WhoDaGOAT is either a massive WUM, or the most depressing pessimistic fan I've ever encountered. Every single post appears to be something along the lines of "we can't make top 4", "no-one cares if we go out of the FA Cup to Blackburn", "Džeko is as good as or better than Zlatan", "Salah is better than Miki".

Appears to love all things Chelsea though weirdly enough.

    Start the fringe players.

Those who are on suspensions in EL should start too. We need to keep the players match fit as matches are coming fast and we have to be ready.

Having players with hunger to play and win will beneficial for us.

Us against Roma would be a very exciting fixture.
That will excite me. It's been a while since United last played a reputable European team. There is a different feel to those kind of knockout games altogether. How I miss the big CL nights. :(

We're comfortably better than those teams. Short of a dreadful performance we should be making at least the final.
Not sure how we're comfortably better than Roma. We're 6th in the PL. I'd have them favourites to beat a side that couldn't beat Hull or Liverpool at home recently.

We can afford to play a decent side today and rest players for ASSE. Hopefully we will see something similar to the side that'll face Southampton next week.

Salty because you couldn't change my opinion. I'm not a sheep like most.

Again, the mods obviously turn a blind eye to long term posters.
Thread derailed by serious wumming!

Anyway, can't wait for this game. February could end up being a great month for us. I'll take any win today so long as we get into the next round, though we'll do Blackburn quite comfortably today, Then a home draw against Lincoln to piss off the Berties big time.

    Have predicted 3-0 to United.

Just know Fellaini is starting this. The worse he is the more stubborn Mourinho gets about playing him while other players gets dropped and have to earn their place.

A draw won't surprise me today.

Please god let us get no injuries.

I don't see the need to play many starting XI players but then again I want to take this seriously as it's another cup we can win. But the other side of me wants to wrap everyone in bubble wrap before the final.

I have a feeling this year is going to have a few crackers along the way including the final. All top 6 teams will want to win it, especially since the league is basically done and dusted.

Any word of Phil or Rojo?

    Rojo is with the squad.

Maybe he will play Shaw, after what he said yesterday?
Don't think he will rest DDG two games in a row!
Don't think we will see Felli any time soon as starter!
Herrera will play. I would rest Zlatan, put Rashford up front, Martial left, Jesse right. Mhki behind. Have a feeling Darmian will play also. Jose can rest few big boys, and at the same time put good enough team to beat Roma.... er..Blackburn...

Carrick can't get in our starting XI, we have 5 clean sheets on the bounce in a tougher league and Bailly is the best centreback of the bunch. Herrera is a better player than Naingogolan and Dzeko is a failed reject from a city side who can boast no player who has scored more goals than Zlatan this season. You are seriously reaching here mate.
    He's Wumming. Got to be.

I was just thinking of the history weve had with Blackburn Rovers. So many amazing games at Ewood park. I bet a few on here wont believe me that the following players used to play for blackburn as well as us.

    Andy Cole
    Dwight Yorke
    Wes Brown
    Phil Jones
    Mark Hughes
Henning Berg. (GOD, remember him. Where is he now lol)

What the hell Roma has to do with our game vs Blackburn in FA cup?

Also, Džeko one of the best striker in the last 10 years.
Good player but that guy whothegoat or whatever is talking some absolute bollocks.

Hell, I have been drawn in the conversation as well..

    I thought it's at 6:15 CET but it's 5:15, that changes everything. :)

Really want us to rest most of the big guns for the next 2 games with such a congested fixture list coming up. I feel we can beat both Blackburn and St etieene with our second team so that is what we should play.

Lots. I'd swap most of our centre backs for theirs. I'd swap Herrera for Nainggolan. I'd swap Carrick for Paredes. Salah is better inside forward than anyone in our squad. Džeko is as good as, if not better than the current version of Ibrahimović.

We're two pretty even teams overall.
We would spank Roma. I wouldn't be surprised if it was another 7-1 job.

A lot of would have, should have, could have in the change of score prediction, stick or twist? Went with 0-2 United switched to 1-3 United.

Would love to have Fosu-Mensah having a game in midfield and Axel Tuanzebe 90 mins at the back but doubt it will happen

With so many games coming up the last thing united need is a draw. I think Mourinho will therefore put out a reasonably strong team. However this is a difficult line up to predict.

As Herrera is suspended for the return Europa league game I think he will start.

    De Gea

    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind

    Schweinsteiger Herrera

    Rashford Mkhitaryan Martial

    Zlatan

    0-2 United

Seems Valencia & Zlatan are out of the squad.

Hoping we rest lots of players for this personally.

Apart from Ander who will miss St Etienne.

If I'm not mistaken, Bailly is one yellow card away from suspension, so maybe Mourinho will rest him as well and give Rojo a chance against St. Etienne. So Bailly today.

It's a bit tricky with resting or not. Mkhitaryan could maybe be used as a sub today, just to get a bit of " match tempo" after returning from illness. Pogba shouldn't play today, but I Think Mourinho will use him hoping he can score today, to get more confident (hit the woodwork 8 times).

Oh dear thanks for that :)
I'll look on the bright side as at least Valencia gets a well deserved rest. I hope both are rested and not injured.
I have now changed my prediction line up - Ronero for De Gea and TFM for Valencia
Just realised Zlatan not in squad either - so Rashford moves across in his place and Lingard on the right.
Maybe I should stick to to reading the posts and say nothing
