    Decent half, well in control.

Sabitzer has been good as the 10/second striker, probably won more flicks on and aerial balls than Wout has in all his starts. Looks a far better player around the box than deep. Bruno has been much more restrained, most of the play has gone through him.

Decent half. Need to create more though. Brentford have also been very poor it has to be said.

Good enough argument for Weghorst not starting anymore. Granted, Brentford are without a midfield today, but still...

Feels like our first good first half in sometime. I guess having no Wout really does make the difference.

Good half. Players working hard and moving well to put things right.

Pretty dominant first half performance. We've controlled the game well and have limited them to virtually nothing but we just haven't created much so far. No real stand out performances from a positive or negative perspective, but pretty solid all round.

De Gea's been much better on the ball today. That one mistake aside, it's also good to see him showing for it.

Genuinely fecking baffling how much shit Antony gets in here after a half like that. Do people genuinely expect him to dribble 2-3 men and curl every chance in the top corner every time?

He's been very good this half. And I hate everyone who can't see that.

Other than that, good half by the team. Giant difference in attitude from the Newcastle game.
He's done much more than Sancho has done in basically 2 seasons. At least he shows confidence

Maybe but I think a lot is to do with the opposition. Newcastle were at home and bang up for it, Brentford don't look too fussed tonight.

Really need that second goal, I have a feeling they will score against the run of play

Been our best attacker so far imo.

Martial for Sancho. Fred for McT (not on a yellow, better short passer and even with Fredhead, 20% more responsible with tackling/possession) at H/t please

Our best half of football since February minus McTominay stinking up the midfield as usual.

exactly man. If it was Allison or ederson back there doing exactly what DDG has done today people would be happy with it. Theyd be like oh well a single bad pass is better than ddg wouldve done blah blah blah.

Good half. Controlled the game in and out of possession. Bruno has been amazing!

Hopefully we can get the second early on in the second half, as I can't imagine Brentford will be as passive as they were in the first.

I've said it time and time again, playing with that guy is an instant advantage to the opposition.

    De gea can feck off
    Take your own advice

Around the 40m mark he controlled a terrible back pass and within the minute made an excellent pass.

But of course that doesn't suit your agenda against an United legend.

I've no problem with someone wanting a new keeper but I do have a problem with pricks celebrating every little mistake. Whether you like it or not DDG is here until the end of the season so why not support your team instead of bs like the post I'm replying to

We're dominating and thoroughly deserve the lead but we're not creating enough. There were some promising moves, mostly when we remained patient enough to pass the ball around, trying to draw defenders out of position with little give-and-goes. It is okay to slow down sometimes, really. It can even help.

Bruno playing an underrated role so far, much more restraint than normal and has some quality deeper that we have been missing.

Sancho is so frustrating, that attack when Rashford took a shot he showed no desire to make a run for him. Talented but zero intensity

Also looked like he didn't even touch the guy though.
Agreed. It's just pressure, and a diving from Jensen(?). Bad referee. Nowadays, you can't just pretend to be aggressive to apply pressure.

Agreed. Created a good chance for Mctominay with his right foot and played a quick through ball to Rashers on the break amongst other things. Just more direct than his typical performances for us.
