The timing of them opening up the network is interesting. Trying to generate some cash flow to compensate for car sales that are well below target?

In terms of the network being a reason to buy a car, it probably depends where you live. In Ireland it's been a faff using high speed chargers at motorway services for the last few years, as they would regularly all be in use when you needed one. Which made me cast envious glances at the Tesla supercharger hubs, that typically only had one or two cars using the eight available chargers. With those opened up to non-Tesla cars that's the end of my one and only reason for considering a Tesla. And I'm enjoying hooking my car up to them, thus reminding anyone who drives past and didn't realise that reason no longer exists.

He's gone very quiet recently after his almost hourly stories taking top spot in news headlines for the past couple of months.

He's had big fallouts with Trump cabinet members and lots of really disturbing stories that will undoubtedly be investigated have come out. Especially those where Russians have been said to have been given access to top government servers & information.

Also he's complained about the online hate he's received and the vandalism and of course being bullied on his favourite online game so much he had to leave.

Put all that with the Tesla sales and shares issues and I think people have stepped in and asked him to take a back seat. His DOGE position ends soon anyway as a consultant he's only allowed to work for or represent the Government for 3 months.

I also think his constant drug use won't be helping his mental state either. All that negativity doesn't go well with the kind of drugs he's admitted he uses, or those he hasn't admitted but it's obvious at times he clearly does.

I wouldn't be surprised if he went quiet for a while, or he continues on and loses it completely in a massive public meltdown and fall from grace. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium with him which definitely makes sense given his obsessive compulsive and ADHD behaviour.

It is very easy to just not drive a Tesla (if you got one just trade it whenever its financially possible) while its impossible to get by without ChatGpt if you’re working a corporate job.

I just hope there are dire consequences for him, so that it serves as lesson to all billionaires they just can’t wake up one day and try to take over the world and try to create a technocrat authoritarian state or whatever their nerdy manifesto was.

Singling out one part of what musk is part or started. Or if you think that Facebook or Amazon is much different than Musk turd. They are all in with different styles. Good luck boycotting all of them

People that has a Tesla before Musk was a to obvious nazi asshole has not so easy not to drive a Tesla. Maybe you are rich and can change a car the way you change socks. But normal people when they buy a car is an investment for years, maybe more than 10 years and ditching and switching cars just because means the loss of thousands of dollars.

Hurting Musk me likes, but not at the cost of people that has nothing to do with the turd when they took the decision. New owners? they might be MAGAturds or simply disinformed people that might go for the advantageous prices that Tesla might be offering and they might deserve to be criticized, but maybe we should take a look at ourselves on what we do with many other products or platforms, specially with people commenting or enjoying when private citizens get their Tesla's damaged

On a personal note, the wife of an acquantance of mine (good friend of my fiancee) got thrown a rock on her tesla while she was driving and got injured heavily, She was brought to the hospital and she is fine....Oh did I mentioned that she was pregnant? I guess the baby was guilty to ride the Tesla as well. Fortunately the nothing wrong with the pregnancy either

To be fair, I paid money to Tesla, a company that is owned by Elon Musk, to drive my EV to my parents house for Easter. Owning Elon Musk was a happy accident.

If I went on some sort of weird crusade, driving from supercharger to supercharger, purely to let other people know you don’t need a Tesla to use one that would be mental. So give me some credit here.

If you’re not gonna use it you’ll generate less output, hence risk getting fired.

This is also untrue, as me and everyone in my industry is working with data that mostly isn't available on the internet.

We'd probably be fired for actually using ChatGPT for our work.

I was actually being broader than that, and most consulting jobs in general require you to analyze internal business data.

Internal business data which i'm sure the client isn't going to happy to be permanently stored on an LLM.
