They're second favourites to win the champions league outright ....
Couldn't ask for a clearer example of why people shouldn't put any stock in betting odds. Loads of people placing bets after hearing Kane was going to Bayern obviously. No chance they're winning CL.

Do we get to write this Kim fella off as shit conceding three goals to this bunch of wasters or does that only work with United players?
I’m not impressed by him at all. Never was.

Do the people who think that a goalie error and/or penalty swung it.... really think that?

Bayern coasted in the second half, which is almost exclusively why they conceded 2 soft goals and had about 20 shots, a lot of which from half asses build up. Score flattered United, but still good to come out with, it's a team known for caving.

Like the assist that Rashford got from playing on the left then?
The hate boner people have for Rashford is unreal. Every single matchday thread is filled with people blaming him for absolutely everything. It's getting so boring. The truth is that nearly all our attacks were coming down the left with Rashford and Reguilion for most of the match, with Pellistri and Dalot barely in the game. And then when Garnacho came on for Pellistri and Rashford switched to the right...most of our attacks were suddenly coming down the right.

It's hilarious that when Garnacho got on the end of a Rashford cross they instantly started saying that Garnacho had done more than Rashford 'in 5 seconds' ....while simultanesouly ignoring the fact that the cross came from Rashford! Do they realise how ridiculous they're being?

Pretty sure we won that 4-3!

    The scoreline flattered us.

Midfield an absolute mess again tonight, I can't for the life of me compute what EtH is telling them but I can't believe it's track your runners when you fancy and ensure there's at least a 50 yard chasm between you and the defence?!
I stand corrected. The loss was on aggregate. Just remembered they were toying with us until Becks came on..

A narrow away loss to one of the top four teams in Europe is actually nothing to be ashamed of. We'll get through the group.

    Onana poor(what do we hsve
    Dalot not good enough,
    Lindelof not good enough,
    Martinez embarrassed to be there,
Reguilon better than I thought he was
    Casemiro doesn’t look fit
    Erickson trying out of position
    Bruno never gives in
Rashford couldn’t stop shooting last game, refused to shoot today, very huffy player
    Pelestri faught for everything
Hojland looks like a proper CF
McSauce once again looks miles out of his depth
Martial actually put the effort in(won’t be seen again till the next CL game)
    Garnacho class player
I'm actually impressed you managed to get half of their names wrong.

Well at least we didn't give up... we kept pushing and hopefully proved to themselves if they fight they can score. Just need better players that are injured to come back and shore up the defensive woes

That midfield needs to be sorted out urgently.
Amrabat better slot in as we hope, as there’s nothing else we can hope for.
I wonder whether Amrabat replaces Casemiro because while the Brazilian has the heart he hasn't got the legs. Trouble is we need a number 8. Mount has never ever impressed me ever and was for me a total waste of money along with Onana.

Amrabat, and Mainoo can come in and make a difference. Casemiro at the base of the three. Push Bruno further forward. I think we will click.

Only positive was Hojlund scoring. Very loyal player waiting out other club interests to join the team. I really do hope the manager gets his stuff together because it will be disastrous to see another promising young player ruined by this clubs inadequacy.

Goals change games, so do refs.

United’s performances are definitely not good enough and not to the standards needed, but man the amount of big calls that turn games has been very unfortunate.

He only has to watch them back to know that he's not at fault for most of them. Just like today, he made 1 mistake all game which cost us a goal but he made up for that with some great saves.
It will take a knock on his confidence regardless. he looked dejected and Regulion had to comfort him at one point of the game.

I bet an absolute ton of people said that about Argentina after they lost to Saudi in their first game of the World Cup.

Look at the goals total tally - Casemiro has 3, and a bunch of feckers have 1 each for the season.
I know mate, especially Casemiro first goal, he charged into box as if he as fed with our attackers exchanging cute passes and was like feck this let get in there and score myself

Play Casemiro as an 8, amrabat 6. I’d give that a go.

I'm amazed by the amount of people assuming Mainoo will somehow come in and change the season. He's done so little to suggest that he will, other than having a decent pre-season. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't start a PL game all season and just has a few bit parts in the cups. The guy is 18, with a single 10 minute substitute appearance in the PL.

Anthony Gordon went for £45m. The team that wanted go buy him just sold a player in his position for £105m.

And this place is complaining that we didn't sell someone for £15m less, so that we could sign.. the guy we brought in anyway.
Difference being a team was willing to pay for those players. £30m was perfectly fine for player so shit.

I’m really critical of the team this season, but that game should have ended 3-3 and would have been fair.. we’ve just had some absolutely shocking refereeing decisions going against us lately
No, it should have not. Zero urgency, bad individual performances, training game level goals conceded. We deserve to lose and if we continue that way we deserve to lose Sat eve at Burnley too. The losing streak must continue as long as it takes those players to realize wins need effort and urgency and suffering.

I don't know man, I can see encouraging stuff now and then but nothing seems to fit together. Maybe it just all clicks next weekend but we also could just fall into a downward spiral that takes all the hopes of making it to the CL again before the year is even over. On top of that we have become the club of false dawns, last season we had a false dawn, this year it all falls apart, I just can't shake the feeling that I have seen all this too many times already.
Oh feck yeah, I feel all that with you. But I have a strange intuition that survives through all this. Can’t shake it.

Playing Ericson and Casemiro in the midfield double pivot will cost ETH his job, Ericsen lost possession and he’s now a passenger in the team, bring on Hanibal

There’s no way ETH will drop Casemiro, instead he’ll put Amrabat or Mainoo next to him to try and save his job, ETH is not stupid for everything Ericsen gives you in offence he gives minus 2 in defence.

Bruno tonight showed his best position is an 8, united almost need to play two 6’s and Bruno has a hybrid 8/10 and look for an option on right wing.

We maybe try Mount on right wing or Rashford right, Martial left and Hojlund. As a fluid 3 that interchange position. I still think we’ll struggle to qualify from this group simply because of our inept defence and our ability to concede goals.

I don't know what is the solution to this, but he kept playing this midfield away from home last season and we looked weak time and time again. And yet, here we go again.
If he doesn’t get some proper legs or physicality next to Casemiro, he’ll get himself sacked !

Not a single new signing has managed to make an impact this season. Reguilon is the only one who's looking decent.
Give Hojlund time, I think he’ll come good and we need to sign Reguilon if he carries on like this as he’s a huge upgrade on Mallacia.

A few calling for Mainoo to be a starter?
Coby is still just a kid.
An excellent prospect, looking very mature, measured and advanced for his age.
He’s going to be an important player for us, if it all comes good.
    But he’s still a kid.
Inexperienced, a couple of years to go in physical development etc.
I think ETH will use him sparingly, on the right occasions.
You can’t expect him to be thrown in at the deep end.

Getting Amrabat into this side can’t come soon enough though.
Every team is going to target our soft CM, until we sort it out.
