F1 Season 2025

Dont forget the pace is way down so its likely not as large an impact
My theory (plucked from thin air) is the damaged front wing is helping with the ground effect + reduced drag from missing endplate. I'd be surprised if they don't change it before the end of the race for scrutineering though.

Leclerc doesn't seem to miss that wing endplate much

Also, that Red Bull is fecked. Lawson struggling to get past the Alpines and Williams, Max unable to keep up with Ferrari.. Max was absolutely right when he said it would be hard to keep the Ferraris behind and that he wasn't thinking about the podium at all. And of course Helmut Marko was full of it again

Hadjar in P11 after that start last weekend must be feeling ace. If he's lucky and someone retires or fecks up he can even get a point.

And he pits 10s later

Pirelli's tyres are so unpredictable and boring. I mean, it's just one level harder than the one they used in first stint and by the looks of it they can last 3 times more, unbeliveable.

Half expected Ferrari to stay true to form and change Lewis' front wing there

Piastri wont have many easier race wins than this in his career

Norris brake problems, will this be the classic George race? No mans land most of the race and then inherit a podium/better podium at the very end.

Nothing wrong with the cars or the track it's tyre management which has made this boring, want to keep the racing natural but times like this you need some sort of mandatory pit stops.

That view of Max's wing bending under speed (insert drooling smiley).

f1 tv direction why are they cutting to the front nose cam

Such a boring race. Epic fail from racing bulls doing 2 stop after a brilliant qualifying session

You know it’s bad when the director has focused heavily on the ‘battle’ for 14th. The only places where any overtake action seemingly possible

Piastri sounding like he wins races every Sunday, then is off to do some laundry and a run to the supermarket.

Antonelli DotD utterly bizarre.

Wow Max. Nice overtake. Car's suddenly come alive as well after being shite for most of the race.
This is the same problem Mercedes had last season, when the car would come alive towards end of races when the fuel load was much lower.

Kimi won the popularity vote but they should really scrap DotD. The driver of the day is the winner of the GP.

Not necessarily, you could have a recovery drive from the back of the grid to 2nd or 3rd. Or a epic midfield battle.

Piastri just managed the tyres and tried not to fall asleep.

Getting rid of point for fastest lap was just stupid and it needs to be brought back. Adds action to dull races like this.

Sure then come up with a metric for that and award it to whoever fulfills that metric as "Recovery driver of the day".

Currently it's basically a competition for the social media departments of the driver's agencies.

Oh and being first in a race and keeping the speed without fecking up is a skill in itself. It's not easy at any level of racing. He didn't have the speed other dominating cars recently had where they could drive off 20s into the lead and then hang about.
