I expect some changes. No relaxing though, go out there and win, build on today's game.

Cause as the old football cliche goes, everyone plays football nowadays.

These team selections make you realise we've a lack of depth in defence, particularly at centre half. Plenty of options all over the pitch but paper thin at the back.

    I would play :
    --------------ddg--------
    Darmian--tfm--smalling--rojo
    --------Morgan--fellaini-------
    Miki---------Rooney-----Memphis
    -------------martial-------------

Give shaw some minutes, take of miki around 65 for lindgard and Martial for carrick around 75.
Last 15 in à 4-3-3 with Rooney up front.

I expect Blind to be rested regardless of who is fit to play Left Back. I think Shaw should not to be rushed back in, so it'll probably be Rojo. Valencia should also be rested. Smalling and Bailly to keep playing together to build the partnership.

Carrick might get a game here, we may even need him to play with Blind likely to be saved for the Premier League games.

    De Gea
    Darmian Bailly Smalling Rojo
    Carrick
    Fellaini Rooney
    Lingard Rashford Young
    ---
Romero; Fosu-Mensah; Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Memphis; Martial

Valencia, Blind, Pogba, Mata, Ibrahimovic rested for the weekend, along with Herrera unlikey to come off the bench. Lingard may start again on the weekend regardless of today, but he is by far the most replaceable depending on if Mkhitaryan or Martial can get fit and into form.

Is what I'd like to see, TFM at CB and Martial as #9 and hopefully a goal for his confidence.

I'd keep the 3 of Pogba, Lingard and Herrera to build some consistency. I'd also like to give Rashford and Zlatan some rest and roll the dice with a Young - Depay - Mata front three. Tuanzebe at the back and Fosu as RB.

I would like us to get a settled side. Given the defeat in the first match, I think we shouldn't be playing around with the selection. Players still evidently need more time on the pitch together.

League Cup is a better opportunity for loads of changes.

I would agree, but he will not want another defeat by City, so might put out a strong team in that. Chelsea players had to deal with lots of games, he will likely expect it from ours as well.

    I would play:

DDG; Fosu-Mensah, Smalling, Blind, Darmian; Carrick, Schniederlin; Mkhi, Rooney, Memphis; Martial

With Young, Rojo and Lingard off the bench.

Agreed, they've got till Thursday to recharge and we have Stoke City at home on Sunday so we should be able to get through these games if we can maintain the momentum we started yesterday.

I want to see Martial up front for this to be honest. Get him a few goals, get him as the focal point of our attack and get his confidence up again.

I actually think Mata should start again. Even though I don't rate him there as highly as most, it's about time he got a proper run as our #10 and resting him after a good performance there, so soon into the season, is unnecessary in my opinion.

hopefully Rooney will start again on the bench, would rather try and give a chance to Depay/Schneiderlin than to the fatty who is gone by this summer.. you never he can score a goal and cause another selection problems for the future and we need to win the next one

If Martial is fit, he should start up front. If not, probably give chance to Memphis to play that CF role. At least, not the out and out winger. Compared to the likes of Dembele, even Gray, he doesn't have the same speed and agility. Plus, his best games in the EPL was against Watford playing in tandem with Martial up front.

Give the likes of Schneiderlin and Carrick some minutes as well, and rest Pogba, even though I would like to see him play every game. It is a long season and it has just started. Don't want him to run out of battery before the season even ends.

I don't see the point in putting Rooney and Rojo, the don't need match fitness, they need a good bye!

I'd play a few youngsters. We're at home though so we could see some first teamers get 60mins I suppose.

Just don't pick Fellaini or Rooney

To be this is already a must win and I think we'll want to build a bit of momentum from Saturday so I'm not expecting a huge number of changes.

Aboslute need of rotating the squad and giving minutes to some lads. Fc Zorya won't be a tough opponents here at home but we're usually bad in these games so just hope that we play well a get a good win.

Think that Shaw and Mkhitaryan can play, but I guess that Shaw won't be risked, when Henrikh need games. I'd rather have Martial than Memphis, but I heard that he had an small injury too so, let's go for Memphis

I would like to see us unchanged.

Herrera hasn’t had many games and won’t be in the Spain squad, same can be said for Mata, Zlatan uses international breaks as just that, a break. Pogba is a fit lad. Smalling needs games. Lingaard and Rashford have been used sparingly. I don’t see a need to change anything. Get them spanked 4 or 5 and then Bring Pogba, Bailly, Zlatan off on the hour.

was Martial not concussed ,thought it was minimum 2 weeks out, but I may be wrong on both counts.
I think it ended up being his ankle or calf. I remember Mourinho commenting at a presser that "everyone could see how he got injured". (alluding to the challenge that led to the goal).

I might be wrong as well. But either way, Martial was back in training last week Friday. So he should be alright to play.

Wouldn't mind giving playing time to Memphis and Miki. Other than that, I don't want to see a full rotation. I want a comfortable win to keep the momentum going.
