Don't expect any reaction from United. Brighton are one of the best possession based teams in England and create chances for fun. If it's a expected loss at least will avoid trimming to Man City in the final which would be much worse. Finish in the top 4 and draw a line under this season....

Brighton favourites with the bookies to beat United in a semi: it’s proper insane when you think about it.
Would be a blessing in disguise if we lost. It would save us from what would be a absolute massacre in the final.

Brighton are quality, I do think we will see a different United (as neutral isn't away...), But I'm not expecting a win. Maybe moreso now that we lost, we might respond. I probably have more faith in Brighton to beat City in the final than we do, but anyway.

    de Gea
    Dalot Lindelof Shaw Malacia
    Bruno Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Martial Rashford
Really hoping Shaw and Martial are fit.

How far does wireless electricity reach?

We need to get Maguire as far from Wembley as we can.

Lucky for us the baboon is suspended.
Just don't get him anywhere near the stadium.
    Or London.
Feck, get him out of the country.

    Greece maybe?

Yes I can hear you Clem Fandango!
Best case scenario - the Emergency elert planned for Sunday is mistimed, going off during the game. The Brighton platers refuse to restart play, worrying about a nuclear strike. The FA gives us a 3-0 win by default.

This has to be the team.

Maguire is suspended so I have hope we wont totally fall apart at the back.

Brighton are in the form of their lives, have a week's preparation, we're off the back a dreadful away European game on Thursday, Martial went off injured, Shaw was limping to end the game, Varane/Martinez/Garnacho/Mctominay injured... It's really not looking good is it?

On the positive side Rashford is back and Bruno returns to the team. Don't think for a second that's going to be enough though given all the other injuries and problem areas we have with the team. Wouldn't surprise me if Shaw is injured and Casemiro has to play centre back, leaving us with Fred as DM.

Can see Brighton just looking much fresher, livelier, and more technically sound than us.

AWB surely has to start to combat Mitoma's dribbling? Don't want another Saint Maximin scenario.

Mitoma isn't really a Saint Maximin type where he can go god mode with dribbling. He's effective for sure but I get the feeling he's more of a smart positioning/movement and quality technique, rather than elite trickery. Wan Bissaka has always struggled with the movement thing. Also with no Varane or Maguire, means we need whatever aerial help we can get - and Dalot is quite good in the air.

I may need some time to get my head clear. Right now after this Sevilla game, I would take 0-1 defeat just to get off easily because I am afraid of another humiliation by City in the final. Martine out for the season. Varane availability is always a question.Shaw looks like he's in the usual couple month shit form again. Perhaps, Entrusting Brighton with the mission is better choiceL

Perhaps I am more optimistic come Sunday.

We really need to win this so we can get revenge on Sheffield United for beating us at Old Trafford a few seasons ago.

Not overly optimistic but we do tend to bounce back from defeats well this season.
That was my thought too. Unfortunately the consensus here is we were bad on Thursday so we'll play like that for the rest of the season.

Wish we could drop Dave, as you can see how teams target his issues. No idea who plays alongside Lindelof, nor upfront. Squad depth is really punishing us at the moment....

Thank god Ferguson isn't playing, mind you Dunk will love our weak defence on set pieces and Mitoma running at them too

Probably not even worth trying only to get wasted by City.

With our first 11 fit I'd be confident of both the semi and final but we're so depleted and the second choice are a car crash.

As long as we don't decide to play through the press with DDG, we should do better. Really think we should try and play this on the counter. We just don't have the players to play possession football with this defense.

I think it`s more about connecting the dots. At home, OT, we are confident and almost always competetive. We can beat anyone there, including this super neat and tidy Brighton team. Away from home, we`ve looked like deer in headlights far to many times to be ignored. For whatever reason.
It is not technically away though this time so hopefully that is enough to break the spell..

This game has become more worrying after being battered by a bottom halve Spanish team, our confidence will be low. Saying that have we lost 2 games in a row under ETH? He usually gets a response straight away. Drop Maguire and drop DDG. Give butland a chance can’t do any worse. Play Shaw at CB and Malacia at FB.

Finals are one off and we have beaten them once this season. Cant fear top teams in the final if we want to win trophies
Brighton are a better team than Sevilla. We won't make it to the final.

Bruno back and Maguire gone. That alone makes me very confident.
Eriksen and Case really struggled without Bruno to pass to. I am certain our midfield will be firing on all cylinders against Brighton.
Maguire will also not be there to make the entire backline nervous so that should help as well.
I think we will win this and we will deliver a very good performance.

Don't know why I'm optimistic but I think we'll win.

It won't be pretty but rashford will be the difference, as he has all season for us

Having been a Brighton fan since 1983, you do not know how weird it is to read something like this from a fan of one of the biggest clubs.

I watched us almost fall out of the leagues and now we are described as one of the best possession teams in England. It won't last for ever, nothing does, but I'm enjoying this while it does.
