I'd expect quite the welcoming party from the Leeds fans.

I hope Leeds leaves t-shirts in the wardrobe again.

I hope one of our players wears it. Completely unreasonable to expect that of course, but that's my hope.

Some right fecking whoppers on here at the moment saying they don't care if we get beaten.

The players and manager have been great this season and you should be still supporting them. It's the owners who are the problem, and have been for some time.
supporting them trying to achieve what exactly? all the remaining games are no more than glorified friendlies.

i have to say, it was also this attitude, disassociating what happens on the pitch with what happens on the boardroom, that allowed the glazers to get their feet under the table originally.

The Caf is full of self righteous comments at the moment. Really boils my piss.

Suddenly I´m looking forward to this match again, and it will be interesting to see how Ole and the players respond, on and off the pitch.

I'm actually happy we get a few days before playing. Liverpool and Chelsea dropping points amidst the brouhaha. We should beat Leeds again. Comfortably again. So long as they play their 'admirable' football.

I hope that the United and Leeds players make some kind of gesture at the end of the match and beginning.

I'd really like them to send a message to the big wigs and show them that football is nothing without the fans, the players, the staff and coaches who they threw under the bus.

So United vs Leeds matters again  I still feel like United was definitely one of the ring leaders here, but maybe not quite to the extent that I thought before (given who is left). But still. Going to take a bit of time to clean the mud off our name due to the Glazers. It is what it is. Hope we smash Leeds.

Back to actual football! I'd love nothing more than smashing these on Sunday but I have a bad feeling the result will not go our way.

Park the bus and hit them on the counter otherwise play for a 0-0. More important matches ahead in a short space of time.

Bamford's had a strange career. Farmed out by Chelsea for many years and never really prolific enough in the lower-leagues, despite being highly-rated and having a touch of class about him.

Now he's on course to have a better season than he did in the champo last season. I can't think of many players who have had a similar impact following a decent-but-not-great season in the second tier.

    Pleased for him though.

They're in good form. A win against city and a draw against Liverpool.

As we saw in our first game they're certainly able to make chances, but defensively they're just a ropey. Think this could end up being another high scoring match.

And suddenly, this is relevant and interesting again.

It's good to be back. We're kind of lucky there will be no fans at the ground, the club would get infinite amount of well-deserved shit from Leeds fans

There will still be fans there. They were there for Liverpool arriving. They will use the super League as an excuse to act like animals even though our players were dead against it and I fully expect our bus to be attacked at the ground.

If I'm wrong about this I'll completely change my opinion on Leeds fans (the few I know and the times I've been to Leeds they've been great) but I think people underestimate to this day quite how much the old guard there hate our club.

Going by the Liverpool game, I hope we don't approach this in the wrong way. They're there to be attacked and I'm sure we can get a few goals but they've got less gung-ho in recent months. Don't think it'll be anywhere near as open as the last game.

Expecting it to be tight, maybe a 3-1 to us (with a late goal coming from Cavani or someone).

Been at a few home games v Leeds and have seen their travelling fans behave like animals. I would be surprised if they’ve changed really.

I can’t bring myself to get back to the norm. That’s what the Glazers want. They’ll skulk away for a year or so, maybe give us a decent player in the summer and expect us to forget and then in a few years they’ll try something else. They have proved (if we needed it) that they cannot be trusted. All our efforts should go to removing them, FSG, Kroenke etc from our clubs. We’re in a worse place today that we were a week ago when we just thought they were money grabbing - now we KNOW they are liars, snakes, have utter contempt for us and even their own players and management and will do anything, including selling our history up the river, to get what they want.

Games just don’t have the same meaning anymore.

I'd be tempted to try McT and Pogba in midfield. Even though earlier in the season I was saying they were a much less natural fit than Fred with either, because Fred is more comfortable sitting and shielding the back four. And I still think that's true. But playing Leeds isn't like playing a normal game. It's all about how well you can resist and bypass the press. Pogba is press-proof, and McT is much more so than Fred. Plus the reverse fixture was one of McT's best ever and it's tempting to see him try and repeat the trick.

Im trying so hard to motivate myself to be hyped for this game.

The last 2 days have been incredibly emotionally draining

Agreed - although clearly none of this was the players/coaching staff's fault and, amazingly, we could be going into next week 5 points behind City when it was 11(?) this time last week!

We are due a banana skin and I can see our heads dropping a bit after this weeks events. With Leeds ready to give us a kicking and seek payback

Oh yeah, we actually have a game of football to play at the weekend.

No idea on the performance. I don’t think the heads will drop, if anything I’d hope they’ll be fired up after the events of the past few days.

Will be a weird game after all the events this week. Hopefully when 1st whistle goes it is all forgotten.

I do think we can risk resting a few, top 4 is pretty much sealed and we can even afford a slip for 2nd. Of course dont want that but the next 3 games, Roma with Liverpool inbetween are crucial.

Would give Donny a start after his recent slight upturn in form - he should get space at Elland Road. Wrap up Rashford in cotton wool and bring out James vs Leeds again.
Also I think Fred looked shot against Burnley, so would go with Pogba and McT to start... Matic if double pivot needed.

Really need a game of football to get over all the crap of the last 72 hours!!!

Crazy week, but it's nice to not be prepping for a match tomorrow. For the first time since when? Rest is good. Proper time to work on new things is excellent. Really looking for something a little fresh this weekend. I'd love to put six more past Leeds, but I really don't want to give up any goals this time. Don't know that we need to rest anyone, either. Should be much fresher and we can rotate a couple/play halves against Roma.

Can happily say, I am once again looking forward to the game and hope the manager and players arn't to affected by recent events, if anything they should be raring to go with a point to prove, after all, there is and should be no blame on them. Protests against the owners though are very much welcome and in demand!

I reckon we blast them again, our style is perfect for a man marking team such as Leeds and we have been defensively sound for a while, minus set pieces. Going 3-0!
