He's simply too small and slow. A couple of inches taller and a few yards faster and he would be some player.
Don't think he's too small but my god is he slow. Anyone even on the caf would do well to run slower than Blind.

    Height is a non-issue.
For 2 years Kante (yes that small DM who played for LCFC and CFC's title winning sides) did very well in the DM position.
He's weak though. Kante has more speed and more tenacity to get around the midfield. Blind doesn't have that. He's got great positioning, but will be out muscled and out fought by most midfielders in the league.

Martial did a dribble then failed the final ball:

'Martial has to play on the LW'

    WTF is this forum.
That's because this team has no flair and when finally a player takes another on, it feels good.

It shows that we have the players to play more expansive football and it shows what martial can do if he is given a run of games.

Also bonkers to say that he failed the final ball when he created a chance.

What has Shaw done that Ashley doesn't do better?
Literally everything. He's a better tackler, he's more aggressive, he's better in the air, he's stronger, faster & taller. He attacks better as he's more of a natural when it comes to going down the outside since he's left footed and doesn't cut inside and give the ball away every time.

? I'd like to see stats of that. I'm certain he had a run of three or four games that he started right before Sanchez was brought in (then he got shunted to the right for a game, afterwards benched) and he was scoring in each of them with assists as well.
The last four games before Sanchez was signed:
    Everton (A) - 77 mins played, 1 goal in a 2:0 win
Derby County (H) - 23 mins played off the bench, 1 assist
    Stoke City (H) - 80 mins played, 1 goal and 1 assist in a 3:0 win
    Burnley (A) - 90+4 mins played, 1 goal in a 1:0 win

Martial gets a goal or assist in 0.58 games he starts

Our best player in that regard is Lukaku with 0.73

Martial has 20 goals and assists, of which 7 are off the bench. These 7 goals and assists have come in 88 minutes of game time.

That is a staggering 7.15 goals per 90 minutes coming off the bench.

Decent game considering it was a heavily rotated team. Not much cohesion but a decent amount of running which is nice.

Martial, Rashford, Lingard, and Pogba did well in flashes. Really hope they're all still here next season.

0.58 assist or goal per game is not far off Lukaku, also considering he comes from the left. Also it seems like he was starting to change this trend in his last four games (see @Damien post right above yours) before he was sacrificed for Sanchez.

Yeah my bad, I forgot about that.
He also setup blind with an open shot on goal, which he miskicked

like I said, this forum seems to only deal in extremes tho, so if you don't have a direct assist or goal "you didn't do much"

he had some hiccups in that performance mind, it wasn’t stellar, but he kept pushing forward and def caused problems for them, he also set up Rashford, and the ball after the dribble he put in the box wasn't a bad ball we needed more than just Lukaku in the box there

BT Sport and Graham Poll adamant Bournemouth should've had a pen.

Funny how there was no mention of Dawson making the exact move on Lukaku on Sunday that has gone unmentioned and unpunished.

Stop using logic! It's almost like we have an actual good left back and are using and old right winger instead for no reason.

They only mention penalties when it's against us. Nobody mentions when other teams get away with it like city did at the weekend. Or when we should get them.
