Its like watching a game of two midtable clubs. No accuracy in decision-making, passing, just hoping for the better. Unbelievable when it comes to us. We look knackered and have not gelled as a team at all.

Apparently he is a world class dribbler?
He could try and control a ball first time?
Even Stevie Wonder could tell you he's better running at people than playing with his back to them. Pointless having him as a striker in a front 3.

Perhaps my view is a bit more holistic, even beyond this actual game - but I just think we are set up like an actual modern top football team for the first time in forever. The plan is to use passing and good collective movement - very little hoofing and crossing, and Pogba looks to fit in better for me.

Basically, I can see how a potential evolution into a top team can happen, perhaps w
We don't create anything and the game plan is completely lacking? I don't see any positives in that at all. And I'm a guy who thinks Jose is the right man. He has to sort this out pronto though or he will be gone in Summer trust me.

What you talking about? This is laughable he’s playing like he’s scared of the ball. One good pass big feckin deal what’s he done this season or this 45 minutes. My opinion is formed over his time here not one good or bad pass and so far he’s been underwhelming.
feck me are you even watching it? Hes had the ball more than anyone. Your opinion is formed regardless of what actually happens on the pitch mate. In the season where he was our best player you camped in the Herrera thread to tell us all how shit is is.

Herrera and Mata have become such horrible footballers. Herrera can't complete two straight passes, and still haven't got through that thick head of his that his shooting is bloody awful. Mata can't dribble, cross or finish to save the life of him and constantly ruins our attacks and counters with his lack of vision and backwards passing.
Herrera's form seems to have dropped off a cliff this season. Added to us buying Matic, who has strengths Herrera doesn't. He's one of those midfielders who isn't particularly good at one thing.

Mata is really tidy at helping us keep the ball, but as he'll naturally move inside, along with our general tactics, we have literally zero threat from wide.

Both need to be either shipped out, or held as mere squad players if we're going to challenge in my view.

This crap is less crappier than the other craps in recent weeks. So, I think we are going to win this one.

I could never have thought at the start of the season that not having a proper right winger would lead us to look this disbalanced.

Fecking Mata and Lindelof on the wing is criminal :houllier:

Are some of you stuck on moan mode or something?

    That was not dreadful
You are watching the game aren't you?

Have you seen the decisions in the final 3rd?

Have you seen Jones try to rifle a 40 yarder?

Have you seen the control shown around their area?

Have you seen the lack of bodies in the 6 yard box when a cross gets drilled in?

Have you seen the ongoing lack of composure/ability to make a simple pass when we need it most?

Have you seen the very suspect defending which lead to Rojo making a heroic block. As Maldini said, by the time you need to tackle a player, you e already made a mistake.

We have created chances, but the closest have been Pogbas shot and Martials cross that no one got on the end of. These guys need a kick up the ass, this is not dreadful, but it's pretty awful.

Nah, it's just simply our players being brainless/selfish.
That’s been my opinion since day one. Our players aren’t just good enough. No manager tells his players to sit deep and defend for 90 mins.

All the Everton players would have to completely vacate the pitch before we can have a genuine chance to score and I am sure Lingard & Martial might still conspire to screw things up.

@sammsky1 Match cancelled, finally I am here :nervous:
Wasn’t so bad. Team was quite enterprising, albeit missing the final pass.

Mourinho has set them up to attack, not much else he can do, given injuries and form.

Pogba and Mata both need to contribute a lot more

Lads, I have stew and soup in the freezer. Which should I go for?
Throw them out and make something fresh, and you'll be ready in time for the post match thread when we eventually draw this game.

I think we'll get a chance to score but it'll probably only be one chance. Hopefully we take it.
If we can sneak a 1-0 with the form we're in, and with the players we have out, it'll be superb.
And then a good 2 week break before the next league game to get some players back.

When he plays poorly in the wing, it's because Jose is an idiot and the guy isn't a winger at all.

Reminds me of the dark days of the Rooney 9/10 argument whereby his best position was whatever he wasn't playing at the time.

Flashbacks of Rashford making a backpass being 3 v 1 against Leicester :D

If we hold it like this, we can nick it with fresh Rashford and Mkhitaryan.

Yeah. It is amazing when you set expectations low, things can be alright

My opinion is formed over his time here. Even when you were spunking over him last year for me Pogba was better. Herrera is an average player I said it last season and hopefully you’ll come to realise this in time.

He has been running at the Everton back line also with zero impact so far.

Someone said recently....some of us will only appreciate what Valencia offers us when he's not there...
I don't mind admitting I'm one of them.
    Me too....
I will never criticise Valencia again even if he deliberately scores a hat trick of own goals in the final of champions league.

I am overfed now with the humble pie.
