Matic was great in the second half on Saturday, bossed the Chelsea midfield (granted he wasn't great before that this season)
He really wasn’t great, he just wasn’t absolutely terrible. He was barely moving towards the end. It isn’t just this season either, he was very poor from about December onwards last season as well.

This. Feck Ronaldo, we don't need to give him any welcome.
I’d love us to basically blank him - small cheer when his name’s read-out as is standard for returning players, and then nothing. No repeat of the hysterics displayed last time please.

They're shaky if attacked properly. We can cause them troubles as long as we stop Ronaldo sneaking a few in on us

Exactly. I respect what he did for us but that's it. He's just another player that we have to stop.

Juventus are a very experienced side and know how to get a result against anyone. Can see this being a draw.

We will see a defensive masterclass from tactical defenders against a very limited forward that will always be two steps behind. Time to play Sanchez, Rashford and Martial together, don’t let Chiellini and company ridicule Lukaku. Play Lukaku and it’s 0-1, 0-2... play the other guys and you never know what happens. We’re at home... away games are always difficult even for the great teams. It’s a shame seeing the odds the bookies are offering, it’s like we’re the away team:eek: Imagine that three years ago and you’re told we have Mourinho, Pogba, Martial, Matic and Sanchez.

For some reasons I'm confident we will win this one.

Lukaku has been awful for sometime, so should be dropped and time to play Sanchez as CF. If not him then Martial.

Has anyone seen Juventus play this season? If you did, do you reckon we can get a draw/victory against them?

I blame him for the No 7 shirt curse. Man was comparing his situation to slavery when he was asked to stay another year. He fitted in well with those hanky-waving c*nts.

    I expect nothing , but a win .

Juve is not a side to be afraid of , boy it would be a moment for the fans there , seeing him again .

Hope this time we win it .

Games and nights like this are what the Champions league is all about. All that matters is 3 points. We will have to be solid at the back as they are a threat going forward. Mandzukic will be handful for Smalling, and with Ronaldo and Dybala roaming we will have to be on our guard. With that being said, they are also vunerable at the back. Martial needs to start this one and I would even be tempted to play Sanchez instead of Lukaku.

It's a huge match. Arguably the biggest non-Final match we have played in a long while.

I said earlier in this thread that if our supporters can create a good atmosphere (similar to what we had against Newcastle), our team has every chance of beating Juventus.
If we can go in at half time 1-0, then I think our team will turn up the heat in the 2nd half. If it's a draw at half time, I can see Juve winning. Unfortunately, our team/players do the bare minimum unless they are losing and the bare minimum won't be good enough against Juve.

That defensive line against Ronaldo, Dybala and Mandzukic :nervous:
I’d be extremely surprised if Dybala starts. This isn’t a domestic home game against Chievo or SPAL.

    I admire your optimism.

I think you are right about giving Sanchez a go as centre forward but I don't think Jose will drop Lukaku.

My God I hope United trash Juventus. Or just win 1-0 from an extra time scrimmage goal.

    Excited for this.

These are the first genuine, current Euro giants we've played since Moyes. Buzzing.

    2-2. (Pogba, Martial; Ronaldo x2)

This match is a perfect opportunity for the fans to show how much we love and miss ronaldo. I hope they cheer and sing viva ronaldo really loud esoecially if we’re trailing since that would show Ed what were missing lol funny

Lukaku and Matic should be dropped. Play Martial and Rashford up front...

Sanchez, Fellaini, Lingard, Dalot, McTominay and Jones all missed the part of training open to journalists.

Chong, Dearnley and Sang joined in training.

The team seems to be picking up form and confidence. Whilst we are still poor tactically, I do think the renewed spirit in the camp means we are capable of hurting any side - especially in the second half of games. Not easy to call this.

I do think Juve will be tougher than Chelsea though - much more penetrative side with a tougher defence.

I hope you’re not going to the game .
What has Ed got to do with Ronaldo ? He didn’t sell him and for all you know Ronaldo never ever wanted to return to Manchester. The Player need 70000 fans behind them tomorrow night not singing about a former player on the opposition side. When the stadium announcer calls his name out before the game fair enough give a shout but from then on its game on he’s not wearing red.

If they all miss out bar Sanchez it wouldn’t be that worrying. Can’t see too many changes from Chelsea possibly Herrera in for one of the attackers
