To be expected, really. We were never going to come out and say he's for sale.

We have enough holes to patch and wingers to get rid of before we get to Marcus. I agree that nothing short of a mouth watering bid should be entertained.
We also need to sell players properly rather than letting them go for nothing.

I think anything under £75 mil and it's getting rejected. And rightly so. I think clubs value him a lot higher than fans do.

I don't know what people were thinking . He is an England international a PR poster boy among kids. We have lot of critical positions to be addressed. I would rather sell Antony and replace with a dribbler than Sell Rashford .

We need 2 CBs, 2 midfielders and 1 forward just to cover the outgoing players. Winger is a luxury as things stand .

If true, I wonder how we plan to help him back to form. What hasn’t been done this year, that we could do in the future?
The team is in shambles.... How about less of what we did this year and we do things differently going forward?

Rashford should be the priority to get out of the door. He's currently the worst player in the squad and has a terrible attitude that can't possibly be good for morale. Players like Antony aren't much better on the pitch, but at least they try and show some passion and fight.

this was fairly predictable. new management will take another year to figure out how trash he is, and if we actually decide to sell then, he will go for even less.

Echo what others say plus it’s a public shot across the bow of Rashford too. If you really want to be sold keep playing cack

We just need to be patient and give him time. He will eventually get back to top form in around 2027, when it’s nearing contract renewal.

What are you on about Ineos are effectively inviting bids for him and they aren't even being subtle about it .

You don't put such briefs out for player you want to keep main takeaway from both the articles is he is up for sale every thing else is just plain filler .

Yeah, not a chance we look to turnover the personnel in the wing positions, unless they actively want to leave. People don’t want to hear it because he’s the scapegoat of the season, but he’s one of the top players in his position in European football. Maybe not the absolute very best, but right up there.

Like all players, to get the most out of him you surround him with complimentary players in a well structured system. For both Rashford and Garnacho to thrive that means full backs comfortable offering width and overlapping, as well as a centre forward who can link play and act as a fulcrum. If you want to get the most out of Garnacho, you are going to need the same sort of full back and same sort of centre forward. Sack Rashford off, don’t provide Garnacho with them, and you will be decrying the understudy’s lack of development in a year or two’s time too. He demands the same transfers to have the platform to perform.

It’s always worth reviewing the list of slam dunk upgrades on Rashford people have insisted upon on the forum over the years. The list is very, very ugly. Just look at who we have signed in his time at the club and who he has outperformed and seen off.

If I am being optimistic, I think it means some journos are being briefed that he is for sale for the right price.

He's 26 years old and the biggest thing he has going for him is he's an "international PR poster boy among kids". Amazing. The guys he was being compared to are winning things and contending for big titles. Players who came after him have long passed him up while he's more worried about the brand. That is the problem. And his position is absolutely critical because he has been a mainstay in the worst attacking front I have seen from a Manchester United side in the PL era. He doesn't get dropped unless he's injured or being punished for disciplinary reasons. He is right there as a major major problem in this team.

I'm interpreting that completely different than you, but I think you're seeing it how they want it to be seen. Ie he's for sale but we're not letting him go for cheap.
Yep. If you want to sell a player, the first thing you don’t do is tell anybody.

I just hope we make the right call on this one. My position is similar to United’s, my preference would be to get him back to his best as I can’t see us bettering his best on the market this summer. At the same time, from what I’m watching, I’m not confident he’ll het back there any time soon. Looks a million miles from the player he’s been in the past right now, and he just seems to have no application or desire to try.

Of course he is..... Not for the silly prices regularly written in here though by the cretins that don't rate him. If he wants to leave or another team wants him, he ain't going on the cheap. Otherwise he stays and we'll try and get him back into form....

He won’t be sold. He should be but he won’t be. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he’s bigger than the club right now no matter what he does and how awful he’s been. Guys like Berrada and Wilcox or whoever new coming in won’t have the balls to sell him.

That’s the predicament we are in and that’s the new Manchester United. The day we sell him, a homegrown player who behaves like big Billy bollocks and doesn’t give a shit about the club or the fans would be the day we would truly move forward with the right culture. Until then we’ll always carry a noose around our neck.

And sorry for posting my opinion because I know it counts an abuse towards him but I care for my club more than anything else.

We're Stoke now. Just run hard and you have a place here.

You'd think he were Ronaldo with the amount of attention he gets. If we were at City's level no one would give much of a shit about him staying or going

Looks like he'll be staying.
So nothing is changing at United despite the INEOS takeover. We will continue to tolerate and "help" prima donna players on obscene contracts, like they're infants. Under SAF he'd have been gone seasons ago.

My reading of it is that the improving him line is window dressing for what I don't think the club have never said before i.e. They are open to selling him

I'd say the fact we've briefed we'd consider a sale is pretty significant.

I feel like this is leading up to Rashford asking to leave and United wanting to show it was the players decision

Indeed. Ornstein is pretty close to the club. He's saying this cos the club want him to test the water for them.

Every club does this.

Good points, I truly hope so. Both the club and Rashford need to part ways from each other now. He's 26 years old and should be approaching his prime, not looking for anyone or anything to help get him back into form.
