I can't see Bruno going Saudi at this stage.
It's also very specific to the individual player. Bruno's legs are far, far away from being gone. He's fitter than most 20 year olds in terms of stamina. His injury record is one of the best I've seen too. I can easily see him being a top player well into his 30's.What is this idea that a player crossing 30 will be on the decline now. His prime years are coming up.
So we're ending up net neutral with a worse team? The fee we get for him is paying for Cunha.
The fee from Saudi was £80m wasn't it?Poll this mods. 100m keep or sell.
Yoro. About the only guy guaranteed to start if fitJust realised, who the hell is going to be the captain if leaves? Maguire again?
I thought Ruben was being a 100 million budget right off the bat. Never got the impression that was contingent on sales. The fee we get for him is paying for Cunha.
Why?He wont leave. One of the few times i wished a united player was a mercenary.

Not sure which one you're asking about butWhy?
Martinez is broken. Deligt? maybe but i'm concerned he will be crocked as well. He's also not very vocal, seems quiet. Not casa.De Ligt, Martinez or Casemiro (if he is still here).

As sad as this sounds, i'd probably go with Maguire
All I’m reading here is…he’s got a good set of lungs on him and can run around a lot whilst being regularly available. It's also very specific to the individual player. Honestly, one of the most impressive things about him is that he never seems to get tired, even while covering a lot of distance and playing basically every game. He's a machine.
Our new management have signed Zirkzee, Ugarte and Dorgu. This does seem to be changing with the new management
Are you saying that Bruno and Alan Smith are the same quality? All I’m reading here is…he’s got a good set of lungs on him and can run around a lot whilst being regularly available.
like Alan Smith really
Worked for PSG, had lots of individual brilliance in the team and tried to build round one player in Neymare then Messi and then Mbappe and it never worked out. This year they’ve built a team of players working together and it’s worked out well for them. Not saying we have a team of individual stars but they aren’t a team working in harmony.Man if saudis are handing us a 9 figure sum then we should take it. He is the main man right now but we need to move away from individual brilliance and a more team effort. As much as Id like to surround Bruno with better players we just dont have the money....

They signed them without a run up. It's been stated multiple times (Inc TOTD) that a club normally starts planning for a summer transfer window the September before. Our new management have signed Zirkzee, Ugarte and Dorgu.
They have not earned my trust in the slightest.

Good calls. Personally I hope De Ligt really steps up, which I think he’s capable of.De Ligt, Martinez or Casemiro (if he is still here).
Who is that decent striker that is open to joining?Dunno. He can be an infuriating player and too much of his energy/focus is on pointless shit like diving and incessant whinging but we'd be a Championship side without him. The numbers he put up for a side just above relegation is outrageous.
I'd say keep him. With a decent/good striker to connect with things could look rosy-er.

Dream on200m or no deal. He is a legend.
Well if you are talking PL proven then the two names which come to mind are Watkins and MatetaWell, we'd want a proven goalscorer. Someone who has done it in the PL before. Ideally someone who has played with Bruno before, maybe someone Portuguese so they'd have good chemistry with the other lads in the squad. Someone who is a bit on the older side, with their current club looking to sell. It would be great if they were world-renowned too and would shift a few shirt sales. Hmm.....
Maybe, just maybe they could have not signed players they hadn't had time to consider and waited until they had before spending lots of money. Sorry if that is too wild a conceptThey signed them without a run up. Judge them by this window. Say what you like about Cunha and Delay but they do feel like significant upgrades on what we have, at a good price, seemingly being achieved very early in the window. It feels like both are in demand. Of course I am counting chickens a little
They won't put up that Saudi level of moneyCan see him going Madrid to replace Modric
Yeah?I mean it's quite relevant when talking about his potential decline, is it not? Just compare him with Casemiro who still has the quality but is clearly suffering from a lack of legs. Bruno has another 5 or so top level years in him judging by his current levels of stamina. He was never a player that relied on speed, so I don't see him 'declining' in terms of performance any time soon. All I’m reading here is…he’s got a good set of lungs on him and can run around a lot whilst being regularly available.

I agree. And apart from few exceptions, most good players thrive in their 30s. I believe Bruno will be even better as he ages as he will become more consistent and lose the silliness from parts of his game. It's also very specific to the individual player.
