Can't fathom how people still beleive its the formation that's causing us problems.
I still get caught up with that myself. I think its because a lot of us learnt our football playing FIFA, we dont know jack really. I had this opinion though back on Jan 30...
The philosophy will hinder the full potential of any formation,at least for now. These players are still trying to work this out and some of them might never. That is the real fear;that we just have too many of these players currently. Even the 352 is not this bad.
I dont know how accurate this is but even during the West Ham I remember thinkin "well at least we know its not the formation".

Formation doesn't stop you playing with tempo, its just the easy fix every here seems to crave. A month ago 3-5-2 was all things evil and a quick change to the midfield diamond and we would be bad ass again. Evidently that's not been the case and now 4-3-3 is our saviour.
    Good point.

Do you think that we will have (and score) a f***** penalty this year? Liverpool and Chelsea seems to have one every game and I can’t clearly remember when was our last penalty (RVP against Olympiacos?)
To get a penalty we'd need to get into the box with the ball...

I think Rafael played for the U21's on Monday too, so I doubt he'll be involved. Back four is likely Valencia, Smalling, Jones, and Rojo.

I'd hope LvG sends a message to RvP/Falcao that they need to do more and make better runs behind the defence if we're going to keep finding room in the team for a pair of strikers.

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Rojo
    Herrera Blind
    Januzaj Rooney Di Maria
    Wilson

That would be a pretty ideal line-up to try some width and actually play Herrera. Doubt we'll see it though.

    -------------De Gea---------
    Rafael---Jones--Smalling--Rojo
    -------------Blind-----------
    ------Herrea------Di Maria------
    -------------Mata------------
    ---------Rooney---RVP---------

That should be our line up most weeks. Hopefully tonight we can see this!

Are these sides realistic or hopeful? Rooney won't play CF, Herrera won't play in a 2 and Fellaini won't start furthest back in midfield, that's ridiculous..Bearing in mind Shaw is out, I'd go with:

    DDG
    Val Jones Smalling Rojo
    Blind
    Rooney ADM
    Herrera
    Wilson Falcao

    However, I'd like to see:

    DDG
    Rafael Jones Smalling Rojo
    Blind
    Herrera Fellaini
    Januzaj_________Di Maria
    Rooney

Personally would like Rooney to sit this one out.

    DDG
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Blackett
    Herrera Blind Di Maria
    Mata
    Falcao RVP

I would like to see what the front can do when we have an attack minded diamond in midfield.

Have Fellani, Young, Adnan and Wilson on the bench.

I'd love to see that second one personally. But for me Mata should also be getting a game tonight, and he doesn't fit that formation!

I imagine Evans will be the LCB. Won't play Smalling and Jones at CB as he prefers balance and Evans is stonger on his left foot than the other two.

What time is kick off your time Maru ? Do you get it televised over there ?
4.45am for this one. Never on TV and no goals now either since Kagawa left.
I usually watch a Russian stream becasue I can't stand the English and Yank commentators.

this is how we should line up in the diamond

    GK----De gea

Rb/LB Valencia and shaw edit* forgot shaw was suspended move rojo out to LB and play Jones at CB or if young is fit then play him LB

    CB----smalling/rojo

    CDM----Blind

    CM----Di Maria and Herrera

    CAM----Mata

    ST----Rooney and Wilson

That's easily the best team to put out feck rvp and Falcao sick of the pair of them they've had chance after chance so play Rooney back where he belongs and give Wilson a game too, mata and herrera deserve a start too

I also deem it as the best line-up we can currently go with. Falcao and Persie have been extremely lethargic recently and the idea of playing Rooney in the midfield has been blatantly turned out to be the worse one.

Have a strange feeling we will see Herrera in the starting line-up.
Strange is a massive understatement. I'd be shocked if Herrera started the game or if he came on as a sub.

Van Gaal is tired of Falcao and Van Persies lack of form and has dropped them both.
    Therefore he's fielding this side:

    DDG
    Rafael - Smalling - Rojo - Young
    Blind
    Herrera - Di Maria
    Mata
    Wilson - Rooney

12 min - We're absolute shit. Burnley is dominating and creating chances.
17 min - Our first chance; Mata shoots the ball 893 meters high with his non-lethal right foot.
27 min - Rafael with a beautiful dive. Scott Arfield is furious as he gets booked. The free kick is wasted by Rooney
29 min - Just noted that Michael Keane is playing against us. This must surely be against the rules?
Half time - We're still absolute rubbish. Burnley with 56% possession. We only have 59% passing accuracy. Van Persie coming on for Wilson at half time.
49 min - Falcao on for Rooney. Weird substitution.
50 min - This is the worst game I've ever seen. Both teams are shite.
54 min - PENALTY TO US!! Di Maria dribbled through their defense and got down quite easily. Nevertheless the penalty has been given.
58 min - GOAL! Falcao scored on the penalty! Undeserved lead to us! On a side note, how did it take 4 mins to take the penalty? Sad time wasting by Van Gaals side.
62 min - Burnley are pressuring heavily, but are not really close to scoring. Long shots seems to be their tactic.
73 min - Fellaini on for Herrera. Predictable substitution.
76 min - Oh my god. Burnley scored. De Gea with a blooper. Real Madrid just lost interest. David Jones is the goal scorer.
80 min - Burnley keep pounding the ball up he SAF stand. There must be someone there they don't really fancy.
88 min - GOAL!! Big Felli is our saviour. Beautiful volley. RVP with a nice assist.

The game finished 2-1. In the worst PL game I've ever seen, we managed to win on a bad day even with 46% possession. Burnley would probably have got away with one or more points if it wasn't for their evil agenda against one of the spectators in the Sir Alex Ferguson stand.

I really hope that we'll see Wilson fom the start today, he could inject some much needed energy and pace up front.

I know what you mean about the commentators , they do your head in , I usually turn it down so I can't make out what they're saying but can still hear the crowd . I suppose most kick off times are crap for you over there , it must piss you off getting up that time to watch the back three and De Gea passing it about themselves , I hope for your sake we put on a show tonight Maru .

Any particular reason you don't just watch the game the morning/day after when it's at a crap time like that? Prefer watching live maybe?
