I’d swap Onana for any keeper on the PL (except any of the Chelsea keepers). This game would have been comfortable if not for him.Can we not play Lindelof in goal?

Can’t wait for some if the stats guys to post how much of an improvement he has been compared to DDG.
I doubt there is anyone who thinks Onana is the answer. But that’s still doesn’t mean letting DDG go was wrong - that was absolutely the right decision.
It was only the right decision if the replacement was better. Onana isnt.I doubt there is anyone who thinks Onana is the answer. But that’s still doesn’t mean letting DDG go was wrong - that was absolutely the right decision.
You are incorrect. The wrong decision was buying Onana, it doesn’t change the DDG decision. It was only the right decision if the replacement was better. Onana isnt.
This guy is something. Ipswich are taking a quick corner, and he is getting refreshments.

To be fair, at the time i was quite annoyed that half our team were completely unprepared for that corner but yeah, it looks bad. This guy is something. Ipswich are taking a quick corner, and he is getting refreshments.

I thought he always looked ropey, on the admittedly few occasions, I saw him play for Ajax, but in that CL final for Inter he was outstanding.I'm starting to think we should DNA test him to see if he's really the same keeper that Inter sold us. He seemed so assured and confident in that side, but since joining us he's been shaky from the very start, and his unpredictability puts jitters into the defence.
The first Ipswich goal is a great example. It could have been avoided by Dorgu, but the situation only came about because of unpredictable and frankly bizarre behaviour from Onana.
It doesn’t just look bad, it’s fecking criminal! To be fair, at the time i was quite annoyed that half our team were completely unprepared for that corner but yeah, it looks bad.

He has competition? He has until the end of the season to save his spot by the looks of things
Read what I said again. DDGs time was up. Getting rid of him was only correct if we replaced him with someone better. We didnt. Onana is a worse keeper. You are incorrect. The wrong decision was buying Onana, it doesn’t change the DDG decision.

Bayindir is injured. How bad is Bayindir if the coach thinks this guy is better?
That’s before you even have to consider the fact that Onana didn’t just need to be better, he needed to be £45m better.Read what I said again. DDGs time was up. Getting rid of him was only correct if we replaced him with someone better. We didnt. Onana is a worse keeper.

Probably has got a pick & mix bag down there. Yum yum, those cola bottles.
If you read it carefully I didn’t go into whether DDG was good enough. The question was and still is, whether Onana is an improvement?I doubt there is anyone who thinks Onana is the answer. But that’s still doesn’t mean letting DDG go was wrong - that was absolutely the right decision.
Basically champions league campaign last time round.Honestly think it's gone under the radar how much points he costs us.
