McTominay will be a big miss for this game. Need his energy, ability to drive with the ball something both Matic and Fred lacks (for Fred, he lacks ability to drive with the ball).
Matic and Fred in CDM will kill us. Offers no springboard and is completely disconnected to everything ahead.

Absolutely hate this fixture and never feel confident we will get a result.

1-2 Bruno and Rashford goals. :D
    (I would 100% take a draw).

Not sure if this has already been asked in the thread, but have any teams played a counter attacking style against them yet?
Pretty much everyone we've played under Tuchel has parked the bus and hoped for counters.

I really hope I don't have to see it again today. It makes the games boring to win and losing even more annoying (than if we lost to a side playing football).

We had to put up with it in the reverse fixture, tough, we’re counter attacking you and you’re gonna like it.

Have you watched United play this season?

We'll absolutely be set up to counter. Not that I have a problem with that. We're clueless when we dominate the ball, we need that space in behind and between the lines to get anything going.

Has it been confirmed that McTominay and Cavani are out btw? Both massive blows if so.

You sound like Pep when he gets frustrated about teams digging in and being defensively resolute. Of course you probably prefer teams to let you walk the ball in

Feel like Mount will really hurt us today. Excellent player but just missing that big high profile performance that will make him the next England poster boy.

Just call it parking the bus. Embrace the shithousery!
Oh 100% I’m with you, I’m happy to bring back Jose, park the bus, nick a 0-0 draw and go home happy today. I hate going to the Bridge, a draw is more than okay.

There isn't enough shithousery in the Premier League. I'm all for more of this sort of thing

You seen Jose's record against us? I'd be very happy if you brought him back specifically for us!

I know, it’s exactly how Chelsea played at OT earlier in the season.
Nah, that was about 50/50 possession. Two teams equally scared to take the initiative.

Lampard got utterly destroyed on the break against you lot last season so I do understand why he played in a Man United style in that particular game.

So what you’re saying is that you approached the game conservatively?

It was 14 shots to 6 in United’s favour. Lampard came to spoil and got the 0-0 he wanted.

I watched you boys against Soton and there was no shit housing in sight. You hoarded possession but created next to nothing. Can’t blame the opposition for that.

Will be attack vs defense with us having < 35% possession. Hope we win.

Lindelof will struggle with Werner. I really hope It's Maguire and Bailly to start. However with Matic and Fred in the middle I don't see us dominating possession, therefore the game will be played mostly in front of our goal and Werner won't be able to utilise his pace.
    McTominay is a big miss.

    --------------------DDG---------------------
    AWB--Lindelof--Maguire--Shaw
    ------------Matic--------Fred------------
    James--------Bruno------Rashford
    ------------------Martial-------------------

Although, for me, Martial shouldn't start and Greenwood should definitely be given a chance. He's been bright whenever he's played in the past couple of months. We'll see. I'd snap your hand for 0-1.

I didn't say every team Tuchel played against parked the bus, just most of them. Having Burnley, Wolves, Spurs (under Jose) and Atletico in the space of a few weeks has hurt my brain.

Yeah, that is a punishing schedule tbf

I think you know what you’re gonna get against those teams though.

Interested to see how it plays out today.

Don’t think many give United a chance, but think the game will unfold in a way that suits our strengths.

Dan James will start and score the winner in a 1-0 win where Chelsea have 65% possession but barely a shot on target. That's my nightmare.

I think I'd rather get battered 3-0 by an incredible attacking performance. Maybe. Would be less frustrating at least!

Welcome to our entire season. At least you lot are actually set up to play with possession. We're a counter-attacking side, it actually works against us.

Yeah, it seems an obvious way to try and set up against you. Between our injuries and the new manager bounce you’re experiencing I’d edge it your way or hopefully a draw before seeing the lineups.

It’s the same before every game these days! Who’d have thought we were in second place in the league, still in the FA Cup and Europa League.

Massive game today- a win and we are pretty much guaranteed top four; lose and we’re back in with a scrap on out hands. Chelsea have improved but still have some major flaws that we can capitalise on!
I do see the point about the injuries to be fair, especially in midfield. It doesn't make me any less nervous though, because you still have difference makers in other areas. Bruno is the obvious threat but Rashford seems to really enjoy playing against us.

A draw isn't terrible for us in the grand scheme of things because it against United but we really do need the 3 points.

"To come from Portugal, from a competitive team, a big club but not from the strongest league and step in a year to one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and the strongest league in Europe and to have this kind of impact, I have nothing but the biggest respect for this guy. It is outstanding.
“He is one of the best midfielders in the world, attacking midfielders, and he has a huge, huge impact and to have this as a single person in football, you must be absolutely top level because this is almost impossible.”

    There's only one United!
Fat Frank battered you lot out the FA cup last season. Be thankful you're up against Slim Thomas.
Fat Frank lost many times against us and Ole and he's been sent out on pension by you lot because of his disastrous mismanagement of football matters.
