Just shit every week, consistently shit.

I cannot fathom how a club can spend billions, have players on hundreds of thousand of pounds a week to play that shit consistently.
It's kind of impressive really

So basically we need players able to play football but it’s really because of the system we are failing?

We were crap with Ten Hags 4231, and we’re crap but in a different way with the 3-4-2-1.

OGS and Mou had us play a pragmatic counter attacking brand of football which was deemed not good enough. If Amorim got us playing with a low block and counter attacks, would we be satisfied?

Utd were crap in Ten Hags formation because it effectively ended up as 4-1-----------4-1.

The last time this group of players were consistently played in a system with tactics that suited their strengths was the first half of Ten Hag's first season. If Amorin wants to play his style then fine but we need to stop pretending that failing in the ridiculous no midfield set up Ten Hag moved towards demonstrates that they can't play in a standard 4-2-3-1 either.

Much as I hate to give a young player a hard time, playing with Rasmus is like playing with 10 men. He offers absolutely nothing. I know the other players don’t create a lot for him, if he was to at least hold the ball up, lay it off and get into good positions, then things might happen. As it is, his first touch is abysmal, he has the strength of a child and for his own sake he needs to move on.

Anybody looking forward to Wed night .. ffs I'm not.. cant score goals ffs no matter what, the europa league is the only comp we have scored goals.. not playing a European team on Wednesday..

You can say one signing can’t change a team but a different striker would make all the difference today
Because we created so many chances. We finished the game with 5 shots. It’s deplorable how bad this team his and the coach too.

At this point I just can’t see what we should be doing in the CL, given we get the win against Spurs.

I get that it’s good for economics, PR, recruitment etc.

But how are we gonna balance playing a highly competitive and intense league, and at the same time not to get rinsed by international opponents.

I think we would benefit a lot more from only focussing on one tournament.

Sick of these losses. Not even hoping for wins but draws here and there and it's been only defeats lately. We even look decent in some of these games but ultimately don't get results and don't play enough to avoid defeats.

Hojlund feels like player less in too many games and don't have as much patience for him as before. Does bit better in European games but final will be against PL opposition so I expect van de Ven and Romero to bully him probably. Don't like how Mainoo's looked this season but I'd actually start him in Hojlund's position in the final.

0 wins in the last 8 PL games.

W - 0
D - 2
L - 6

Just 5 goals scored in those last 8 league matches.
14 goals conceded.

Those results won’t matter if we win the Final on Wednesday, but if we lose to Spurs and lose at home to Villa in the last game, it’ll be the worse finish to a season I can ever remember.
Let’s hope Spurs will be as shite as they have been in the league.

Losing has become a habit for this bunch. The worst, the most depressing and the most uninspired group of players to represent Manchester United in my lifetime.

It's beyond belief that so much money has been spent to assemble such a pathetically inept bunch.

I don't think Amorim has any idea how to turn things round and next season could be even worse.

Forget the result they were the better team and deserved the win.
But does anyone know of a more nauseating team of players than Chelsea, including the so called red Palmer, what a bunch of tossers.

Very boring game.
We played ok, Chelsea a touch better overall but did not do much going forward. Good to see Amad play well again, our only outlet in attack, he could be an assist machine if he had better quality with him up front.
Dorgu is gearing up, promising signs from the young player, looks rapid.
We should have a decent chance next week
Glad someone here can make a fair analysis rather than just endlessly moan. We did ok tonight, just missing a proper striker. Ironic some think our players have low IQ's for passing round at the back at the end .. when they clearly couldn't play it forward because of the pitch invader ...

From: Amsterdam

Comment after we lost to West Ham earlier this season with ETH in charge: "Not much EtH can do about this"

Checks out

You’re saying i can’t form a fair opinion just because i’m from Amsterdam?

4-2-3-1 hides inadequacies. Did you see in the 2nd half of this game or any other pl game really that once opponents step up the pressure, our players are not able to move the ball forward because moving the ball forward in a 3-4-3 needs very high technical proficiency. Isn't a formation supposed to suit a team's abilities, this team is bad, but it is definitely not 16th place bad.

Don't care much for PL games, players are awful, praying they could bring out 1 performance and then be on their way out afterwards!

At this point, without the promise and $$ from CL they won't be able to attract or afford the quality of players needed to seriously elevate the team. Having to bring in more unproven developmental players would likely take several more years to pan out and even then there is less likelihood of them reaching that level.

Same rubbish different day, hope we get the game raisers on Wednesday because if they don't turn up we're relegation candidates next season.

Thought we kept Chelsea in check considering they had everything to play for and we were just waiting til Wednesday. Only saving grace was Spurs looked worse in their loss to Villa.

Negatives: Rasmus lost upfront now, Garnacho might as well have been sat in an armchair when Reece James turned him before crossing for the winner, Lindelof never been strong enough to be a PL CB, Ugarte starting to look a liability.

Positives and non-negatives: Dorgu trying but will go the way of the others if we don't improve next year, Maguire has huffed his way into form, Bruno the only real prime quality player in there, Mount and Casimero functioning, Shaw level pegging and somehow uninjured, Mazroui also level pegging, Onana got away with it tonight but is rash, Mainoo did nothing wrong but little else with the time he had, Amad and Bruno stood out for being creative and sometimes providing an actual threat to the opposition.

Amorim: I actually think he wants to win, and with his age and the noise around him before he took over, he must want to prove himself, sign players for him and he will get us up there, it may be painful and it might take time but I just think we need to back a manager and let him create a squad to grow together, could be wrong like, but there you go...

Annoying because we looked decent for the first 25 or so, then pretty much wall to wall dogshit. Rasmus is awful - feels bad to say because he works his bollocks off, but he's genuinely just a very poor footballer for this level. We will look much better with a 9 that actually carries some threat but the ease with which we're played through in the middle of the park remains worrying.
He doesn't work his bollocks off though. He basically just jogs around the pitch. Never makes meaningful contact with any opposition, he just jogs alongside without effort of any sort of pressure on the opposing players.

The biggest takeaway was that Chelsea being anywhere near top 4 shows how shite the league has been this season. They’re shite.

Another game where the lack of a top striker cost us any chance of a win. Mount also has to take that chance.

Feel sorry for Hojlund because it shouldn't be on him to be the only striker for a club the size of ours.

I dont know why Amorim refuses to try Mount or Garnacho or anyone up front. Arsenal do it.

Win first. Style later.

At this point we're not even losing in style
