How is Sanchez in the team on the basis of today's showing? Considering Martial is back and rested, he should start the game.
I don't think Martial has been much better than Sanchez since Ole came in.

Really need to rest a lot of best players. We'll need martial Rashford, herrera and pogba to be 100% fit for PSG. Not expecting much but at least have a go at them. This is the first real test. Very little unreliable players in that team.

I meant we can't afford to drop points.
 It did seem a little strange.

This is going to be a very tricky period. The big games come thick and fast but we also need maximum points from these kind of league games. Given most of the players outside of our best starting XI seem to be lacking in basic areas; match fitness, confidence, even hunger in certain cases, Ole has a hell of a job keeping our better lads fresh while doing enough to win each game.

Fulham are picking up a bit of form, if we win this and City beat Chelsea, we go 4th by 1 point. Psychologically - it's a big thing, a boost before the PSG game.

I'd start with a near full strength team and then make some subs at half time (if we have the lead).

    First half;

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    Herrera Fred
    Sanchez Pogba Martial
    Rashford
    Second half:

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    Matic Fred
    Sanchez Mata Martial
    Lukaku

I'd rest Rashford Pogba and Matic in this. Keep them fresh for a tough 3 fixtures on the bounce after.

Ideally I would want to rest some players. But our team B just doesn't click and makes a meal of even the simplest games.

This is a problem for sure and it annoys the hell out of me.

Unbeaten in a 11 ties against Fulham. Winning 9, drawing 2. One of which was the infamous 2-2 Moyes-ball match featuring a thousand cross'.
Last League defeat was in 2009.Lost that game 3-0.Murphy,Zamora and Duff were on the scoresheet that day.
You at it again!? Tempting fate are we?

    Dalot Bailly Smalling Shaw
    Herrera Fred
    Mata
    Lukaku Sanchez Martial.

    Subs:Romero;Young;Pogba;Matic;Rashford;Lingard;McTominnay.

Sub Herrera as early as possible if we are two goals up.On a good day this team should be enough to see off Fulham;but the guys outside of the first team have not done enough to inspire confidence.

I'd like to rest players but we just can't afford to lose momentum. Sure, a weaker team should still be able to get a result, but that's not really how the PL works is it.

I'd rest Matic or Pogba tbh. Fulham are crap and we shouldn't need them to win. Also they looked dead on their feet against Leicester.

Scholes sent off, if memory serves?

No one got sent off in the 3-0 in 09/10. Scholes was sent off for a Suarez handball and Rooney for throwing the ball in the 2-0 the season before.
Aaah, my bad. When it said 2009 I thought it was referring to the spring of.

I hope Ole takes a strong team against Fulham, rotation in one or two places and otherwise only rests them in the first 11 who have problems with injuries.

To rotate half the team or more, I think is a great risk, we do not have that quality in the player squad. In any case, they have not shown it so far.

Any chance in any way, shape or form to get tickets for this?

    Cash pretty irrelevant.

Yes, rest a couple of players. But a couple, max. Obviously PSG is a big game but we can't take our eye off the ball in the league either and as promising as our run of games has been under Ole our squad has looked weak under him too. Any more than a couple of changes and you're asking for a defeat, Fulham or not.

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Jones Shaw
    Herrera McTominay
    Mata Pogba Martial
    Lukaku
And tell Lukaku to pull his fecking finger out this time or he'll be on the bench for the rest of his contract.

If we can get comfortable by half time or the hour mark (big ask in any PL away match), then you can make some serious subs. I'd like to see Gomes and Greenwood on the bench and one of them come on for a whole half hour at least for Mata.

Ole's normal XI please with Martial back in. Whatever happens against PSG happens but make no mistake this is the more important game
Why is Fulham more important than PSG? Because of a "top 4" race? Top 4 is to qualify for Champions League. So doesn't that make the Champions League more important?

Rotate the squad. Fulham is on a whole new level of shite. If our subs can't beat them then we have more work to do in the summer than I thought. Have everyone fresh for PSG...

Dream scenario having this lineup and go 3-0 up, with Shaw and Herrera subbed off early. That way none of our regulars are tired. However, the midfield looks worrisome.

Okay, seeing a lot of talk of resting and rotating. The players will have had 6 days between Leicester and Fulham and 6 days between PSG and Chelsea. It’s quite clear what the preferred starting XI is so I think we’ll see no real rotation this weekend and the same side will face PSG too!

I think there’s a decision to be made between Smalling / Bailly / Jones, maybe Fred will replace Pogba during the latter stages and Martial / Sanchez will be given 60 / 30 but that’s it I’d imagine!
