You won't lose. That's for sure.

And I don't think City have what it takes to win. They'll be hurt after the Arsenal defeat but I don't think their record against the top sides is very good.

    Draw. 2-2

How has City's home form been this season? We've already beaten them once.

News update from the blue side: Both Aguero and Silva trained today in a light recovery session with the squad. Signs are good for the derby.

Meh this can go either way. City seem to rise to the occasion against us in the league with Aguero or Kompany probably scoring
    My thoughts as well.

City always make it difficult against us, and they'll be in the mood to bounce back from the Arsenal loss.

    Expecting a really tight game.

Agreed - he did make the correct decisions with regards to the pens. He seems to be a bad omen for us though.

Remember when he sent off Di Maria for a shirt tug, yet this was perfectly acceptable:

    / tinfoil hat.
I still can't believe that went unpunished  unbelievable.

Who should lead the line? Martial or Rashford. Martial struggles on the wing , Rashford's finishing is dodgy at times.

This'll be counter vs possession, and I'm hoping City's style of play falls into our hands.

Don't think we should play three at the back. Just make sure we play 3 in midfield and stop them from overrunning us.

I think we need aggression over control, so I'd opt for Fellaz over Carrick.

Lingard, Rashford, etc - players who run a lot of the ball will need to start, so we're effective on the counter.

Think we could win this. The first goal is vital, though.
I feel it will be Posession Vs Posession. The way the league cup fixture turned out.

Well the other options were Oliver and Clattenburg, so... :p
I thought Bobby Madley did really well in our game against Chelsea. Why not give him the game? Andre Marriner is another good referee.

I don't understand why they keep giving these matches to Martin Atkinson. He is not that good of a referee!

I don't think they like to give two matches of any team to the same referee in a short period of time. Mourinho talked positively about Madley after the Chelsea game, so that probably didn't help either. :D I've reached the point where I don't really trust any PL ref to have a good game, especially in the big games.

I'd say it depends a lot on whether they (Palace, Leicester, WBA) are in the races. Again, teams with nothing to play for. We've got Swansea, Spurs and Arsenal very much fighting until the last minute of the season.
IMHO, Palace just beat Liverpool and on the whole have a decent team with a good attack. Leicester's already beaten City this season and with West Brom also enjoying one of their best seasons, I think it's fair to say that these teams will relatively be on song and will be a challenge to City.

However, you're definitely right in that our run in is much harder.

And Palace more or less secured their league spot with that Liverpool win. I hope they keep up the decent form they have, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. West Brom, since reaching that "magical" 40 point mark, have lost their last 3 matches (Watford A, So'ton H, Liverpool H). On the beach already imo. I hope Leicester's good run in the CL gives them confidence to challenge Arsenal and City, they were on a good run before the Atletico tie, and it's understandable they focused on those.

We also need to win City, Arsenal and Spurs away. Normally decent 6-7 points might not be enough, but in one way I'll just enjoy the last matches one game at a time. A win on Thursday would be a big step.

I think one very important factor in these two weeks or so for United will be the 'breather' and lack of travelling.

Since the Anderlecht away game, it's been a case of home games and, Burnley and City - and this will be a welcome psychological break, given the hectic nature and the bad news of Zlatan and Rojo's injuries.

They needed this - and just might find that extra zip to get their noses ahead of Liverpool before the crunch away matches in the south.

A very good point. It can only be a good thing that the players get to spend a bit more time with their families and rest instead of travel.

Absolutely. All we can do is beat City and then take one matchday at a time, hoping that some of these sides haven't gone on holidays just yet :D

Out of interest, do you want Rooney to play or is that your prediction? I think he would struggle in this match.
    I think both.

He always does good against City and if its not working, we can always sub him off for Fellaini or Martial.

    Hoping for something like this.
    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Blind Shaw
    Herrera Fellaini
    Pogba
    Mkhitaryan Rashford Martial
That forward line would scare the shit out of City fans. Also having Herrera and Elbows/Felony in midfield would send them into apoplexy if they can get at their players with a 'biased' ref.
