Seems Mourinho might be tempted to play the same team that managed to get 37 shots against Burnley. The only problem is returning Thursday night and then playing the same guys on Sunday. Most of them might recover well, but some others won't.

    I'm going for this:

Height and strength in the middle of the park.

    ---------------de Gea
    --Darmian--Blind--Rojo--Shaw
    ------------Schneiderlin
    --------Fellaini-------Pogba
    --Lingard------------------Rashford
    ---------------Rooney

    Subs:
    TMT/Jones
    Mkhitaryan
    Martial

    But I would prefer this:

    ---------------de Gea
    --Darmian--Blind--Rojo--Shaw
    ------------Schneiderlin
    --------Fellaini-------Pogba
    --Lingard------------------Martial
    -------------Rashford

I'm surprised that Ibra and Pogba have travelled.

    De Gea
    Darmian--Mensah--Rojo--Shaw
    Herrera--Fellaini--Schneiderlin
    Mkhitaryan--Rooney--Martial

    or

    De Gea
    Darmian--Mensah--Rojo--Shaw
    Fellaini--Herrera
    Lingard--Mkhitaryan--Martial
    Rooney

Mkhitaryan won't start but I'm hoping he does. I'll be happy just to see him on the bench.

There is no way , Pogba and Zlatan dont play a part of this game, Pogba to start , Zlatan maybe a sub

    De Gea
    Darmian-TFM-Rojo-Shaw
    Herrera-Schneiderlin
    Rooney
    Mkhitaryan-Rashford-Martial

    Ibra, Pogba, Blind needs rest.

I think Rooney will play up top like last game although I would prefer Rashford but I can see him possibly being on bench with Zlatan.
I'm really hoping Martial and Mkhitaryan start and keep the same midfield 3 which is by far our best.
We win this we can then use more of the squad in remaining two games. I think we should go for it tonight as our recent away form in Europe is shite and a good win here would be very morale boosting for the rest of the competition.

    -------Rooney
    Martial Mata Mkhitaryan
    -----Pogba Herrera
    Shaw Rojo Blind Darmian
    --------De Gea

Herrera will play otherwise he might as well have left him at home as he is suspended for Sunday.

Will Mourinho field an extra midfield man (Schneiderlin) and sacrifice Rooney (I'm not seeing him playing as lone forward or right-winger in this game)?

3am kick off. Bastard. I'm soooo busy this weekend that I just can't manage to watch it.
Last time I didn't watch, we won.

I can't even be bothered to submit a line-up for this. Most of our defense is injured and I'm so confused what's going on up front; who actually knows how to kick a ball at the net, who Jose dislikes and who's been shagging too many hookers to have any idea of who's going to be in the team. Doesn't even matter, because we've already proved that this won't build momentum even if we score 4 goals, especially if it's half of a B team on the pitch.

    Defence is the easiest part.

I think we might see this

    ---------------de Gea-------------
    --Darmian--Blind--Rojo--Shaw
    ------------Jones---------------
    --------Fellaini-------Pogba
    --Lingard------------------Young
    -------------Rooney------------

Schneiderlin to come on as a sub for 2nd half to replace Jones

I think there is no point in resting Zlatan really. Especially with international break coming. Herrera will also start imo as he is suspended for the weekend. I can see Martial starting as well because we really want to win this match and we can use his skills. Jones and Young can come at the end to see things out.

Herrera/Pogba will start. Herrera is resting Sunday anyway. No reason he won't play.

    ---------------de Gea-------------
    --Darmian--Blind--Rojo--Shaw
    --------Herrera-------Pogba
    Lingard-----Mata------Martial
    -------------Zlatan--------------

    Subgs: Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Rashford

    --Darmian--Jones--Blind--Shaw
    -------Herrera----Pogba--------
    Lingard-----Mata------Young
    -------------Rooney--------------

Jones to come in for Rojo -- maybe this is a bit speculative, but I don't think Jose would bring Jones if he didn't think he could play. Perhaps he uses him as a sub instead to gauge how fit he is, though. In which case Blind at RCB with Rojo at LCB. Herrera is a certainty with his suspension on Sunday. Pogba will more than likely start, and I don't think there's a need to rest Mata yet. The rotation will mostly come up top -- Young, Lingard and Rooney are solid options, but then again, against Swansea I'm thinking we might play Lingard and Martial up front, which means Rashford could start tonight. Zlatan will be on the bench, I think.

Mkhitaryan to see game time as a sub? It's long overdue.

    Somewhere they can't find me.
Win this and Zorya become just a formality. Expecting JM to play a strong XI, maybe benching Zlatan for Rooney.

Expect Ander will play today as he will be banned for Sunday.

From the always reliable bib watch at training this afternoon, it would appear to be:

    Rashford
    Lingard Mata Mkhitaryan
    Pogba Herrera
    Shaw Blind ??? ???
    De Gea

At least with Mkhi on the bench he can impact the game. Not sure how Rooney starts this one. But I guess he should be raring to go?

I quite like that though. Proper pace on both flanks, Pogba unleashed from any defensive duties so he can just attack!

Kick off at 6 and I finish at 6. Lucky I work for BT, so will be watching first half in the office.

Have the feeling this will be a tough 2-1 to us
