For a centre back that was a beautifully taken goal.

Luton have been plucky this year but they have the worst xGA in the league. For as good as Barkley and Lokonga have been at times, as a midfield two they're far too open and easy to play through.

Least Spurs might still have top 4 to play for on Tuesday.
Should be an interesting game. Both sides need the win really. The end of this seasons mad in the fact we could help our rivals city win it if we win tomorrow but if we don’t then Spurs have a chance to help their rivals win it by beating city.

I guess if Spurs win today and Villa get beat by Liverpool on Monday then Spurs still have something to play for against City.

...Probably doesn't matter at this point though.

Commentator on channel I'm watching is adamant he was clipped.
They played it back on bein sports. Unless Im missing something, looked pretty clear to me that he tripped over himself.

I only saw one angle and I saw no contact. The commentator was seemed sure there was contact for some reason though.

City are beating us either way to be honest.

What would be great is if you could beat Arsenal tomorrow so that I don't have to worry about that possibility anyway.

Spurs now in the unenviable position of having to fight for a chance at CL qualification vs borrowing the famous "OH NOOOOOOOO" banner from Lazio on Wednesday

Another clean sheet and another win. 48 points in Dyches first full season is an excellent return considering everything going on at the club.

Yeah....that's probably not happening.

What's the mood with Spurs fans? I mean, it's not actually impossible for you to get 4th spot simply because Villa have two tough games left. But if you beat City you'd be handing the title to Arsenal. Wonder how the players feel about the prospect, knowing how the fans feel.

I'm happy to forego top 4 if it means not handing Arsenal the title and I think most Spurs fans feel the same.

Don't care if that's petty or small time, Arsenal fans would be exactly the same if the roles were reversed. I still remember when we were in the CL final, the majority of their fans said they'd take losing the EL final to Chelsea if it meant us not winning the CL ... and that's for an actual trophy, not just a slight chance of finishing 4th.

I'm sure Ange and the players will want to win however.

Well that's relegation battle finished.

Spurs basically secured 5th place finish now. If Villa lose to Liverpool tomorrow, they still have a small chance to catch Villa as Villa go to Palace on last day. Of course they'd have to beat City (and Sheffield United of course) which would be extremely difficult but I think City's last league win at Spurs was October 2018, even before new stadium opened.

Newcastle are not finishing higher than 6th and think Chelsea will beat them to it as well.

Yeah they were desperate for Liverpool to beat you in that final. It's probably petty but it's that way sometimes. I wanted us to lose to City in 2019 and that was one of 2 games I wanted United to lose ever (other Watford away Ole's last game).

Burnley down as it stands, how on earth has Vincent Kompany not been sacked?
Because they're a piddly little northern heck hole team that shouldn't by any metric be near to the premier league and he took them up in absolutely monumental style last year?

So the season will end up with City winning, all newcomers straight back down again and most fans fairly disappointed by the season except Villa fans and maybe some Arsenal fans after some time has past.

Bournemouth and Palace fans also fairly satisfied with how it ended relative to how it began.

Will be a strange atmosphere in the ground on Tuesday. Won't be the usual roar when likes of Son and Johnson are running towards the goal. Interesting decision aswell Spurs having their lap of the pitch with families today rather than on Tuesday. Maybe that's just due to it being a Saturday rather than weeknight but maybe hints at the mentality.

Watched the game today and Skipp badly struggled first half at LB so feels no contest up against Man. City's incredible quality in that part of the pitch so actually intrigued what sort of plan Ange comes up with, three at the back or Van De Ven at LB?

I think if Newcastle secure Europa league then it isn't quite the disaster of a season that was being painted on here in December/January.

They're not quite at the level where they can be demanding/expecting CL every year just yet.

It's just ...shite really. Maybe from a neutral perspective seeing two giants like Chelsea and United struggle and Villa do really well is interesting and competitive but apart from that it seems a really unhealthy and uninteresting league. Rivalry aside, Arsenal winning the league would be something good for football I guess, but it's almost certainly not going to happen.

George Earthy sounds like the name of a crusty old gardener in a Pixar movie.
