We need to rest Bruno, Matic and Martial.
Martial because Ighalo can do a job and Bruno /Matic because they have played lots of games or too old as the case may be.

    I will go

    Romero
    TFM Bailly Lindelof Williams
    Fred Scott
    Pogba
    James Ighalo Rashford

    Romero
    TFM Bailly Maguire Williams
    Fred Mctominay
    James Pogba Rashford
    Ighalo

Take of Rashford and Pogba after 60 minutes with Martial and Bruno.

I would expect a very similar line up to the one that played Norwich in the last round. With Shaw being out due to injury.

Romero; Dalot, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Mata, Fernandes, Lingard; Ighalo.

    James Ighalo Greenwood
    Bruno
    Fred Mctominay
    Williams Maguire Bailly TFM
Without Bruno or Pogba our creativity is dead. Don't fecking play Pereira or Lingard as AM

I'd love to see Garner, Laird and Mengi get a run out. I know he hasn't got as many mentions as the other two in the last couple of months, but Garner is very much my pick to be the next star to come out of the reserves.

I'm expecting to see McTominay, Fred, Mata and Ighalo play significant chunks of the game.

I'd play an almost completely different team against Chelsea, people can pretend all they want about FA being more important because it's a chance at a trophy but let's all be realistic here, one more FA cup in the cabinet compared to how important it would be for this club and squad being in the Champions league next season, no brainer, United need to be in that competition next year, it's vital,

So on that note, i'd field the following:

    ----------------------------------Romero--------------------------------------
    ----Laird------------Bailly------------------Maguire-------Williams--------
    -------------------------------------Fred-----------------------------------------
    ----------------------Periera---------------McTominay-------------------------
    ---------James-------------Ighalo-------------------Rashford-------------

We don't unfortunately have anyone we can sub for Maguire, I'd love to see Laird get a run out as well, and then for attack we still need some form of quality there and I feel Rashford gets better with games and could benefit from more gametime under his belt plus he loves a game against Chelsea.

    We'll lose this one 0-1.
Chelsea is a threat, our players look knackered, if we play 2nd string we'll lose for sure.

I'm not letting anyone jinxing us this time.

Play the team that beat them in the league cup with a couple changes:

    Romero
    AWB Bailly Maguire TFM Williams
    McTominay Fred
    James Ighalo Rashford

Matic, Bruno, Pogba, Greenwood and Martial on the bench ready to be unleashed. Good balance between first and B team.

I'd leave out the 11 that are starting the next league game vs West Ham.

Keep the best 5 on the bench if required.

    Go with something like..

    Romero
    Dalot Lindelof Fosu Williams
    McTominay Fred
    Chong Lingard James
    Ighalo

And name the strongest possible bench so 5 can come on.

    Romero
    AWB--Bailly--Maguire--Williams
    McTominay--Fred
    James--Bruno--Rashford
    Ighalo

Subs: De Gea; TFM, Lindelof; Matic, Pogba, Mata; Lingard, Martial, Greenwood

While I expect us to lose with this team, I have it gives us a chance. I really want to rest Rashford and Bruno too, but I think that would give us no chance of a victory.

Why I feel that Ole will go full "we are man united" mode and will field best 11, then massive injury feck up during the match, and then bye bye top 4.

Wise would be to start with the second choice squad and introduce regular players in second half for 15-20 mins if the game still in balance. If we are losing then don't even bother.

I don't see Ole making the raft of changes many are predicting, i reckon De gea and the back 4 will remain unchanged as they'll need to build an undersanding with TFM for the remaining 2 PL games.

I also think Pogba and Bruno will play and Ole won't halt the Mashford Express, i could see Fred getting a start and perhaps James for the counter attack pace as Chelsea will probably play attacking football.

Romero will be in goal, think Ole will keep AWB in to counter Pulisic, although TFM did well in a defensive mode Thursday, so could use him during the game, as I think Williams will start. Would like to see McTominay and Fred as the midfield two, and I would play Pogba further forward. Ighalo could start, with James on the left, and Lingard on the right, as Ole has stated as much in his interview that Jesse deserves a start (could be a shop window display). After all that, I wouldn't be surprised to see most of Thursday's team starting, with possibly Romero, Williams and Lingard coming in.

Not sure if Ole is the type to stick with the keeper that got us this far or go with the #1 now rather then the final. Apart from that, I don’t see any other changes than possibly Ighalo starting for Martial or James starting for Greenwood. Rest will be first choice.

Don't see Ole fielding a weak team for this one. Just don't play a Mata/Lingard combination. Never works

I think we need to play one of Pogba/Fernandes and one of Martial/Rashford in order to provide sufficient creativity and goal threat.

Personally I'd go with Fernandes in midfield, as he seems less tired than Pogba and he worked well with Fred and Mctominay pre-lockdown.

Up front I'd pick Rashford as I think Ighalo will do a decent job deputising in the middle, but I'm not convinced by our LW replacements.

I have no idea what Ole is going to do here. My hunch is that he will field a strong team and go for it.

Don’t forget the Chelsea 12th man from the Wirral, the one and only bearded Smurf Mike Dean. He will be loving being the centre of attention at Wembley. Hope we beat them whichever team Ole picks then beat Arsenal in the final.

I think we will go for a mix between our best eleven/squad players. I think Ole is going to take this game seriously but will definitely have one eye on the West Ham game in midweek. Reckon we will go for 3 at the back for this game like we’ve done in the 2 previous games against them. Confident we will win this game and go on to win the cup

    Starting XI:

    Romero

    Wan-Bissaka
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Fosu-Mensah
    Williams

    Pogba
    Fred

    Fernandes

    Ighalo
    Martial

    subs:
    De Gea
    Dalot
    Lindelof
    McTominay
    Matic
    Mata
    James
    Greenwood
    Rashford

    Score Prediction:
    Manchester United 3-1 Chelsea

When fit Ole rarely rests Bruno, Rashford, Maguire, and Wan Bissaka so I'd expect all 4 to start.

Pogba, Martial, Matic might be selected on the bench. Williams if fit should start.

    A probable starting 11.

    Romero
    Wan Bissaka Bailly Maguire Williams
    McTominay Fred
    Bruno
    James Rashford
    Ighalo

    What I would go with.

    Romero
    AWB Lindelof Bailly Williams
    Fred Pogba McTominay
    Mason Martial Rashy

    What I expect from Ole.

    Romero
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams
    Pogba Matic
    Bruno
    Greenwood Martial Rashford

First team dominates Chelsea's high intensity midfield and terrorizes their defence coming up with 3 to 4 goals to the good. Second lineup plays a very tight and lopsided game that could go either way due to individual brilliance or mistakes. But I'm just armchair manager and Ole could as well rest more players and end up with a win.

So Bruno and Matic would lead to a less effective performance for you?
