    Banana peel this one.

Nervous and not confident we'll get a result. Chelsea will win and it will be squeeky bum time in the last game.

Not sure about that. We haven’t lost at home since the opening day of the season and how’s it going to happen against a Chelsea team who are potentially the most checked out squad in the history of the PL. We may settle for a draw but I really don’t see us losing.

I hope we win and by a few goals. We owe these lot a good beating.

Is there absolutely anything to gain from getting 3rd over 4th? Say if we win vs Chelsea, is it worth having a strong lineup in the last game to be ahead of Newcastle?

Its exactly why I'm so nervous about this one especially considering what's at stake for us.

Fourth means we need to play two qualifying matches before getting into CL proper. It’s not a guarantee win either.

This Chelsea side is the worst in the last 25 years. If we don't beat them, we need serious introspection.

A draw secures Champions league or a win puts Man United 3rd hmm..
Well if we get a point then fully expecting us to ring changes for Sunday as Newcastle GD is impossible to catch, however if we win then see us going strong to push for third place

I get why people are predicting a tight 0-0 or 1-1, but can you imagine watching that, with only a few minutes to go and Chelsea win a free kick or corner? It would be agonizing. I mean, Newcastle dominated Leicester by every metric today, but their nerves in the last few minutes were palpable, and only an excellent save by Pope gave them their precious point and prevented Leicester from taking all three. I can see us doing that against Chelsea if it's close toward the end of the game. I hope we focus on a win not a draw and score early.
    I can see it now.

That's the story of our season isn't it, can't win a match convincingly and are holding on for dear life at the end of games.

How many times has Maguire had to come on in the final minutes to defend our penalty box from the endless pressure, crosses and set pieces we're facing. Most times we hold on but I can think of Palace, Brighton and Sevilla where it's cost us off the top of my head.

Our ball retention isn't great at the best of times but those final 10 minutes when we're trying to protect a result it's absolutely horrendous.

That would be madness to play a first team against Fulham if we already have top 4 sewn up.

ETH has already complained about injuries due to fixture congestion and scheduling, why would we play the same 11 twice in 72-hours a week before a cup final if we don't have to. If a key player picks up an injury against Fulham I might view it as one of the dumbest decisions of all time.

These players have looked leggy for months, we can't turn down the chance to give our first 11 a rest before the final.

Of course if we lose to Chelsea this is all moot, resting won't be an option.

It's as if we accept as inevitable that the opposing team will come at us instead of us being proactive and seeking another goal to kill off the game. It's so negative and fatalistic. Good teams create their own destinies.

But I don't want to sound entirely negative; until we ran out of steam, Ten Hag's United have shown a lot of improvement given last season's horror show and should be commended overall. It's just kinda fizzled due to the sheer number of games and our relatively thin squad depth. I do think we'll show yet more improvement next season.

Well we are inept in front of goal so one lapse of concentration in defence and we're always in trouble.

We will continue to struggle with goalscoring until the transfer window, but there is still no excuse for not getting a win here. Chelsea have nothing to play for and a clueless manager.

Think this one will be difficult. They will show up as their last opportunity to show they have good players.

A draw will be enough for us, but I don't think this will be a classic for us. Nervy draw I think.

We really need to make sure of the point in this game. Win would be great but just can’t take the CL qualifying to the last game now

    Sodding Chelsea

Normally I'm optimistic going into most games, but not this one, they're truly awful at the min, can't score a goal and a limited midfield. I fully expect them to turn up. And Kepa to finally come good on his transfer fee

We’ll probably be the first team in a while that loses to Chelsea.
They beat Bournemouth a little over two weeks ago so there's no long winless run to break, thankfully.

Based on form they're one of the worst teams in the league. As with Spurs, we'll find a way to make them look better.

Remember when Lampard said we had the best front three in the league? when we were scoring goals left and right? they went on to beat us. I was really annoyed by that because it ruined our momentum. Now is a chance to batter them. I don't think their players even know each other that well. Strike at them when they're weak.

We’ll lose and get 4 key injuries to Rashford, Shaw, Varane and Fernandes. Meanwhile Casemiro will get a straight red and 10 game ban

We'll probably lose, be nervous for Fulham and then lose that one too.
You must be a very optimistic and positive person in real life that every time you walk past flowers they bloom and the birds start singing.

Start Garnacho and Fred or McT over Eriksen (he comes on as sub).

I don't care if Martial ever plays for us again and I always try to be optimistic about him....I am done.

    Please hammer them.

Rashford is an interesting one. We've managed okay without him. I would start him from the bench and bring him on around 60 or 70 mins. But knowing Ten Hag any sniff that's he's fit and he will be straight in.
