Even with our poor attack we should be putting 3 past this lot. No excuses

Ole will finally take his finger out of his arse for this one. Our best current back 4. Our best and balanced current midfield 3 with pogba in his best position and our best current front 3. I hate using the word best but it's just completely relative to us. It's what we got.

    AWB Axel Harry Young

Pretty sure Martial has a way bigger chance of playing than Rashford. Rashford just did his groin.

Not sure why people are so negative about this game. This is exactly the kind of game that we should win. Just like against Chelsea, we will be most dangerous on the counter. Unlike most of our other games, Arsenal won't sit back and obsorb pressure. There will be holes in Arsenal's defense, especially on the counter...

    1-2 or 1-3

    My team if fit.

De Gea, AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Pogba, Greenwood, Martial, James

Have a feeling Ole will not start Mason for some bizarre reason and will go with Lingard or Mata. He probably wont play Fred either and go with Matic. Same old same old.

This is the main reason I think we will lose.

What's all this fear of arsenal?
They shipped 31 chances to a rock bottom Watford who lost 8-0 the week after!
We've actually got Pogba back, it sounded like Martial will be back too. Huge differences.

We will lose against Newcastle and Pool but i honestly think that we will win this. Arsenal is naive team. Too attacking with that shit defence. We will park biggest bus ever on OT on which Jose will be proud and counter them. 2-1, even maybe 3-1.

With Bailly & TFM the only ones that are out long term and very surprisingly, you can add Jones to that list. Could some of the other injured players return or is it too early to say?

    Martial
    Shaw
    Dalot
    Gomes

Reckon we will lose this one. Their intensity will kill our lethargy

    Lindelof
    Maguire
    Long balls club captain

    Matic
    Mc Tominay

Hammering incoming. A proper rude awakening type of 'silent OT' hammering.

Ole sat in the dugout, completely blank faced. Phelan on the touchline making half-arsed hand gestures. Players wandering around sullenly, not knowing where to look. Arsenal fans chanting 'sacked in the morning'. That type of loss.

    AWB--------Lindelöf-----Maguire-----------Young

SIDE NOTE - Look at that lineup. Fecking hell. Man United. Man fecking United.

SUBS - Mata (Lingard), Fred (Pereira), Matic (Pogba).

    Man United 1 - 3 Arsenal
Dan James with a moment of something for us, when 0-2 down.

Hi all - This is a bit random but me, my brother and a friend of ours is heading over to Manchester for the game Monday evening vs Arsenal. We are flying over Sunday afternoon and staying till Tuesday. We are Irish therefore we love our pints so we would like to head out Sunday night anyway (possibly Monday also), does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go Sunday night? Are there any good late bars/clubs that do be opened on a Sunday that we should check out? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. :) PS: We are staying close to the city center

    not going to be pretty

Ole needs a win to steady the ship - a loss here and a heavy defeat against a rampant liverpool and it could be all over for him

    We can barely beat Rochdale?
We've won about 2 games in the last 60?
We seem to be getting worse week after week?
You mention Watford who got hammered 8-0, you know who also got hammered 4-0? West Ham.

    We'll drop points on Monday.

What's the point of having the monday games so late? It's really annoying.

Anyhow hoping for a 433. de Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelöf, Maguire, Young; McTominay, Matić, Pogba; Greenwood, Martial, James.

But I'm guessing Mata and Lingard will be in Solskjærs XI. Wouldn't mind Fred starting ahead of Matić so I'd be Fred, McTom, Pogba.

Okay so having established that Fred is every bit as garbage as Matic, and with Tuanzebe looking so assured in the team....

Is is still bonkers to suggest Tuanzebe or Lindelof be given a chance as a defensive midfielder against Arsenal, seem as both have played that role before?

Well get slapped and nothing will happen. Well go to Holland, get beaten and people will make some ridiculous excuses for Ole. We’ll probably get absolutely destroyed by Liverpool at Old Trafford before he’s about to get the boot, only for Gary Neville to have a meltdown on Sky how we should just suck it up and take it cause cycles or something something.

It’s essentially two poor midfields against each other, but which will be the least poor on the day. Probably finish 1-1

Agreed. We need green players in defence and greedy ones in attack . :D

A West Ham heavily rotated squad yes.
A United heavily weakened team drew with Rochdale, after barely being troubled all game, and them sucker punching us.

Not saying we'll win on Monday, but we certainly shouldn't fear them, unlike the top 2, who if they got hold of us right now could easily give us a Moyes season going over.

I expect us to win this. Arsenal won't sit back, it'll allow us to actually counter attack.

    2-1 to us.

We'll know in 3 weeks what this squad is capable of. Not expecting 0-0 this time around.

The only thing I expect this season is a constant roller coaster of ups and downs.
Beat Arsenal, lose to Newcastle and so on.

Never quite enough pressure to build on an Ole out campaign, but never any momentum to suggest we can do anything.

If I post it now can’t I be the first to complain about Gomes missing out and Ole not rating him? Or have I read the start of the thread and worked out he’s injured...

Arsenal will be fancying themselves coming into this, we are under immense pressure and the side is lacking confidence, hopefully it will see some players step up to the plate. Personally I'd start Axel and I think all the LB options are much of a muchness. Hopefully Martial is fit and we can field the below team.

The same team I picked except I had Matic instead of Fred.

I feel like this is a game we can actually win.

Watching Arsenal vs Spurs, the space Arsenal left on the counters, it was even worse than Chelsea when we thrashed them 4-0. Let’s just hope that Emery starts David Luiz. However, Arsenal’s looks like they are getting back some of their key defenders, so things might not be as easy as expected.

If we start Greenwood on the right and James on the left, I see nothing but a comfortable victory. Our defense will be to hard for Arsenal to break down and I can see De Gea having one of those brilliant games now that he is out of my fantasy team.

    De Gea
    AWB - Linderlof - Maguire - Rojo
    Fred
    Mctominay - Pogba
    Greenwood - Martial/Lingard - James

    United 3 - 1 Arsenal
    Greenwood x2 Auba
    James 1
