For the first time in a long time it wasn't a question of if we score, but when. Just knew we would score. Loving the game so far. Lacking a little bit of cutting edge, but loving the intent from the team. Rashford has been really good. So has Pogba. Mata has been a bit sloppy but has been all over. Fred has a pretty sweet pass on him, though almost cost us a goal.

Even if this performance doesn't make me feel supremely confident against the top 4, I'm enjoying the match. It will take time for it all to completely click. But we are playing well still.

Crazy that it feels strange to enjoy watching United play. Thank God the toxic one is long gone

Fred is being purposeful, it's just he's had a couple sloppy moments.

Which is reasonable given his lack of minutes this season. He's a talented player.

started the game slow but built up to speed. Agreed.....Fred bad.

Rashford is shooting whenever he has a chance probably because OGS asked him to.

Rashford looks like a man reborn.

It’s so aesthetically pleasing to see the team pressing high up the field rather than sitting deep.

Not convinced by Fred. Using a bad stream here, but he's been awful. That money could've been better spend.

    75% possession again..

Pereira and Young on please at some point in the second half... Young was a winger at some point.. He'll probably do a better job at the final ball considering how far up our FBs have been all game.

And Gomes can hopefully come on too.

Not a bad half, but it'll take a while to get the mourinho bullshit brainwashing out of our system. Need a little more movement in midfield to get in the box for support.

Rashford has been superb in terms of his overall work. He needs to be coached to calm down when he's near the goal because it's affecting his ability to spot better options. If he can work on his decision making at crucial positions then there's no limit for him.

The Caf's least favourite player MOTM in that first half, Matic. Excellent.

He'll no doubt improve, but Fred doesn't look anywhere near worth 52m.
Hopefully it's just a issue of confidence. (Fred)

Rashford needs to calm the feck down a little. His decision marking is off sometimes..
    Not that I blame him.

Loving the high press and fight, Fred not so much. He's been the engine of Huddersfield attacks.

Dalot should have scored that cross from Rash, but I love this boy already.
Everyone is playing well but Lingard needs to up his game. And Martial is reallu missing.

We're playing better football than City and Liverpool, can you believe it and are winning? :)

I don't think Fred has been awful, he has done a few good things
He looks like he's almost an excellent player in many ways. I think sometimes he's trying to imitate Pogba's nonchalance but he lacks the supreme technical skills Pogba has to pull such effortlessness off.

With a little more care and concentration he could be excellent. Some of the passes he plays are superb.

Rashford takes a lot of shots when he shouldnt.. that time he scored against Fulham (I think it was that game) with a long range shot. That shot was the wrong option too but the goalkeeper made a mistake and it turned into a goal. Rashford is pretty greedy imo.. if he learned to pass a bit more he would become a better player imo.

    Fred been bogey

I think Matic has still not been great he has taken a touch or two more than other players and it slowing us a littler.

Lacking width either on the right or the left from our attack today. Very congested in the middle an extra player pulling out wide would give us more space.

I am so happy with how high up the pitch we are playing though. It is great to see.

I would bring Herrera and Gomes on for Fred and Matic here

Fine half of football, just a shame we didn’t get a second goal that would probably have finished the game before half time. But keep playing like that and we will do eventually. Hard to name a player who didn’t do well tbh. Lots of combinations, attacks from all sides, plenty of imagination. Keep it up.

Dominated but not a convincing performance I think Huddersfield can get a goal in this we do look a little shaky on the counter.

Nothing like giving players a fair chance is there

Fred has barely featured since signing and is still finding his feet. He's done some good things and a couple of bad things.

Lindelof took a long time to start looking like he might be decent. But no, let's just write Fred off now eh?

Rashford has been in a cracking form for over a month now, which is great to see. Can't see how Lukaku will come in this team now, which is great.

Not fantastic by any means but i still love to watch us play now! I love our pressing, i love that we dominate completely. Can't take my eye of the stream! Like night and day from 90% of our games the last 4-5 years.

Don't lose hope on Fred yet. He's not had enough games to really show himself. If he keeps on like this for the next few months, then I'd agree that he's a poor player. But I think he's good for our style, only a bit off form for now.

I don't think that Fred is bad. For me, he is playing good. Nice passes and some good one-twos. He made mistake at the end but he had good half

I think a 2nd goal is coming provided we do not concede a goal from a counter or mistake.

Fred not even remotely as bad as people suggest, though he is absolutely in need of improving defensive awareness, there was the obvious one and a couple more. But he’s been good in our half we have to accept more misplaced passes when encouraging more risky play

Fred is not a bad player like some make him out to be. He is a risk taking player, who will lose possession time and time but he will also create chances and won't shy to win the possession back. Give him some game and he will show how good he is.
I agree. Give him a few more games and he'll come good.

Would like to see Lingard on the left more and Rashford central. And Ander Herrera on for Fred on the hour mark.

I don't mind when we're a few goals up. It's annoying at 1-0 though. At least Kane is a good finisher. Finishing is one of Rashford's weakest attributes, he'd grow so much as a player by becoming more of a team player. He shoots from stupid angles all the time when we have better placed players. It really pisses me off tbh.
Right but I think it is easier to coach him to tone it down then tone something like that up.

Fred is a bit careless, especially in our own half but he's the best players for starting counters. He picked out Lingard beautifully with a through ball. He needs more minutes.

Fred has been alright. He's contributed in moving the ball quickly. Just needs to adjust to the pace of the game off the ball.
