It was supposed to be a meme but maybe it's true, Wout's arrival has lowered Martial's confidence.

We need to be a little more patient at times with the ball look for the extra pass rather than just constantly look for the ball over the top. But other than good first half kept city quiet and created some good chances ourselves.

Let's hope Rashfords injury is nothing to worry about. Could be a problem for us if it is.

ETH's plan has been spot on. The best two chances of the match have been ours, and you could say that in both Rashford could have done better at the end.

The defense has been really solid. Their front three are getting nothing, which is a reflection of how well the midfield is doing as well. Martial has been awful. He seems to constantly be finding himself between their two CB's when we go forward. Eriksen's weight of passing is beautiful.

We just need to take one of these chances because they aren't going to keep coming around.

Really hope Rashford injury is not anything major. The rest of our season basically rests on his shoulders. Good first half otherwise. Excellent off the ball for the most part except in the wide areas where we are allowing their fullbacks so much space. On the ball, we can be more incisive but i'm not complaining too much. If we can get anything from this game its a plus.

Improvement on the October Derby when United found themselves 4-0 behind at half time.

City most of the ball but have created nothing or more to the point not allowed. Don't say this often but was wise to select Fred to start.

Rashford probably could have done better with his opportunities hopefully no injury and can play 2nd half.

Jermaine Penis really showing his anti-United colours today.

    Ref has done well.

Rashford looks in trouble but he could have had 2 assists in the half. Just had to pass to Martial for open goals.

tough to see that at that pace though. On another day he scores one of those.

off the ball we have been good, but we need to do a bit better on the ball
The first one yeah he could have but I don't think Martial was in position to receive a pass on the second one. He seemed to be covered by the defenders.

Tight game that we’ve just about edged.

Fred is having a superb game out there, not giving KDB a sniff.

Akanji & Ake don’t look comfortable at all as a CB pairing which is annoying as Weghorst would have given them endless problems. Martial just isn’t doing that which is very frustrating.

Defence & midfield are doing well. Bruno’s range of passing has been very good. Casemiro - class as always.

Main worry is that I hope Rashford’s okay. My heart sank when I seen him drop to the floor and give it a whack fearing he’s pulled a muscle. I wouldn’t take any risk with him even though he’s our biggest goal threat. We are gonna need him fully fit and in this form as we enter our most busiest period of the season.

Overall, I’m pleased and they are definitely there for the taking.

Rashford needs to come off. We have a busy schedule ahead. No point keeping him on and making it worse.

Antony was warming up at the back end of the first half but I'd much prefer us to put Garnacho on. Much more similar to Rashford in that he's direct and runs in behind.

Think if we make better decisions in the final third in the second half, we'll win the game.

Rashford in on goal on 37mins. Felt he should of passed it to Martial, who was perhaps better placed, then again I just don’t feel Rashy trusts him enough to finish it.

Not getting a backup striker sooner is gonna cost us in this game. Both Rashford and Martial can’t play 90 minutes and we have nothing on the bench. Who the feck is going to play striker? Elanga? McTominay? Bruno false 9?

De Byurne has been shite. City haven't been good at all. United have setup well, not seen much of the ball but had better chances and the passing between the defence and mid field has been great.

Final third disappointing. Good show. Hope we win.

We've really come a far way since the last time we played City which is great to see. Our lack of end product is what's missing and hopefully we will sort that our soon.

Win or lose today, I hope the team stays calm.
Yeah our lack of finishing is hurting us, cause we have created bunch of chances, just that final finish.

Martial hasn't pressed, hasn't held the ball up, hasn't made runs. It's a credit to the rest of the team that we've looked the more dangerous, despite not playing with a striker.

That's what I said yes. He was only free in the box after Rashford was closed down late in the move and thats only because the CBs needed to cover the shot.

He has to run to the back post to bring the CBs across or back off for the pass. Either option most likely leads to a goal.

He just doesn't have a strikers instinct at all. There's a reason we had to ship him out on loan.
So two things, you were full of it when you acted as if Martial wasn't in the right area and you are also full of it when you pretend that not being open in the box when there are two CBs for one striker in the box.

Just say nothing instead of sounding like a fool.

Not sure why people are going on Martial about. He's done well today and has held up the ball decently. A few annoying offsides at the start was it. Bruno has been sloppy and needs to improve

Much much better than earlier in the season. A bit frustrated with us treating the ball like a hot potato every time we get it, be a bit more composed, pick the pass. Only thing that's really let us down is the finishing.

Martial hold up play has been OK, the problem is the team doesn't trust him and he's not a focal point. We're playing without a striker again.

Martial is either nowhere near fit or been told by his manager not to bother running.

Rashford off is a major blow

There we have it, Rashford injured at the worst possible time for us.

Personally think we should be using someone with speed to sub on and that isn't Anthony. We should be using Garnacho.
