Yes, I'm a closet Chelski fan. You found me out! :(

Weren't Arsenal changed? Transformed? No longer predictable and the punching bags of the elite? Weren't you on a 8 game wining streak before Jose rolled into the Emirates and completely nullified your team?

I guess nothing has changed. But then again, how can it? When you have the same man in charge and that man is more concerned about balancing the books than football.
No.. nothing has/had changed. We paid our stadium off, we brought in two world class players in Ozil and Sanchez and we're slowly working our way back up. Hopefully a good summer ahead for us but nobody expected much from the Arsenal this season and we still have a cup final to play!

Your posts read a bit like an overly reactive 15 year old's ramblings. Football clubs are built slowly in most cases (especially one that can't spend ~150m per window).

    @Archie Leach Cheers pal!

Kind of hope the likes of januzaj, mcnair and wilson play the last 2 games.
It'd be nice to beat arsenal obviously but i think i'd nearly rather lose the last games giving them a chance

    lol nah for real though.

This is very likely De Gea's last game at OT. I couldn't care about this match tbh. Just looking forward to the rebuild in summer.

First off dont count your chickens just yet. and Rebuild? I thought LVG has done that already by adding 5 players to the squad and cleared out most of the deadwood and promoted the academy players into first team. All united need is 3 (maybe 4) ready made players. Especially quality striker, been dominating possession lately this half of the season but just dont have that 20+ goal scorer up there to give it to because the current strikers just isnt stepping up.

Anyways ranting on abit, i think LVG will be keen to finish off this season on a high. I do want him to stick on some youth like Januzaj & Wilson though. Them two be doing well in U21s and considering the main target to get back into top four is completed. I dont see why not, some regular starting players have been lacking, especially up front some it could add the edge united need. I dont see why not.

Is my guess. Wouldn't be surprised to see Di Maria get a start somewhere as well, as he's fit for this. One last chance for a reprieve this season.

Hoping for this but I worry we could see Jones/Evans at LB as Rojo is just getting back to fitness. Also reckon we could see Falcao starting for the same reason.

Tame draw or we getting slaughtered! Can't see us coming strongly out of this. Liverpool at Arsenal comes in mind. Need to be wary.

Thought RVP had a good game vs West Brom, so he might just get a goal on Sunday

Would like Di Maria to start but Young had a good game against Palace so it won't happen.

Hoping to see RVP back to his best too. Going for a 2-1 win.

I feel Di Maria and Young can do more damage on Bellerin and Monreal than Mata could do by running right at them but it doesn't feel right dropping Mata as he's a big game player... Tough one.

I don't know if you are actually a Chelsea fan, but that's a pretty lame comment. It's fairly obvious that if Wenger could have spent, he would have. It's very easy to talk about football being the main object when you're bankrolled by a multi-billionaire (what's the loan now,£1.1bn?). It's also very easy for Mourinho to focus only on the football when he's never had to manager under financial constraints.

Absolutely. I think it is well known how little I like Arsenal.. but I'm always keen to credit Wenger for managing to guide Arsenal to CL every season while they had to limit their spending.

(Also it's easier to be courteous when I know we can blow them away financially ;) )

Would love for us to line up like this:

    DDG

    Valencia Smalling Rojo Blind

    Jones

    Herrera Fellaini

    Mata RvP Young

Truly feel Jones has a future in midfield.

Really the only choices here are picking 2 from the di Maria, Mata, Young hat and 1 from Falcao or Van Persie one.

Don't think he'll drop Mata after making him the designated penalty taker.

A win would open up the possibility of them bottling automatic CL places.

Rather see Fellaini even though he's terrible in that position than suffer Rojo at left back. Blind has been shocking since he went into CM from left back.

It's interesting to me that Jones has not been tried once in midfield for all of LVGs tinkering.

I don't think he sees that happening, anyway. When i watch him i don't think, "Get that guy into midfield" to be honest.

He's shown he can be effective there, it's certainly not 'mental' to like him as a midfielder, imho.

Wow i was nearly two days away from RedCafe and only 16 new posts.....very quiet for a Manchester United vs Arsenal game :boring:

    I will go.
Alright, well might see you there. Weirdly quiet in here. Gutted to hear Rooney not playing. Hopefully we do well.

Midfield is a highly technical area about creating space, closing spaces, making hard passes, timing tackles and knowing when to sit deep and when to drive forward. Something Jones has zero idea how to do, as evident by his "lunge into every tackle no matter what" attitude.

That line-up is my guess also. Best we can put out imo, but it doesnt give me a helluva lot of confidence that we'll win though.

I dont rate Blind in CM at all - he's a much better LB & better than Rojo there also, but he'll have to play in CM on Sunday.

Jones is much better at 5-a-side, than he is at 11-a-side apparantly. He's still last pick though & usually in nets..
