Am I reading some of the comments right on here? What the feck is going on?

Aporkalypse - give your head a wobble ffs

DevilsOwn - get a grip.

FrankyVulgar - go and have a wank over Messi or Hibernian or whoever the feck you support

Sunny Jim - How can you not dislike him? He's a grade a cnut. An utter fecking shit stain of a man
Oh calm down. None of us are saying he's the second coming, but, he has done a decent job by strengthening their mentality and getting their acts together. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

He's taken over a team that finishes in the top 5 most seasons, and taken them to 5th. Liverpool are playing without pressure atm, football becomes a bit easier when you have no pressure.

Look at them against Braga ffs. Absolutely hopeless. They would beat Braga 5-0 in a one off game no, if there was no pressure on them.

Credit to him for making Liverpool's season look more respectable.

Braga aren't hopeless - after they came to the Emirates and got battered 6-0, they've been far more sensible and mature in defence. They've done remarkably well, and it was no real surprise that there was only 1 goal in two games.

Look - Braga got bounced out of the Champions League with little fuss. Liverpool aspire to be in the champions league. And they can't overcome Braga.
They didn't get bounced out with little fuss. It was their first time in the competition and they got lumbered with Arsenal and the impressive Shakhtar. You're being very disrespectful to them - look at their home record.

Liverpool's best new signing was unavailable for the tie, and they got narrowly beaten. Teams don't win every single game.

Care to elaborate?
Why? You're fecking high if you think otherwise, was plain to see. King Kenny comes swinging in and the "passion" is back. Spineless players.

Arguably, the ones that win trophies win the games that matter.

Braga was a tough ask, but they are roughly Liverpool's level.

Bang, Bang out of order mate. I'm assuming you weren't around in the aftermath of Hillsborough, otherwise you wouldn't have spouted such bilge.

You are absolutely entitled to air whatever opinion you like about him on football issues BUT both he and his wife Marina are quite beyond reproach as people. I suggest you read your history - you owe him a massive apology.

Liverpool tried to convince Villas Boas without results, Dalglish is a second choice.

I find Kenny great craic. I read he had a group of reporters in for a press conference near the start of his current spell at Liverpool and he told them all they could have one question each. One of them raised a hand and said "Nice day Kenny?," as an opener and kenny promptly said "It is, now next question." Skipping on to another supporter. Made me laugh!

From a footballing point of view he's done a good job with Liverpool. I'd like to see a few more years with him at the helm and a couple of the young lads develop. I dont think many can question his bravery in selling Torres and bringing in Carroll and Suarez. Could prove to be very astute business!

Really worried now he's cemented a job there, he's turned Liverpool around and got them on what seems to be a momentum steam train.

I have a really deep sickly feeling in my stomach and the last time I had that they won the CL back in 05!!

Yes great bravery in selling a player who handed in a transfer request and wanted to leave for the last six months.

A good manager who gets the best out of the Liverpool players.

Obvious choice really and you've got to give credit to the new owners for giving him a contract for the good work he's done. If it was a Chelsea or City he would have been out for some foreign name who isn't proven in the Premier League.

They'll still finish 5th/6th though.

I think they should have got someone new in, despite a decent half season (so what?)

Not like the owners had much choice.

If he completely fecks up, then the supporters will happily see the back of him and bemoan that lack of luck he had while he was there, it was the best choice for everybody at the club and how terrible it is that it just didn't work out for them in the end.

And if he does okay, they're all geniuses and everybody will go home delighted.

Win-win.

Anyone else think that Steve Clarke has also had a major influence in the turn around in Liverpools fortunes?
Could be right there he was a big influence at Chelsea wasn't he.

I wonder with Dalglish I mean yeah you can't argue with his experience at Liverpool. And he talks the talk and seems to say the right thing to get media/players/fans onside. But he also struggled at Newcastle and football has changed a lot since the days of his success. Not that Dalglish won't have kept a keen eye on things but we have yet to see him assemble a proper squad which he will need when it comes to competing in four competitions and keeping the squad happy, this is the major difference will be interesting to see how it pans out.....

The Liverpool fans have hyped Dalglish being their manager to ridiculous levels.

A lot of them are actually convinced he's going to win them the title next season, or that if they'd had him all season they'd have won it this year!

Ridiculous! Liverpool didn't finish in the top 4 last season, they're not going to this season either, and that's just because they're not good enough and the teams above them are simply better. It would have been the same if Dalglish was there from the beginning. Liverpool are playing well now, when there's nothing to play for and no pressure, but they'd probably have bottled loads of games when they could actually make a difference earlier on in the season even if they'd had Dalglish.

United, Chelsea, Arsenal and City are better than Liverpool, Spurs are on around the same level. Liverpool will be attempting to get in the top 4 next season, they won't be challenging for the title and anyone who thinks they will just because of Dalglish is deluded.

He's done a good job to be fair, although it wasn't exactly difficult to do a better job than Hodgson. There seems to be a renewed sense of optimism surrounding the club since Dalglish took over.

They still need plenty of investment, but the right signings in the right areas of the team could see them back competing for a top 4 spot next season. Looks like there'll be 6 strong sides next season, which can only be a good thing for the Premier League as a whole.

Get a grip there buddy, no harm in bit of banter etc... Fine with not liking him because of rivalry but less of your needless hate filled shite.

What has Dalglish really done to make you despise him? He was a great player and has a great record as manager in his initial Liverpool days and with Blackburn. It may or may not work out for them next season (by that I mean finishing 4th). Of course we will all be pleased if it doesn’t.

Him and Fergie have lots of respect for each other. Any animosity that may have been between the 2 years ago is well and truly over now

I actually don't mind Dalglish as a person. I also respect his achievements as a player and manager. The overhyping by some Liverpool supporters is puzzling sometimes, but I guess they overhype a lot of things. He has been managing under next to no pressure the last few months, given the backing he has had from the fans in comparison to Hodgson, the lack of ambition in the league and the immediate 50 mil subsidy he was handed, which made things very comfortable. Lets see what happens next season

I enjoyed our title-race against them couple of seasons back. United vs. Liverpool, the way it should be.

It's the sensible choice for them, although I don't think there's much he can do in terms of challenging for the title, assuming ourselves, Chelsea and City all strengthen our squads. I think they'll definitely finish above Spurs, and if Arsenal persist in refusing to buy anyone with a spine then there's a fair chance they'll overtake them too.

Having said all that, I still hope he fails miserably and gets plagued by boils and genital warts.

He's done the first bit well. That said he was always going to improve them to 5/6. If you look at the teams above Liverpool when he took over how many could reasonably be expected to stay there for the course of a whole season. Given Sunderland’s collapse and Villa's relegation battle.

The next step is the hard one. Getting Liverpool into the top four against the spending of City and Chelsea with arsenal likely to bring in some experienced players and a defence and United as defending champions (most likely). That is a tough ask.

Because there's a thread on this very page entitled "Hodgson" where those comments are done to death, today is all about Kenny.

And you know that for a fact do you?

Absolutely spot on. I'm as happy about his contract as Kenny.

Spot on mate.
