Sanchez to score a late winner here.
Sit down mate and lay off the sauce. It's like playing with 10 men when he starts.
He'll run aimlessly. Lose the ball 1000 times and then probably get subbed off around 60 mins.

The only thing apart from the weather that I enjoy about living in SA these past 6 years is that United are on TV every match. Although we did lose the carabao cup games. So sad.

this is another of those games where I have no idea how it will go. we could win at a trot or bugger around as we did against burnley. Probably if we score first, we'll go on to win. I'd love to see Sanchez finally come to life and dominate

Aye, I can't say I was sad to see that. We'll have to be wary of them countering us but we should be able to get at their backline, even without our best attackers.

It'll be live in India for sure. That's the thing I miss most about India, being able to watch all matches on a HDTV without having to look for crappy streams or worrying whether a particular subreddit will get banned.

So vital we get the three points.

Really hope Ole starts Chong, this is his time. We’ve gotta go for it.

Is Chong actually that good? Genuine question. We're all excited to see him from the high rating he's getting on this form but anything I see him in youth highlights, he just looks like a kick and run merchant. Very raw for first team football.

Feels weird, but I'm really excited for this.

Super interested in how/who we play and can see this being an exciting and open game. Not overly confident of 3 points, but excited nonetheless.

In Asia, you get to watch every single game on HDTV. Incredible coverage. Even poor games like Huddersfield vs Cardiff or something is on tele.

Ahh...missing the times in Kuala Lumpur.

In Sweden (and Norway I assume) they show Chelsea - Tottenham live, it makes me mad.
It sucks. Paying 450 SEK per month, 45 euro, and not being able to watch all the matches live.

He looked nowhere near ready against Reading. This isn't a game for Chong or Gomes to start in.

Same team that played against Liverpool with Dalot/Young at RW/RB and Lukaku moving centrally to replace Rashford.

Same here. This seems a great opportunity to improve the form of Sanchez and Lukaku.

I was really concerned how we were going to get some rest time for the midfield 3 and now the enforced starting of 2 or 3 of the back-up CMs. Someone will take the opportunity given to them and will make the rest of the run-in even stronger.

Hopefully some game time for the youngsters as well.

All round and intriguing week or 2 of fixtures.

Agree on Chong, but not so sure on Gomes. He's physically not really ready but this is a team that plays Mata fairly regularly. The way I see it if he doesn't get a start today, with our entire first-choice attack and most of our first choice midfield out of action, he never will. I'd like to see:

    DDG
    Dalot Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    McTominay
    Fred ----- Pogba
    Gomes
    Lukaku Sanchez

I’m probably no more aware of him than you, and yes he’s only 19 and of course he will be raw, but from what I’ve seen he seems a Giggs type player.

We all have to start somewhere and who knows he may even be the answer to the right wing?

Can't see Fred starting either as he hasn't played for months. The diamond would also expose our fullbacks and Palace are strong on the wings with Zaha and Townsend.

I think the team will be-

    de Gea
    Dalot - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Pereira - McTominay - Pogba
    Young - Lukaku - Sanchez
Maybe even Dalot at right wing with Young at right back.

Scratching my head with this team selection, some are no brainers but I do wonder if Young might play in midfield with Dalot at RB, I did think Fred might start, but OGS doesn't seem keen to play him at all. Can't see him taking a risk on Rashford, think it would be better just to let him recover and miss this game, if he aggravates the injury further it could mean a longer lay-off.
Even allowing for all the current injuries it shows that beyond the first choice players, there isn't a great deal of depth in terms of quality. In saying that, I think OGS has shown so far he has what it takes to pick and organise teams very well.

I've only seen highlights and the Reading game but he reminds me more of Nani. Looks good but for the first time in my life, I'm going to say he needs to bulk up. Seems to go down quite easily and against PL opposition will get knocked off the ball. Needs to improve decision making too, though hopefully both will come with age and experience.

Yes he’s a bit a light at the moment, but so was Rashford and if my memory serves me right Giggs was no heavyweight at the same age.

To me he seems very quick, can run and dribble. Yes, he could be thrown in the deep end away to Palace and as such a risk, but I reckon he’s worth a chance.

Can’t quite put my finger on it but there’s something about him.

He's never going to be physically 'ready' like Mata and other light players. He is what he is and I think you're right when you say he could be ready. I'd have him on the bench personally.

He'll never be an athlete, agreed, although I think we can expect him to be both stronger and faster than Mata once he's into his 20s. Actually he's probably already faster.

I don't know if it's worth bringing him off the bench. He's such a refined sort of player, he needs to be part of setting the tone of the game right from the start. Bringing him on for 20 minutes at the end when we're either a) winning, such that the senior players are now closing the game down and saving their legs or b) losing, such that the senior players are desperate and playing without discipline and structure is just going to be a waste of time.

Don’t dream too much, we will not see Chong or Gomes starting the game. They ll probably on the bench, but we still have few senior players available there.

Ole praised Mc Tominay and Pereira and told that both Lukaku and Sanchez needed to step up, so we will probably have a 4-3-3 (need to protect the wings)

He can also prepare a surprise and play Young higher up on the pitch and combine him and Dalot which seems quite balanced.

    De Gea

    Dalot
    Smalling
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    Mc Tominay
    Pereira
    Pogba

    Sanchez

Struggling to really think of a team due to the number of injuries. Really are down to our bare bones, hence why I ain’t feeling confident about this game. Hopefully I am proven wrong!

    De Gea

    Dalot
    Smalling
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    A.Pereira
    McTominay
    Fred

    Pogba

    Sanchez
    Lukaku

    subs:
    Romero
    Young
    Jones
    Bailly
    Garner
    Gomes
    Chong

    Prediction:
    Crystal Palace 1-1 Manchester United

    Goalscorers:
Zaha for them, Sanchez for us.

People who say start Chong have barely watched him play. I have watched him a few times and he isn't really ready. Maybe a few minutes here and there and Ole's reluctance to play him backs that up.

He can run yes but while that may work in the juniors, the men's game is a lot more nuanced in approach.

Chong looked massively out of his depth even against Reading in the FA Cup

Gomes has looked the part in his first team appearances but I dont even expect him to play either. Expect either Rashford or Fred will play

Injuries are killing us for this game, and it will be tough. We'll have to battle, as we did against Liverpool, and get the job done by hook or by crook. We still have some top quality players for tonight, and it's a big three points in relation to the top four. We'll just have to wait and see how this one pans out.

I'm nervous as hell for this game now. It would be such a kick in the balls to go from ''Top 4 is a dream but at least we'll enjoy it with Ole'' to ''We're in the top 4 and favorites to finish there'' but have all that great work undone by a freak injury crisis in the space of 2 fecking games!

I'd take a draw tonight. We've so many injuries and obviously we can't win every game. A point keeps us within 3 of Chelsea and arsenal regardless of what they do and we have them both to play.

Lingard, Herrera, Mata and Darmian were photographed arriving at United's AON Training Complex on Wednesday morning, while Martial was seen entering via a different entrance.
They all trained? Would seem their injuries are not as bad as previously thought. Hopefully they'll be back after the PSG game.

    No word of Matic?
