I'm plumping for a United win. Shame about the break because that destroys momentum and I think if the game was next week, the lads would be up for it after winning yesterday.

we've got a shout if Hazard gets injured on international duty

Lukaku and Fellaini....you know what to do

otherwise this will be a comfortable win for Chelsea

If this happens, I am sure Mourinho's post match interview will be as follows.

Reporter: "Jose, where do Manchester United go on from here?"

Jose: " We were defeated 4-0 2 years ago. We scored a goal today. We have improved."

Reporter: "Why is the defence so poor this season?"

Jose: " You have to ask Mr. Woodward."

Reporter: " Paul Pogba posted on Instagram yesterday..."

Jose: "Hey Mike, what did Paul post on Instagram yesterday?"

Reporter: "Sarri said that he would never play football like you.."

Jose(angry): "How many titles does he have? I have 3 premier league titles. Until someone wins 4, I am still number one."

Reporter: "Jose, you have the champions league match against Juventus next. How will you approach it?"

Jose: "They have more european heritage than United. We have to defend, defend, defend."

Reporter: "One Last question. There are rumours that you will be getting sacked. Is it true?"

Jose: " There is a massive manhunt for my head. This club will not get a better manager than me. If it rains in London, it's my fault. Brexit is my fault.

Reporter: " Pretty sure Brexit is not your fault. It's May's and Boris's...(Jose interrupts)

Jose: "I have to go prepare to get my ass whooped by Juventus. Have a good day".
    You must be bored.

We need to play the "oh shit, we're 2-0 down lulz" formation.

    3-2 win if we do.

Mourinho should have a go - our record is so bad there treat it like a free hit

    4-3-3 with Herrera/Fred on Hazard

    --------------------De Gea--------------------
    Dalot-----Bailly-----Smalling---Shaw
    ---------------Herrera---Matic-------------
    ----------------------Pogba-------------------
    Sanchez--------Lukaku--------Martial

A question for the Jose out fans. Particularly those who want him gone, over wanting United to win.

Does a win here go some way to changing your stance on Jose as United manager?
Not for me, the issues with Jose have zero to do with results and everything to do with the shitty football, lack of attacking coaching and most importantly his toxic personality that sees him constantly burying our own players while accepting zero responsibility for anything that does wrong, he's the completely wrong fit for Manchester United in every way.

Fair enough. Sounds like there no way back for him in your eyes.

Not confident. We rarely do well at the Bridge even at the best of times and we're not in good form and Chelsea are looking good. Think we'll lose this 3-1.

I have no confidence in our ability to get a win at the bridge. The final score may be close, but the result never in doubt.

I can see McTominay playing a part possibly man marking Hazard, we will most certainly go 3 in the middle, if not 4 with Fellaini thrown in.

Just hoping this won’t spawn a highlight reel with wrestling commentating dubbed in, such is the devastation.

    Can’t see us getting anything.

4-4-2 Just like a couple years ago with Herrara on the right wing to man mark Hazard (if he is healthy)

    ------------------------DDG-----------------------
    Dalot---------Smalling-----Jones----------Shaw
    Herrara--------Fred--------Pogba---------Martial
    -----------------Lukaku---Sanchez----------------

Will be interesting to see if these guys show up for a big performance. Obviously there is plenty to take from the win against Newcastle but there is still plenty to be skeptical about and you just don't know what kind of application you're going to get out of the usual suspects.

I'd like our average positions to be similar to this. We need Fellaini at top to bring other into play just like Giroud does for Chelsea.

    Who are these usual suspects?

Bailly or Lindelof with Smalling, Pogba, Martial/Sanchez on the left. Valencia or Young have been at various levels of up for it but ineffective and up for it and awful. Lukaku has been in horrendous form lately and definitely needs a rest. (Would prefer him to stay home and chill over the international break persoanlly) and has been all over the place. So has Matic.

A lot of the core pieces that are the systematic drivers of our team have been at various levels of unstable to start the season. Depending on who shows up and who shows application we could expect anything from being fennelled by West Ham and looking like school kids and actually giving a toss in the last 30-35 minutes of the Newcastle game.

But I see the "up for it" level as a lot higher for this Chelsea game considering that it is a "big game". It will be interesting to see how we go, we've got to be on our guard for sure. There is plenty at stake right from the get go.

So you just mentioned whole team. Maybe usual suspect is not the players after all.

Our last win at the Bridge, in 2012, our starting XI was De Gea, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Van Persie. Subs in: Giggs, Chicarito, with Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Welbeck and Lindegaard on the bench

Hate to sound pessimistic after the comeback but this fixture is almost always a write off for us. We recorded 1 league wins at the bridge in the last 10 years (and that one against 9 men no less), and totaled 3 wins at the Bridge this decade.

With the way us and Chelsea have been playing this season I don't expect anything different.

This is the game where the hammer will fall, every wnkar wanting Jose in will go flip flop. You need to be a good side to beat Chelsea in there EDL shed.
I'm Jose In, but I won't be flopping the other way, based on the result of this match.
CFC are our bogey team. Even in SAF's glory days, we struggled to win at Stamford Bridge, so I won't be judging Jose on this match, at all. He gets a free pass from me, for the CFC game.

We recorded 1 league wins at the bridge in the last 10 years (and that one against 9 men no less), ...
    Crikey.
So the only realistic chance we have (using past performances as a basis), is to go 2 men up.

Hazard vs our defence at the moment :nervous:

Jose will stick someone on him no doubt and they'll either do an amazing job or get booked in the first 15 minutes which will have the knock on effect of us getting thumped.

I have that feeling too. The key issue for us is that Hazard is absolutely on fire. Hoping he comes back knackered after the international break.

I've got no faith in winning this. Watch fecking Morata play a blinder and Kante score yet again while Hazard rips through our ambling defence. I mean we even made Bakayoko look good against us last season.

I'd take a draw right now. Play like Pool and City yesterday, keep it tight and hope we score on whatever breaks come our way.

Obviously you'll all have a cry if we do play pragmatically but if we go for it you'll just cry when our defence gets walked through anyway.

We're gonna lose. It's not just our form, we're cursed at the Bridge.

Kinda strange but the only thing I'm looking forward to in this game is seeing Jorginho play with all the hype he's getting.

Fred should man mark Hazard. He's very quick acceleration as well as being able to tackle.

Away match at the Bridge. Our mandatory s**t match every season. Hope the loss is not huge.
I can still hope for a draw though.
