SOme of you have short memories. THese games where we look devoid of motivation or even a clue how to pass the ball have happened about 10 times this season, but all I can see is blame it on the players. Blame it on Martial and Rashford as if young players don't need consistent game time or coaching to be taught how to move in and around the box. Blame Pogba for trying to actually create something, and losing the ball a few times.

I just can't see how the manager can get away scot free with this.

    There's only one United!
    The thing is this:

Pogba should grab games like this and lead the team to victory but he has lots to learn,

Martial has made himself available all through that second half. He is even dropping deep to get the ball, which is a clear sign the midfield are no doing their jobs.

For Martial, even though he contributed little in terms of a gol threat, was the only United player to come out of that half with any credit.
I can’t believe what I am reading. Martial did f@ck all throughout the 90. This is not dribbling olympics!

You think he just says "right lads, just go out there and doss about, don't be sharp and everyone stand still" .Nonsense.

He can pick the wrong players or the wrong formation, or whatever, but a performance this bad lands squarely at the feet of the players imo.

Partly true, but they're grown men. Team really lacks leaders out there as well though .
    This is true...

... if it were a one off.

This happens far too often for it to be just the players. Half our games are like this, sitting deep, not pressing, slow, taking too many touches, complete lack of movement and no cohesion.

Yes the players have been dogshit and deserve criticism but this is clearly the manager and the way they’re being coached.

Do we look like a team that knows what we’re doing in an attacking sense? No and it’s been like this for a huge chunk of the season.

Huddersfield, Newcastle, Brighton, WBA... We've dropped 12 points here... Are we Liverpool in disguise
Don't forget the borefest at Anfield and the shambles against City at home. A singular lack of invention permeates this team. Always down the middle, always the trick or the flick, always the ponderous build-up play. The maddening thing is, we can turn it on when we want to but some of the players look like they can't be arsed. We just don't adapt to opposition tactics as we should do.

The plates have to pass the ball

How many times did we Give it away

Shows how good lukaku is today
This is what I mean. Every time we play poorly it's 'the players, the players, the players.' It's the manager that coaches these guys. What's he doing to get the most out of their abilities? Nothing from what I can see.

Martial FC are making fools out of themselves. The guy did nothing, he's so predictable it's untrue and is so bloody lazy.

"short memories"... I'm pretty sure this phrase comes from a misunderstanding of the concept of short term memory/working memory.

We've lost to all three promoted teams this season.
The bottom placed team too, while drawing with the 18th and 19th placed team.
    Keep living in the past.
The Matic of 14/15 was a beast. It’s been 3 years since then. Why not bring Yorke back cos SAF won the TREBLE with him.
Matic won the league less than a year ago though. So he's still got it.

He’s probably the laziest player in Western Europe. All he does is strut/sulk about the pitch. I am done with the lad, I don’t think he can handle what it takes to be a United player. If he ends up in Arsenal/Chelsea, I don’t care.

I agree, couldn't give a damn if he goes to Arsenal or Chelsea.

What I'd give for a Roy Keane to grab Pogba by his neck and tell him to earn his paycheck or feck off.

You cannot keep benching players like rashford and martial and mata and then expect them to just turn up and score a hat-trick.

Lukaku was absolutely crap in between but was allowed to play himself into form.

Why can't the same luxury be afforded to others?

Jose is a good but a petty manager who only thinks about his reputation. He is wrong in keeping both martial and rashford on the bench. Even when they were good they were benched.

If jose won't change a bit, got no confidence that we will overhaul city and possibly Liverpool.

I made that post during the first half and I feel the assessement was correct at the time.

Why did you feel the need to reply now that the game is over. Obviously you have take it completely out of context.
