Israel-Palestine | Genocide in Gaza

I think Israel behaves like the neighborhood bully, but it should be pointed out that there has been rocket fire from Lebanon this morning, for the second time in a week.
Oh God forbid anyone fires back at you.

Why hit Beirut though? Did Hezbollah even claim responsibility for the attack?

If I had to guess, Israel was either using this as an excuse to attack Beirut, or sent a message to the Lebanon government and military who are in charge of preventing attacks toward Israel from their territory.

Or, not least, it's Bibi sending a message to his base: Look, I reacted in a brutal way, I'm a strong leader.

I'm also pretty sure Hezbollah did not fire those rockets (or the six rockets a week back) as it wants to keep the ceasefire.

Is there any point in this kind of sentence at all?
Because Israel behave exactly like the Nazi? Why can't that be pointed out?

Most people are comfortable calling the likes of Bannon and Musk a Nazi even though they haven't murdered anyone. Why can't we called a nation who have committed genocide, Nazi?

I'm not making excuses here, but might as well put all the facts on the table. It's not been one-sided.
You guys have fighter jets, tanks, and a whole lot of weapons from US, not to mention nuclear warheads. The other side have self made rockets. It's as one sided as it gets

Because they haven’t behaved exactly like the nazis? Or worse as the initial poster said?

The nazi term isn’t used to just describe every single shitty thing happening in the world. Nobody calls the Hutu Nazis or the Turks in the 1910s or king Leopold or Al-Bashir or Assad or Pol Pot. Nor do we call them mongols or imperial Japanese.

It’s such an inaccurate, pointless comparison borne of ignorance.

Israel is a bully, a brutal occupier, ethnic cleanser and currently committing genocide. Humans have been doing variations of that since we existed. Most of them have not been nazis.

It’s completely pointless.

Israel is doing what Nazi's did, just slower. It has the same goals, based on the same supremacy bullshit masked by national security, also the same reason that Nazi use.
If I can't called Israel Nazi because they haven't killed 6 million Palestinians, that would be pointless because there's only 2 million Palestinian in Gaza and West Bank.

Calling it Nazi would have a point because Israel always come back to what Nazi did to the Jews in Europe to justify the ethnic cleansing to the Palestinians. If they're doing the same thing then their reasoning will become pointless

Again, no they’re not. You really need to educate yourself on what the nazis actually did. Not everything wrong and evil is nazi.

There are not only 2 million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. There are about 5 million on those 2 regions. Another 1.2 million who live in Israel itself. And around another 3 million who live as formally registered refugees in surrounding countries. Then others scattered around the world.

I didn’t even mention 6 million Jews, you did. You don’t have to kill 6 million people to be a nazi.

Needless to say, Israel have been breaching the ceasefire in Lebanon since early on.

Correct. Obviously a person can disagree as to whether the comparison is fair or valid, but the rhetorical point is clear. Just as the rhetorical point is clear when people call such-and-such 'fascists' or 'hamas supporters' and whatnot.

That's exactly what you're doing. Again.

Nope. I'm pointing out the facts. I don't think the rocket fire justified that sort of retaliation, but people should realise it did not happen out of nothing. Once they have the facts, they can think whatever they want of it.

A very different tone on BBC News this morning, quite a critical tone on the Beirut attack and they've got "Outrage at Israel's killing of medics" as a headline. An actual direct attribution for once.

Handcuffed and summary executed, nothing is beneath the moral scum.

Hezbollah doesn’t have any fighter jets. Yet the Israelis bomb the shit out of Lebanon and Gaza continuously.

Israel hasns't been bombing the shit out of Lebanon continuously.

Mind you, if rockets are fired from Lebanon toward Israel, what do you expect Israel to do? Say that Lebanon don't have fighter jets so we won't use our own in order to make it a fair fight?

Netanyahu appoints a new head to the Israeli Security Agency.

His base is angry because it turns out the guy - former commander of the navy - participated in the protests against the judicial reforms. He also criticised Trump's climate policy.

Within 24 hours, Netanyahu cancels the appointment.

It's a circus. And Gaza's just a pawn.

Oh please. Israel has violated the ceasefires in both Lebanon and Gaza continuously since the moment they were implemented.

The question you ask could easily be flipped on to Israel. If you are being bombed by fighter jets and drones ever since the ceasefire came in to effect, how can you not expect a response?

While I tend to think that violations of the ceasefire in Gaza were mostly from Israel, when it comes to Lebanon, both sides were guilty of it.

Never mind that their fighter jets bomb entire residential buildings and then kill anyone who comes after to help those who might've survived.

There's not one justified fight Israel is involved in, and definitely not one while they're committing genocide. Any discussion with the IOF apologists crowd about those acts is entirely pointless. I learned that repeatedly over the last year and a half.

In other news, bakeries were forced to close today in Gaza due to a lack of flour and diesel.

A month-long blockade with no food, water and fuel entering Gaza. This alone makes it a open-and-shut case of genocide for any cnut who still refuses to see it this way.
