I don't think we'll see much different from the side that played against Newcastle really. De Gea, Valencia, Young, Matic, and Rashford will come back in from the start. Pogba, Smalling, and Lukaku will continue. The only real questions are whether Rojo is alright to start another game so soon or if Lindelof is brought back in. Then, it's two from Mata/Martial/Lingard/Mkhitaryan. Most likely the first two in that group, so could well be the same XI that faced Newcastle.

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Lindelof Young
    Matic Pogba
    Martial Mata Rashford
    Lukaku

Sub appearance for Ibrahimovic is guaranteed no matter what happens in the game, though I think the diamond isn't working at the moment when we bring him on. We get exposed down the flanks a bit too much, though not having him on the pitch with Pogba on the left side of that diamond is a big cause of that IMO.

Herrera or Fellaini will come in as sub and one of them will probably start rather than playing a traditional no.10 against Watford.

Reckon we will get a big win here really if we start well.
Gone for the same line up

How did you manage to misplace all those players?;) Even Mata is probably on the wrong place.

If we win it will be the first time we've won back to back games since September. October really killed our momentum. We were neck and neck with City before the first international break. Very important to keep the pressure on. It's a big week with tough away matches against Watford and Arsenal coming up after this. No room for error really.

Hoping for both Rashford and Martial again. Would pick Blind for more defensive balance but Young seems to be first choice.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Lindelof Young
    Mata Matic Pogba
    Rashford Lukaku Martial

I like it that Jose does not take them lightly like many on here. Still, it is obvious that United have too much quality for them. Mission impossible (not if it was last season though).

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has exclusively revealed to MUTV that Eric Bailly and Phil Jones will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Speaking to Helen Evans at the Aon Training Complex, the boss said: "They are out," referring to central defensive pair Jones and Bailly. "But we are okay because we have [Chris] Smalling, [Marcos] Rojo and [Victor] Lindelof."

Mourinho also confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic will feature for a third successive game in all competitions after making his much-anticipated comeback from injury in last weekend's top-flight win over Newcastle United, before appearing as a late substitute again in the Champions League tie at Basel.

"I prefer him on the pitch than off the pitch," the boss told us. "On the pitch, he’s another option for us and he’s an option of quality. His physicality and his intelligence, the way he moves, the way he plays.

"But he needs time. We managed to give him 15/20 minutes in both matches, he needs more of that, so hopefully, tomorrow, we play him again."

Paul Pogba will start against Brighton in the 15:00 GMT kick-off at Old Trafford, although Mourinho has stated the France international cannot yet complete a full game.

"Paul is still on this process where he cannot reach the fatigue limit," explained the boss. "He cannot go more than 65 to 70 minutes because that’s when fatigue normally arrives and, with so many matches consecutively, we need to protect such an important player for us."

The players not involved in Basel could all return, including David De Gea, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Meanwhile, Rojo came through his first 90 minutes since a knee operation with no ill effects.

"He was training with the team longer than Paul and Zlatan," added Mourinho. "But in a period when we had every central defender ready to play so we protected him. We gave him a better condition and, when we put him in the Champions League match, he was really ready.

"So 90 minutes, no problem, no reaction from the knee, confidence in his game, a good, solid performance. It’s very good to have him back."

Manchester Evening News is reporting that Pogba is not in the squad, well they say he is not in the squad photographed going in to the Lowery.
Rested maybe? It says on the United website he will start though.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Young
    Pogba Matic
    Rashford Mata Martial
    Lukaku

Subs: Romero, Shaw, Lindelof, Fellaini, Mkhi, Lingard, Ibra

Team pretty much picks itself, although maybe we'll see Fellaini for Pogba or Lindelof for Rojo depending on how much Jose feels they need to be eased back in.

Should Jose play Mkhitaryan? We have 2 away games coming next in less than a week so we might need everyone!

I'd rather see Rashford - Mata - Martial again

He can sub on if Mata isn't doing well

Same XI like how we played in 2nd half against Newcastle last week but Rojo takes Lindelof's spot.

If it ain’t break, don’t break it.

    4-2-3-1

    Young
    Smalling
    Rojo
    Valencia

    Matic
    Pogba

    Mata—Rashford—Martial
    ————Lukaku————

Rashford as SS instead of RW. Sub off Pogba and one/two of our attackers asap

Expecting a good albeit hard fought win today. We have 3 tough league fixtures coming up so we want to keep the momentum as we go into those games.

It's a home game and the one thing I could not fault about this season is the home form; I'm finally looking forward to home games once more.

(Please don't ruin this now for me, United)

Brighton were very poor at the Emirates. We should have enough to pin them back and score a couple.

No reason at all to not bombard them today, they don't have much going forward. 3-0 at least.

Although, if Pogba is indeed out, we'll scrape a 1-0 at best. We are shocking without him, it's concerning.
