What am I missing from that Lovren incident? Doesn't look like he made any real contact with his head which he immediately began clutching? At worst he hit his back but it was completely accidental, and jesus could Neville give Lukaku a break, shitting on him all game ffs.

If something doesn't change , Rash must come for Lukaku in order to have more speed in front and tear them apart with those long passes we are trying

Lukaku is not the problem. It's the overall team play. And particularly the midfield.

The way we played in that half you would think we were West Brom. We need to take it up a notch or two in the next half.

We just need a bit of fine tuning, and Martin Atkinson to stop ending 90% of our counters, to win this.

Herrera is getting bumped about like anything and Atkinson is giving him sweet FA.

PS) Gary Neville is talking utter horse mess. Lukaku's right boot hit Lovren, not his left. It was totally accidentally and happened when he turned.

Judging by the ridiculous comments here, it appears we need to take Lukaku off, take Mhikitaryan off, take Darmian off, take Herrera off and sack Mourinho.

I forgot how utterly inane the matchmaker thread is.

Good first half from us, I'd say. But why and how did De Gea make that fecking save??? Annoying.

Will be interesting to see what you do in the second half. You would think that Mourinho wants the 3 points if you are to keep up with City and based on the first half you are content with 1.

I'm a huge advocate of conservative "park the bus" football. I'll never understand its sense against a team so transparently worse. We are playing directly into the very limited skill set of the opposition and giving their under fire, horrific defence, their easiest game of the season

Why does it take Ashley Young a fecking lifetime to set u a shot or even a cross? He flaps his feet around like a fecking penguin having a seizure. Could've hit that Lukaku rebound first time.
   . I almost choked.

Herrera and mkhi are having a stinker. We can easily have better players than them. Lukaku should have finished, he has to stop shooting straight at the keeper. Try something different. Jose would be disappointed with the team.

Mata on for Miki no question. Baffled by those of you saying Martial has been bad though, doing the best with what little support he's had. Actually looks to take on players even when he's surrounded by 3 red shirts and no help.

Although this isn't the first time this season that Lukaku has missed a chance that as a world class striker you'd expect him to finish, I am reminded that Zlatan similarly missed big chances last season and was broadly considered to have had a good season as our frontman. Nobody puts them all away, and the link-up play from himself and others preceding the chance was good.

Not bad from us, United too focused on stopping us at the moment. There’s gaps to exploit in our back line.

How are you lot feeling so far?
We're a bit erratic, sometimes we look ok in coping with you, sometimes we look a bit manic... Herrera and Darmian need to calm down a bit. Need more from Henrik and Lukaku going forward.

Lukaku should have done better with his chance.

Neville looking for something that isn't there.

Very negative from us though. Really need to come out and play the second half.

Lukaku had to score there. Slip it near side and it's in.

Very disappointing. We've come in with the better team, better manager and better form, yet we show 'respect' to a Liverpool side that aren't even close the sides in the last few years.
At some point, we need to start playing the big games like a big team.

People are complaining about the way of our attack ? Feck me the main complaint should be on our defending. Absolute terrible defending from us today, too much space open on the wings and their players are cutting through us so easily. We should have been much much more compact than this. Mikhi and Herrera are losing possession very easily it's unreal.

We have no way past their high pressing in absence of Pogba and Fellaini.

If we lose or draw Mou will moan about injured players, Fellaini, Bailly, Pogba. Come on, we should win this regardless of those players.

Martial in Gomez's pocket, Herrera looks like a headless chicken, Mkhi pulling off a Cena. Hate International breaks.

We struggle with the tactics. Martial gets far too deep. A 3-5-2 would have been better. Also could use Mata if we stick with this. His creativity we could really use.

Martial has struggled a lot so would take him off. Maybe move Young to the left or get Rashford on.

Hopefully this is the last we hear how good Neville is on the caf. He can feck off.
    Clueless idiot
It's incredible how he's gone form a pretty good pundit when he started his career and after the Valencia shit stint to an absolute drama whore and shit stirer that he's now.

Jesus, it's Carra, but he's about 100 times a pundit Neville is.

It's the usual ridiculous kneejerk reactions. We played like this under Fergie away at Pool many a time and nicked a win.

I'm not unhappy, decent half. Braindead moment from Lukaku to give Liverpool a big chance, equally braindead from Salah resulting in our big chance. Could've been 1-0 either way.

In a sense good that we are quite ambitious trying to stand up high when we're in established attack and lose the ball, but risky as well. They've got a few half-chances from that.

Salah motm so far have to say

    I’ve been disappointed with performance

Lots of nerves out there. Passing has been really poor at times

Martial one of the only ones to come out with much credit

A 2 man pivot can never dominate against a mid 3 playing total football short tiki taka passing that's where a no 10 is most important to get in behind and provide penetration and mkh just don't seem to get the ball in right areas or try to penetrate today.

Mkh has got a ozil diease in him.

Why are we playing like we fear this Liverpool team? Come on, get a grip of the game and win this.
Lukaku should have buried that chance. I don’t know what else he needs to score easy chances. That’s the best chance on the game and he shot directly at Mignolet......

    One major chance each imo.

Not sure how people expect more from this game. Under SAF, we would often go to a shite Liverpool team with one of the top teams in Europe and get completely outplayed. It's their biggest game of the season.
If we can't even handle Liverpool we might as well forget handling PSG or other top CL teams. As a CL team, we should be outplaying Liverpool consistently if we want to even have a sniff at the CL. Man City would be outplaying Liverpool right here if they were playing now. And that's how far we are away, compared to our nearest rivals who would be torn apart by the likes of PSG.

Miki anonymous so far... needs to step it up.

Lukaku should have scored but not gonna have a go at him. He's way too isolated the way we're set up. Commit a few more forward and we'd be carving out the chances that he just had.

Not bothered too much on performance, just need a result here.
