feck yeah! One of the shittest performances in a first half ever was worth it for that!

Fair dos to Pogba...silences the bullshit in the papers too with his end of pitch celebrations.

Andre Herrera was great soaking up those fouls, bout time we had someone on our side do that to the opposition. Proper wound up Kompany too!

Great goal Smalling but still a squad player for me.
For me Herrera was the best player for us today for showing how to standup to the bullies that City can be and a few good lay offs for goals.

Game of two halves, that. We put the shite where they truly belong. I'm really and truly proud of the boys. Pogba and Sanchez in particular.

One to add to any greatest premier league comeback lists! Arguably right near the top in the context of who it was against, and their record this year!

Unbelievable comeback! I didn't think we were getting a shot today, let alone doing that. Wow.

I hope a lot of people feel like absolute goons for their rants earlier.
Guilty as charged and but am estatic that we've put one over city. I still standby the comments that I made.

Even though they'll win the title, this will be talked about just as much. What a way to piss on their parade and history!!

You could add Sanchez second half performance
    sorry let me correct it..

    Reasons I'm Happy.

    S. 3 points was huge for our 2nd place ambitions.
    A. We deny City the 'once in a lifetime' PL win at home to rivals.
    N. Pogba stepped up when we needed him most, finally.
    C.
Smalling repaid us for his howler over Kompany in the first half.
    H. De Gea
    E. The fans deserve this for their incredible support
    Z. Refer back to my points

There has to be better defenders out there than him. There simply has to be. Jose has nothing to do with Smallings consistent inability to defend a corner.
I am not convinced really. I do think Smalling is underappreciated. Sure he makes mistakes, but he is the only defender with a real presence.
Even if we take attacking side of things, sure that is not the most pertinent skill for a defender, but a CB that can score is almost a necessity for a top team. And it's not about today, but looking back 2-3 years, Smalling is the only defender here who scores or being a real threat.
And as his strictly defensive showings go, sure he does make blunders, he is not quick. But he also does have really impressive games. Vitally his injury record is by far superior to Bailly, Jones. He is also not a drama queen, so being a sub in some games seems to have zero effect on him.
What do we have. Is Smalling a definite starter? I don't know, but that is a "maybe" at least. Is he a player United must keep and use as a part of squad? I mean a sort of closer reserve, a player who is not going to start every game, but who gets around 20-30 games a season. The answer for me is a yes. And i don't think United can find anyone much better.

You make it sound like he’s been given peanuts to spend. He’s spent hundreds of millions of pounds.

Mourinho has failed at getting anything close to the best out of this group, which is something 95% of managers have to do when they join a club.

This idea that the whole squad needs replacing is bloody ridiculous.
    You are talking nonsense!
He’s only brought in 7 players.....his nemesis at City has brought in 18 players. You gotta be irrational to think just 7 players are enough to pull us out of the swamp Moyes/LvG left us in.

Utterly embarrassing first half, we should have been 4 down. To say the least.

Brilliant response, while riding our luck.

A decent win that does a bit to show some resilience. I hope Jose has learned a little something from this.

They've got to get in a room and look at that first half. It was abysmal and it could have been another 6-1 dabacle. Anyone convincing themselves otherwise is kidding themselves. 0 shots at goal. Not even on target. At goal. At all. Shambles at the back, dogshit in midfield and starved any of our attacking players of anything like a scrap of service.

Sat back, no guts, no belief. Genuinely disgusting.

Second half we score with the first bit of decent football, then realise that they're not fecking Barcelona of 2011. Get at them and open them up.

He isn't wrong though is he? We were a sterling away from another 5-0 thrashing at half time lets be honest.

That isn't the true United and we need to stop that happening.

Best side English football had ever seen a week ago. He should probably start training the tackles.
Maybe, and it's funny how these things turn. Quadruple talk etc.

They are still going to be champions of England. By a fecking long way. They've still bagged two trophies...we've got a feck load to do to bag one, and even more to catch up with them.

I don't really get what's hard to understand about that. We've won a battle, they've steamrolled the war...and yet the bald gobshite is a fraud?

I hate the cnuts, but in all honesty they'll forget about this in a few weeks while they parade a second trophy around Manchester.

Yeah, it's really that easy mate, that's why they've won a mere 27 out of 31 league games, and had previously lost 1.
It's amazing such an obvious 1 liner has been missed on 26 different occasions so far isn't it.

Yes, let's concentrate on what might have happened as opposed to what actually did happen.

We all know they've been the best team, but if you can't savour that comeback, then you might as well go and watch another sport.

No, I'm not wrong. As pleased as I am with the result and the response like.

It was important we turned up, and though we obviously mistook the kick off time for 6.15 as opposed to 5.30...it was decent to see that response.

However, we were shown up badly first half by a city side minus some of their first choice. It was a horror show...we need to be far better to take that big step forward.

It's only an observation. We got away massively only being 2 down at HT...then we decided to have a crack. That Pogba goal just gave us a glimpse we could get at them. How we did too. While riding our luck at the end.

We need to look at the game as a whole.

Trust me boys i'm bloody enjoying this lol. I'm just being realistic also, it doesn't just go away because we won.

Oh, I did. Don't you worry :) and so should it be!

However, given the context of the game and the performance for the first 45, it's obvious it could have been very different.

But so much better than having the halves the other way round though!
That second half puts us in a great position for 2nd, and should give us confidence for the FA Cup, as well as next season

Obviously we still need the same additions we needed pre game

Except we aren't Stoke, or Everton or Swansea.

We have assembled a team full of class players, a world class manager and have ample resources at our disposal.

You really thought the approach first half resembled that?

    Fair enough.

    I couldn't agree more buddy. I really couldn't.

As I say, it was an epic response...I hope we improve off the back of it significantly :)
