decent shout for some points in that lot. And then just do Gordon to Foden this week and take a hit or wildcard the week after to sort out Son, Salah, Kabore etc...

Yeah lots to think about. Then inevitably make the wrong decision.

How scared are you of Trent? Mini league leader got him in this week for Tsimi. I don't think he's got enough in the bank for Foden though unless he loses one of Son, Salah or Saka. Could see him binning Darwin for Alvrez.

I'm not that worried. But then again, I wasn't worried about Solanke either :nervous:

At the weekend. You should be able to activate it as soon as the game comes back online for GW21.
Thank you Cassius of Claymore.

So my if I take out Mitoma today that's all good and counts for the weekend's games?

Yeah normal transfers for this week. Think I'll likely just do Gordon to Foden as long as nobody gets injured tonight.

Interestingly GW21 is spread over 2 weekends so there are murmurings of games being rescheduled in there. Think if that were the case we'd see a lot of wildcards activated.

Need some help.

It's Foden (Gordon out) or TAA (Kabore out) the better play?

I can also technically do both for a -4, which I am not opposed to buy then getting from my current team to the team I want by GW22 will become impossible as I would need zero price changes to a whole load of players...

Current team:

Raya
Porro, Saliba, Doughty
Salah, Son, Saka, Gordon, Palmer
Alvarez, Twatkins

Subs: Dabruvka, Branthwaite, Archer, Kabore

I mean you've pretty much talked me out of the hit for TAA so Gordon > Foden and play Doughty. You're quite decent at home and Chelsea can be appalling on their day (which tbf is most days this season).

Yeah I think it was fomo kicking in. Thanks for calming me down

Nah, in reality, I saw that I can get the team I want AND have TAA but in realistically, a single price move will screw me so no point.

Look at TAAs points this last few games. He's getting max bonus for doing nothing too.
Feels like earlier season Trippier.

Foden for me (partly as already have him and have for a while). Fixtures are fine for weeks ahead.

TAA fixtures are a mix, some tough ones in next few. Kabores aren’t awful in next five so should pick up some CSS hopefully but worse case, might not differ much to TAA

I could see Foden putting 10-20 on Gordon in coming month. Liverpool only have to concede one and Trents points (and ridiculous BPS) are gone.
