I don't remember his name, but he was defensive midfielder from Poland, long hair, played for Sevilla and PSG. pretty sure he played in EPL as well. I could easily google him, but I just don't care enough.

Sky showed the Spurs game from the end of the 98-99 season in full the other day.
Justin Edinburgh is a name I remember - but I didn't recognise his face in the slightest.

Nikki Papavasileiou, first Cypriot in the Prem.

I was there for his pre season debut, against Gateshead, being played in Berwick, for some reason.
He looked handy for a couple of games then you never heard from him again.

Staying on the Newcastle theme, Barry Venison. Liverpool reserve with stupid hair ends up playing for England.

Whoever I bet on
Someone mentioned De Gea in another thread. I was like surely he found a club and I missed the news. Nope, still a free agent. Wow.

Popped up on my YouTube.

Benito Carbone, he scored some belters.

I bloomin loved Carbone. I used to tune in to motd for Utd games but would stick around to watch Sheff Wed matches as well. He was such a brilliant player.

to think he was up top with DiCanio in that team as well. Good times

Yeah, he was brilliant. Used to love it when a player like that would rock up and a lower/mid table club. Like Geovanni at Hull.
