Would like to see Valdes, Pereira, Wilson, and Januzaj get some game time and maybe give ADM a start...Top four is sealed so it's time to experiment and plan for next season.

Will Januzaj or Pereira be that much worse than Young or Fellaini? Will Wilson be that much worse than Rooney? I don't think so, considering the way we were performing in the last 4 games.
I have no idea what you are on about..He's been easily our best outfield player and best attacking threat for a while now!

Just food for thought, who do arse have that can deal with Afroman? Coquelin maybe? Because if they don't have anyone to mark Fellaini, it'll be a similar game to the one at Anfield.

Nobody, Mertesacker is like a big friendly giant that hates physical contact.

I actually reckon they'll be naive enough to drop Coquelin for Jack Wheelchair. Think we've got this.

EDIT: Jack Wheelchair was an autocorrect... But well done IPhone.

How ironic that the last game he started was against us at the Emirates. If the ref had done his job properly then Wheelie would've been back from his ban three games later. Karma.

Blind will have to be much better in this game than he was the last time against Arsenal. Fellaini also needs to be more effective. He should physically dominate their midfield but I was disappointed in that last time.

No, we'd need Arsenal to lose to one of, or draw both of, Sunderland and West Brom (both at home). Or for them to draw one of them and hope our GD can beat theirs. Slim chance.

Can't help but think this match will end our slim hope for 3rd.

Hope Januzaj and Wilson start now LVG secured the CL.

Mourinho has exposed this lot, like he exposed us. Keep it tight. they will let you in, eventually. Oh, and Ospina is bound to make a mistake. He should have been sent off with a penalty for nearly killing Oscar.

    We should be quietly confident.

This game will be tight, and I think it will be a draw. Can not see the Gunners slipping down to the fourth place.

Is there any reason why we shouldnt play our best player (De Gea)?
Season is virtually over for us, we've got 4th, slim to none chance of improving to 3rd, why not give De Gea a day off for all he's done for us this season, Valdes hasn't started a game yet, he's easily a good enough keeper to not worry leaving De Gea out. Pick one

Still a slim hope we can take 3rd place, so that hope LVG fields the best 11 and win it. No one knows Arsenal may bottling it vs Sunderland or WestBrom and we directly qualify for C.L group stages. At least still a possibility IMO.

Last few performances from Blind and Herrera worry me. Would like to see Jones in the middle to roughen them up.
Jones can rough people up. But most of the time, it is he, who gets roughed up.
For all his size, the guy is like delicate flower. One hard push and this guy will go off nursing an injury.

Isn't it arguable that one of Arsenal's new found strengths - the ability to play compact and sit off waiting for the counter - is exactly the sort of thing we've shown ourselves to struggle with this season? When teams defend deep ish and force us to try to break them down we've invariably come up short, or at least looked very laboured in getting through.

    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Fellaini
    Mata Rooney Young

That will be the team if Shaw is fit, I would of wanted Rooney to be dropped because he's been poor recently but he wont because he's captain which is BS but also he usually loves scoring against arsenal so fingers crossed he does

I would of loved to have seen this

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Mata
    Januzaj Wilson Young

Sure, but if you offer Arsenal the ball, they will take it, and their natural tendency to flood forward will win through.

I can't believe some are thinking that we shouldn't play our best team :houllier:
Same here. I think some fans believe we have just won the treble, so lets enjoy the honeymoon period.
In most seasons, finishing in 4th place would be a catastrophy, so I'm not quite sure why our first teamers should get time off and take an early holiday.

Surely a closet Chelski fan? Mourinho didn't discover keeping it tight is the best chance to play against Wenger's Arsenal... It's been the best way to play against us long before he even came to England.

Anyway, think we will win this one. I wouldn't be altogether shocked if we didn't but I think on paper we have too much and United could miss Carrick in the midfield duel. If United win, Rooney will be the man to do it.

If we win on Sunday there is a fair chance that Arsenal will choke in one of their remaining two games imo.
We should go all out for the win. I don't think they have the personnel to deal with Fellaini, so with a bit of luck we'll click like we did against Pool and Spurs.
This isn't the game to blood youngsters really - we need to get the job done. If 3rd is out of our hands after this then they can play against Hull instead.

Blind is too slow to play in the #6 position for this game.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
    Herrera
    Fellaini - di Maria
    Mata - Rooney - Young

Yes, I'm a closet Chelski fan. You found me out! :(

Weren't Arsenal changed? Transformed? No longer predictable and the punching bags of the elite? Weren't you on a 8 game wining streak before Jose rolled into the Emirates and completely nullified your team?

I guess nothing has changed. But then again, how can it? When you have the same man in charge and that man is more concerned about balancing the books than football.

Arsenal has great offense but their defense is potentially worse than ours. 2-1 for us because they will try to attack and lose because of it.

Should be an entertaining game as there's no need for either team to approach it with caution. I'd love to see Wilson get a run out if Rooney and RvP aren't available.

We'll put in a performance like the ones where we won 6 in a row.
