    I would mix things up:

    De Gea
Wan Bissaka - Maguire - Martinez - Malacia
    Casemiro - Fred - Bruno
Antony - Martial (if fit) - Garnacho

Pellistri coming on the second half if we're winning.
Give Weghorst some minutes in the second half as well. Put Rashford, Eriksen, Varane on the bench if we're losing.

On the plus side Palace are playing this afternoon so United will have an extra days rest compared to Vieira's men.

I doubt Varane plays 3 games in a week.
Casemiro has to be rested as we can’t afford for him to miss Arsenal with a suspension
    Weghorst comes in for Martial
    Garnacho in for Rashford

Eriksens minutes are being managed well so no problem with him starting and Bruno missed the last midweek

    De Gea

    AWB
    Maguire
    Martinez
    Shaw

    McTominay
    Eriksen

    Bruno

    Antony
    Weghort
    Garnacho

    Subs:
Butland, Lindelof, Varane, Malacia, Casemiro, Fred, Elanga, Rashford, Martial (if fit if not Pellistri)

This will be a lot more difficult than some people seem to imagine bu there's no point beating City if we then lose so I don't think we an change the team much. Maybe bring Martinez back to give Shaw a rest for Sunday and definitely give Garnacho a start - he's 18 so can certainly play on Wednesday and again on Sunday. Part of me wants to give Weghorst a start but maybe save him to give Arsenal something different to think about. I guess it depends on how injured Anthony Sicknote is

I think ETH has to rotate with so many games in so short time.

    ................De Gea..........

    AWB...Maguire.Martinez...Shaw

    ........McT.............Fred...............
    ................Bruno.....................
    Antony............................Garnacho
    .................Weghort...................

We need Eriksen for Palace away, while Fred will be needed vs Arsenal away. Otherwise we may struggle physically with Partey and Xhaka.

I do prefer the league games.
Those mickey mouse cup games are a PITA.
    I expect 3 points, here.
    Do you? Good for you!

I expect my wife to move in two extra women to our bedroom but she never does.

This will be a tough one for many reasons, we will be shattered after that effort yesterday. Rashford will either be rested or likely injured. Wout will have to hit the ground running and we will have to rest players for Arsenal which means a backline with Maguire in it.

Not looking forward to this potential banana skin.

Sod’s law will dictate that we drop points here after such a huge win on the weekend, and with another huge game next weekend.

Hopefully the Wegmeister can get involved with this one. It’s a game suited to his attributes.

Spurs lost and Newcastle already have played 1 game more than us so this game is a chance to get some point advantage.

Could be Martinez-Maguire or Martinez-Lindelof CB partnership for this one, to rest Varane for Arsenal. Other than that it should be similar starting 11 to the game against City. Weghorst could start too.

Strongest here. need 3 points in the bag.. can worry about Arsenal after that.. no risks please. Palace have some players that can trouble us.. absolutely no complacency.

Casemiro and Fred are 1 yellow from a 1 match suspension, their 4 yellows drop after this. They either miss this game or you risk the chance of them being suspended for Arsenal.

Still think a slight rotated side should be enough to see them off. Palace have been woeful since the WC break ended, 0-4 to Spurs, 0-3 to Fulham, 0-1 to an injury ravaged dire Chelsea, 1-2 to Southampton

Strongest available team for me. The same number of points are on offer as will be at the Emirates.

We absolutely do not rest Rashford, Varane and Casemiro.

Rest them for 2 weeks after the Arsenal game when we play Cup games but definitely not now. Unbelievable to see the McFred suggestions.

Is it just Casemiro & Fred that are at risk from missing the Arsenal game if they are booked in this game? We are gonna need both of them available for that game.

I wouldn’t be too fussed if ETH started with the midfield we had at the start of the season which we beat Liverpool & Arsenal with:

    McTominay - Eriksen
    B.Fernandes

    This will be tough.
I watched the Palace v Spurs game last week, and Palace pretty much dominated the first half, but didn't take the couple of chances that came their way, but second half Spurs took their chances, helped by some woeful defending at times, but overall Spurs just about deserved it, but 4-0 was not a good reflection in my eyes.

Palace is big and athletic...they are very solid defensively in that 4231 and aren't worried about sitting in deep

this is going to be a really difficult game and we will need to break them down b/c i don't see us being able to pull them out and open up space in behind to run

Wout actually could be a huge addition just for a match like this

Normally i'd say we'll drop points after a big win, but i think this squad is forming a winning habit.
    2-1 United

    De Gea
    AWB - Varane - Martinez - Shaw
    Casemiro
    Bruno - Eriksen
    Antony Weghorst Rashford.

I'm hoping Erisksen comes alive, he's been a bit of a passenger recently.

I’m never a fan of the ‘rest all our best players’ brigade that dominates in every match thread but I do think Casemiro needs to be protected here. We can’t at any cost afford him to get booked and miss Emirates.

He’s always playing on the edge and flirting with yellow cards.

I’d go McT - Eriksen for old times’ sake. They were decent for a while until the City game happened. This protects Fred too who is also a card away from the ban.

    de Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Bruno
    Antony Weghorst Rashford

First 15 minutes is absolutely key in these annoying grounds. Can’t give the crowd any encouragement. We are always guilty of doing so.

I'd be happy to see Casemiro and maybe Varane rested....but if Rashford is fit enough he has to play. You don't rest red hot attackers.

Casemiro because he does like a foul and as we haven't bypassed game 19 it's a risk. Varane because keep the man wrapped up when he isn't needed. They average less than a goal a game, Maguire should be able to step in.

I think the concern is Fred and Casemiro are at risk of being booked and missing the Arsenal game. On the balance of things we need them more for that game than this one.

Over the past few years, we'd get a shit result here after the huge win yesterday. Let's see if ETH can shift the players' focus and keep us winning

How the feck has Fred got so many yellows, feels like he has hardly played this season

No. He's Varane's double. He never plays where Shaw, Martinez and Lindelof play for Ten Hag.
Lindelof has definitely played on the right side before, but yes ETH has actively avoided using Maguire on the left so he replaces Varane more often. I just don't see him as "needing to step up" when he won't play most important games we have, while the other two players you mentioned are in our first choice starting XI

The FA have screwed us moving this game in-between the City and Arsenal game, and at short notice. Especially with Arsenal now having a week's rest. I think we've got to rotate a couple key players unfortunately and hope for the best. Just so annoying.

    De Gea
    Dalot--Varane--Martinez--Shaw
    McTominay--Eriksen
    Antony--Bruno--Garnacho
    Weghorst

Subs: Heaton; AWB, Lindelof, Maguire, Malacia; Casemiro, Fred; Rashford, Martial

I don't think Martial will be fit to start this. If he's not fit for the bench then replace his spot with Pellistri or Elanga. I know it seems crazy to rest two of our best players but can't risk them getting injured or suspended (in Casemiro's case). Plus Rashford looked like he was hobbling for much of the second half vs City so wouldn't be too surprised if he's out of this match altogether.

Or maybe Fred for Eriksen due to Palace's combative midfield.

My worry about this game is Vieira wanting to do his old team a favour which could see happening

It says that if Casemiro will get a yellow card he won't play against Arsenal/Palace, can someone confirm this ?

Casemiro situation really worries me we need him so badly for the Emirates but I also don't trust this team away from home without him.

Andersen was injured today at Chelsea and I doubt he'll be fit by Wednesday. Boost for us as he's a very good player and Tomkins is completely washed.

I have a sneaky suspicion Sancho will make the bench for this one. Important game to keep the momentum before Arsenal next weekend.

    AWB - Maguire - Licha - Shaw
    Mctominay
    Eriksen - Bruno
    Anthony - Rashford - Garnacho
