The quote below pretty much elaborates on my position. Plus, Huddersfield are a team of thugs. I mainly do not want to see our players picking up injuries against a side that can only foul as a means of "staying in the game". And I'm sure we'll get another inept referee allowing a shit side to not play football.

Frankly, I don't care about the FA Cup. I do care about momentum though, I would agree that being humiliated (which I cannot see happening) would be pretty terrible preparation for Sevilla.
If we lose to Huddersfield again, it will be turned into a humiliation.

If we cannot play our squad players against a team like Huddersfield, then they are purely here to make brief sub appearances. Granted, there are players who need match fitness, but there are no games less important from here on out. It's not like I'm advocating fielding a team of 11 youngsters. I'm only hoping we are resting 4-5 crucial players for the CL.

Dropping Pogba would be ridiculous. Is he not allowed to have a slump in form? He's our best player ffs. People have shockingly short memories.

Can see us going there with the 3-5-2. Seemed pretty successful in away matches and they're definitely going route 1.

Counter them with Martial/Sanchez/Lukaku or Lingard/Sanchez/Lukaku, we should win comfortably.

    Romero
    Darmian Lindelof Rojo Shaw
    Carrick McTominay
    Mata Sanchez Martial
    Rashford

Subs: Pereira, Smalling, Jones, Young, Pogba, Lingard, Lukaku

Maybe a young player on the bench in place of Jones, but I can't think who.

All that I'm asking for in this game is to see Sanchez play on the right, just to see if it works. I know that he's probably better on the left hand side, cutting in and shooting, however I just want to see how effective he is on the right hand side. Maybe give him a free role, the same type of role Mata plays occasionally when he is put on the right hand side.

I wouldn't risk any key players before the Sevilla tie. Pogba and Alexis in particular.

Huddersfield are so bad that they'll only be able to win if we gift them goals and they manage to stay solid without mistakes for 90 minutes and we'll finish poorly. They've done it once this season, they won't do it again.

Lightning does not strike twice. We will win this, it is a bye into the next round for us.

2-0 with Martial and Sanchez scoring.

This game is more important. At least with Sevilla we have a 2nd leg if we don't win but the FA Cup is our best chance of winning something this season. Our best players should play and if we're leading bring them off at 60/65 mins.

They are the third best pressing side in the opponents half, after City and Liverpool, in terms of number of times winning the possession back. And we struggle against good pressing teams.

If our players underestimates them again, like you have, we will lose again.

Not too sure about the score and scorers, but have to agree....I simply refuse to believe that a bunch of cloggers like we saw at OT a couple of weeks ago can beat us two out of three in the same season.

    There....I've said it.

    Not sure what line up we'll go with. Think it's a certainty we'll get minutes for Carrick, McTominay and Bailly. I'm going for;

    Romero

    Shaw
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Valencia

    Pogba
    McTominay
    Carrick

    Martial
    Lukaku
    Sanchez

We'll be taking this competition seriously but Matic really needs a rest, he's been a mainstay this season but he's only human. We should beat them pretty comfortably, players will be playing with a point to prove and after what we saw last time we played them (despite it being at OT) they really don't have a lot of footballing ability.

I confess I only care about the Premier League and the Champions League. Winning the FA Cup is not worth missing out of 4th or going of CL a round early.

I too rate the PL and CL higher but we aren't winning the PL this season and our chances of winning the CL are slim at best. The FA Cup even though it isn't the be all and end all reprents our best chance of silverware. We aren't in a position where we can pick and choose what competitions we go for so I'd go with the big guns tommorow ie alexis and Pogba and focus on the job at hand.

No way, that would be suicide against a very pumped up route 1 Huddersfield. I also wouldn’t allow Carrick and Mctominay start a jigsaw together, let alone a tricky FA away fixture.

DDG must start, along with Pogba and Matic.

    Rashford is also injured.

3rd best pressing side in what way? They have the 19th best offence in the league and the 19th best defense in the league. The fact that they're not in the bottom three (which they will end up in) is quite the feat. They are however not good. They weren't even good when they beat us but when you pretty much start with a 2-0 handicap you can beat any team by being defensive and wasting time enough.

Would you also happen to know the exact score, so I can place a bet?

Yes, I agree with this because we have more than normal amount of replacement players available, if anyone gets crocked. Mourino needs to be playing with a core team now as much as possible.

It would be good to get Bailly and Rojo playing together again, they are our best defence in big matches and allow MU to play a lot further forward than with other defenders. At least give Bailly 45 minutes to get him into playing again flat out.
