United are so poor that they only had one style that might successfully work today and Ole chose it.
The same sh*t that's been going on for a fair few seasons now. Just sit back and counter. No different to Stoke or Burnley.

It's as if United are cursed to lack any momentum at any stage this season. Still the same sense of intertia of the past 6 years remains.

That said, good tactics from Solskjaer, a good performance but with very, very few United chances again.

That's a sound plan. Let them attack. That will create space in their defence for James and Rashford to hurt them. As said i am a big fan of Ole. I accused him of being clueless even 1 hr before the game. However I have to give him credit when due
Are you surprised they scored ? I'm actually not, I knew this was gonna happen. We cannot park the bus with this team

Disappointed by the result. Don’t think we should’ve gone 5-4-1 as they were not creating anything & we looked dangerous going forward. Liverpool will be the happier of the 2 teams.

Thought Rashford & James played very well.

If that second half performance was guided by Mourinho, all the top reds om here would be asking for his head on a spike. However as it was led by Ole, none of those will bat an eye.

Erm no!! What cost us was the passive approach
It was passive, but when the ball did go up past the halfway line Rashford was chasing everything. His endeavour pushed them back up their own pitch.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming Martial at all. I'm fully aware he's just back from injury.

    What a nothing result

Liverpool were terrible and we retreated towards our goal line when we should have been more proactive

    Small club mentality

Frustrating that they left Robertson unchecked 1 time and it bloody trickles in.

the lads did so well for 99% of that.

No surprise we looked leggy towards the end, but that was much more positive.

We conceded after them countlessly crossing it, we asked for this. The more you expose yourself to this, the more you increase the chances of conceding. No sub again, the 2nd half has been very very poor.
The goal was a horrible mistake. Otherwise, they didn't have many targets for their crossing and didn't create much against us this half. The cross of their goal was easy to defend against too, we just fecked it up.

Cost ourselves by dropping too deep and defenders (Young and Rojo) losing concentration.

Good result in the end for us, but feels so bitter after leading for so long. I thought we did well for the most part, but in the end we couldn't keep up the intensity and unlike Liverpool, we don't have the players to bring on to fresh things up without having to change our approach.

I'm not gutted because they were the overwhelming favourites but we more than matched them.

Liverpool changed system in 2 nd half from 433 the o 442 in order to create space on the flanks.
It worked as their goal came from a cross.

All goals come from mistakes, the idea is about reducing the exposure to those crosses that can lead to mistakes. The moment you surrender the possession, you run the risk of a defensive mistake like this one. Not surprised one bit.
1st half was very good, 2nd half was dreadful

Good first 45 minutes, and back to the typically cowardly defensive shit in the last 45. All our managers since SAF has been doing the same shit. They have had NO balls to stick with it for the full 90 minutes. I could bet a lot we would have won this game if we continued like in the first half. Even if Liverpool stilled scored, i'd be a lot happier with the draw.

Ole is most def. feeling the pressure and wanted to just secure something from this game to ease some of that pressure.

Infuriating that we drop points from this, Robertson allowed too much space and Lallana not being picked up. Gutted.

Don't you think we had a massive missed opportunity in the middle portion of the 2nd half where Liverpool looked to have run out of steam & we had chances, but were too tired to take advantage of them?

Ole delays his changes way too late, he constantly lets opponents back into the matches. It's not good enough. It wasn't until the 81st minute where he made his first change. That's way too late come-on. By then, Liverpool had regained their composure and were inevitably having wave after wave of pressure again.

Pity we didn’t take our chances.

The lads did well - keep playing like that and we could be in the top 6 for the run in.

We could have easily ended with 3 points if the defence didn't commit a brainfart. I am happy how we played. I expected a trashing

The only United man who pissed me off today was Gaz
