Just a team where nobody hates and if they play everyone is happy to see them win.
Out of the leagues for now but for me it used to be Torquay Utd.
Probably now for me it would be Notts County

Apart from Watford (and more recently Forrest) fans, don't think many people hate us.

Got knocked all the way down to conference by the FA and climbed back up. The club is run really well, especially financially. One of the lowest budgets in the top 2 divisions so we're always the underdogs. Play with our heart on our sleeve. Have a bit of history. Don't allow gambling sponsorships due to the gambling problems in Luton's community.

Oh and above all else, we relegated City back in the day

Manchester United, they just don't want to admit it in public.

Many probably like Wrexham now, except probably fans of the teams they snagged the best players from etc.

Wrexham? Well at least from a non-British perspective.

(Yes I know it's Welsh)

Newcastle before the takeover maybe, now they're proper hated

Wrexham I think are great, don't understand the hate

Portsmouth, Ipswich, Coventry, Sunderland and Middlesbrough are genuinely quite likeable I think

I know this is completely wrong but I quite like both Ipswich and Norwich

Nah, even if it wasn't for fans of Chester and Shrewsbury, there are of course going to be plenty of people wanting the team with the celebrity owners and TV show to fail for the sake of schadenfreude.

If anything, I'd bet they're probably one of the most hated clubs outside of the PL because of all the exposure.

From the Ipswich wiki page:

They are the only British side never to have lost at home in European competition, having defeated teams such as Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Lazio and Barcelona.[2]

Pretty sure when Fulham were in the euro final in 2010 v Atletico Madrid they got nearly universal support from other U.K football fans?

Very small sample size but I watched that in the Keele SU Bar and everyone in there was rooting for them to win compared to all the other English clubs in finals at the time.

Generally inoffensive club, one of the best away days of all 92 pro clubs and they played some cracking football in that period.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Watford fans don’t count so it’s fine.

You and Ipswich for me.

Our manager, Rob Edwards, used to manage them.
Still fries my head that a bloke that was so out of his depth in the Conference North that he very nearly got a squad that was comfortably set up for upper mid-table relegated and had to be saved by the club getting a couple of players in on ridiculous money that they couldn't afford and being given a Championship ready player on loan, is now a Premier League manager. Not for one moment suggesting he doesn't deserve the success he's had since then, he's obviously a great learner.

Also nobody likes Forest Green. Horrible plastic little vanity project club.

I always hated Luton for that abomination of a plastic pitch they had the audacity to install.

feck em, the big bouncing plastic pitch knobheads.

Always loved Ipswich myself, remember in the 90’s going on the pitch post game at Portman Road. In the final minutes we starting singing “sack the board” & “staying up” together with their lads and they were singing “you’re gonna win the league” to us.

Was all lovely light hearted stuff on the pitch also, just how football should be.

Then @NicolaSacco turned up.

If everybody likes you it means you're quite shit and never compete for anything.

My local team is kind of like that. No one really dislikes us. We're rarely in the top division (apart from our ladies doing well in recent years). No real history in basketball or handball either so our history doesn't have any rivalry. Big youth setup which other clubs take advantage of. Fans are famous for being pioneers of singing in the stand a lot like is the norm now. Songs are generally positive vibes.

Can't imagine England having anything like that. You'd need to be a club like Dorking but without the cnutish people.
