I hope he doesn't make too many changes. We need the points to stay ahead of Liverpool and Spurs. Bournemouth can be very good in their home games.

One or two changes but have the bench good and ready also.

Doesnt matter what happens here tonight lots of people will be miserable anyway. I think Top 4 is basically secured so shouldnt be tons of pressure on the players. Actually in hindsight thats probably a bad thing for this team.

Luckily for us Spurs had too much attacking coaching and dropped points against Brighton :D

It also looks like Arsenal will play the kids against us, with their Europa league tie on either side of the game. So we have no more tough games.

I think 3 wins from our remaining games will be enough, because Liverpool will rest players for the CL and have a tough away game at Stamford Bridge.

I hope whoever is picked goes out and really puts in a fantastic performance, make selection for the semi final as difficult as possible.

Jose is going to rest players. Just like Poch did. The smokescreen excuse is that some of them don't deserve to play after the last performance. I fully expect Pogba to be dropped but appear against Spurs because he trained well despite not playing. Martial will start because Sanchez will also be punished/rested .
That's an interesting theory and it will be interesting to see if it turns out to be true.
I honestly feel that Pogba (if he does not play in today's game) will definitely not start against Spurs.
I think Jose does not want to risk using players who may lose him the Spurs game. That's a big game for him and whoever wins it, will probably win the FA Cup.

I think both Rashford and Martial will start.
If Martial doesn't start I think he's off in the summer. He has to play along with Rashford. And even if they have OK games he should stick with at least one for the weekend. They need a run of games.

Sanchez should be dropped. He has played well once (City) since he has arrived.

I would love to see Martial-Lingard-Rashford behind Lukaku tonight.

Hopefully Martial plays with Sanchez on the bench. Jose needs to show if He really means what He said.

I'd go with this every week. They need a good run of games together and as Sanchez has done nothing, the decision should be easy.

Their back 4 is poor, they've only kept one clean sheet since November so I'm hoping we have a crack at them and play on the front foot.. Lukaku will fancy his chances against 33 year old Simon Francis if he gets the right service.. If our midfielders and centre halves are aggressive early and stomp a bit of authority we should have too much in the attacking third for their backline.. Whether we are aggressive or revert to a deep block as usual is a different matter though!

Yes me too. I'd actually like to see Rashford upfront with Martial on one side and Lingard the other. Lots of interchanging and movement. Rashford isn't going to stay static. Hes going to drag the centre backs and drift to wider areas. It has potential. The Martial and Rashford combo was really good for us at the end of LVGs reign and we haven't given them more opportunities to develop that partnership. I remember them linking up to devastating effect against West Ham a few times and other games too. We need to provide the right conditions for them go out there and perform without pressure and with freedom to express themselves. Not fear of being dropped everytime there's a misplaced pass. Otherwise you start to overthink things and you don't play your natural game.

Obviously, this is never going to happen. Lukaku will start. But I would really like to see this. It's a great game to hand someone like Chong his debut as well. If only, right?

Thought he looked a level above all the rest in the first league game against Huddersfield. Then that version of Sanchez disappeared and hasn't really reappeared since. But he's still been our most creative player since arriving, hasn't he?

Would like to see Martial at the top, with Rash, Lingard and Sanchez behind.

I'd like to see a really strong team and tell players to earn their place for the spurs game:
    De gea
    Lindelof - smalling - rojo
    Valencia ---- Herrera - pogba ---- young
    Sanchez
    Rashford - martial
We know what matic, lingard and Lukaku bring to the table, let's rest them for the weekend and let these other attacking players express themselves

    I've gone for a 2-0 loss.

Problem is, it might be even worse than that unless JM does actually put out a team with 7 or 8 players who are going to give their all to make sure that they will play on Saturday, because there are 4 or 5 who seem to be automatic picks and simply don't deserve to be ' automatic '

On the other hand, our lot are so consistantly inconsistant we could just as easily win very comfortably tonight.

I wouldn't mind this either. But Mourinho does not want to try different things re Lukaku. He plays ST every single game. It's a shame because Lukaku is actually fantastic in wide areas. Good crosser. Even if it's for the last 20mins of the match. Lukaku could go on the wing and Rashford/Martial could go through the middle. It would ask different questions of the opposition CB's.

This will be tough to watch. Players look like they are already enjoying their summer holidays. Maybe 1-0 to us if we are to win.

Damn!! Would have loved to play their first team. They always lose at OT :D

Martial, Rashford and Sanchez front 3 would be fun to see, Lingard just behind and Matic and Herrera in the middle. Shaw at left back. Go at them with all the pace we have.

Lumping it forward to Lukaku is going to be a breeze for Bournemouth. They're decent at defending aerially, but they're hopeless when you disrupt them with movement. Run at them, move the ball quickly, and we should run them over. So instead, watch us play a slow team involving Mata and Fellaini with Darmian and Lindelof at fullback or something.

The doom and gloom is setting in early.

I predict a lifeless 0-0. I also predict the caf won't be able to take the strain afterwards.

    De Gea
    Young Bailly Jones Rojo
    Herrera McTominay
    Sanchez Lingard Rashford
    Lukaku

Subs: Pereira, Lindelof, Shaw, Fellaini, Pogba, Mata, Martial

Don't really know what to expect. I'd like to see Valencia, Smalling and Matic rested and some of the squad players who haven't played much get some game time, but it's hard to know who Jose trusts or not any more.

Mixed feelings. Happy we got a midweek game but seriously, there is nothing to play for. I am not going to get excited over finishing above Liverpool until they are knocked out of the CL, as otherwise it won't matter for them.

FA Cup is all we got to feel excited about. Make it fecking count and atleast prepare for it today by hammering Bournemouth. If it isn't too much to ask.

We will go out with the bit between the teeth and take the game to the opposition - the players know that they need a performance so they will click tonight - they will score 4 or 5 playing some lovely high tempo football. They will be smiling. They will enjoy this game , take 3 points and 3 or 4 goals away.

............................OR - we will probably lose this game 1-0. Great prep for the weekend.

Yeah he's oddly our best crosser and his presence on the right usually ends up confusing the opposition defence as well. Shame he can't play as our right winger. Don't think he has the energy or stamina for it.

I'd put Martial up top and Rash on the wing because Rash has more energy and stretches defences more, while Martial has better finishing.
