I just have a bad feeling about this. I think City will be explosive from the start and we won't be able to cope with that. I can see them taking an early 2-0 lead and we won;t recover from that.

    I'm going with 3-1 city :(

    I'd like to see personally
Navas & Sterling on the wing (potentially) is a lot of pace for Blind to handle especially on the counter.

The rest of the team should remain unchanged from Everton.

We can't let them start well. They did the last time we faced and we were lucky not to be two goals behind. We must be ready to press well from the off.

Darmian will need to win his contest against Sterling. Or else we're in big trouble.

I think it'll be a similar team to the one the other night, with Blind coming in for Rojo and a Mata for Lingard. The one thing I would like to see is Martial up front and Rooney on the wing instead of the way they've played in the last two games. While Rooney as played better in the last two games I still think Martial is a much bigger threat playing up front with his his pace and trickery.

Its not Sterling we need to worry about, its De Bruyne! I think he's had a goal or an assit in every game he's started so far!

Kolarov is back, I expect you'll see City in a 4-2-3-1:

Hart; Kolarov, Mangala, Kompany, Zabaleta; Toure, Fernandinho; Sterling, De Bruyne, Navas; Bony.
Kolarov is a bit of a boost for them then. I see a lot of people who don't rate him, but he's their best player in that position so they'd be obviously weaker without him.

That's the kind of team City should play in about 32 of the Premier League fixtures a season, but sometimes you have to adapt and be more solid. Midfield was where they lost the game last season, as Yaya just didn't do enough defensive work. Will he this time? Will Manuel Pellegrini take the risk of that again? He was stubburn about 442 for a long time but finally changed. So, he could opt for two holding players to keep it tight and hope the front four can do the job.

On the flipside, they tried this away to Spurs and got stuffed 4-1. Caballero didn't exactly set the world alight there though...

Yes they have more pace than us, and without Shaw we'll struggle. I'd consider a draw a good result.

I wasn't impressed with City at all in the Sevilla game, I don't think they are amazing like most on here do and I definitely expect us to put up a good fight.

The City love on here will be unbearable if they beat us on Sunday.

really can't predict this match with any confidence, even with silva and aguero out they have enough threat to cause trouble.

it's a cliche and "oh really" kind of statement but I reckon the win will go to who will turn up on sunday and/or how us or city set up. because I'm a negative bastard I'll predict a city win.

I'm bit more confident now then year ago. Obviously won't be walk in the park but this time we got stronger wings of defense and Morgan freakin Schneiderlin in midfield not to mention Smalling in a beast mode.

However one mistake in squad and player role aspect and we may pay the price. Selection must be done carefully like never before if we're in for a title challenge. Do it right Louie.

People got way carried away by their win at Bournemouth, City are a great bunch of players, better than ours at the moment, but I think they crumble. Their wins against against M'bach and Sevilla showed they have great weaknesses. Especially in Germany was crazy they got away with the W.

They were outplayed by Sevilla too. Couldn't believe they won that game in the end.

Looks like Carrick is going to start which I dont like. He has been subbed in the last two games.

Was at the Bournemouth and Sevilla games and let me tell you that those in the stadium are in no doubt that the results were flattering to City. There was some lovely passages of play but too often there were big gaps in midfield that a bus could comfortably be driven through and some of our fullback play has been mediocre.
Things are looking up though. Apart from Clichy all defenders/DM's are available for selection for the first time in many weeks.
The wild card is will Kompany return? Mangala and Otamendi have done fairly well but Vinny really should return unless the "rift" between him and the Manager is deeper than is being reported.
Sagna should be the RB as Zab is only slowly regaining form after injury.
Sterling has been inconsistent but de Bruyne, Bony and Navas are playing well.

I have this sinking feeling he's going to start Basti and Carrick.

City won't sit back. I expect goals. Not sure how I'd call it though.

hope not, then again. Carrick-BFS-Rooney aint Carrick-BFS-Herrera. Plus Yaya-Fernandinho-De Bruyne ain't Ramsey-Walcott-Sanchez in terms of tempo. So I believe Carrick BFS wouldn't be overrun like against Arsenal(no chance actually), but I'd MUCH rather Morgan-BFS-Herrera plays.

Carrick's injury at the back end of last season had us all in fits of despair, now all of a sudden he's the weak link, we are spoilt in midfield nowadays.

Carrick - Schniederlin to start, and Schweinstegier - Schneiderlin to finish will do nicely for me.

Us winning it depends on our midfield and their experience. BFS will be the difference, lets hope he plays like he did against Liverpool.

Smalling needs to be in his usual bully mode too.

Obviously. Him and Scheiderlin are similar players and shouldnt start especially against a team like City. Bastian gets us playing better alongside Morgan.

Their two beat players are out. Without Silva they have far less creativity. De Bruyne and Sterling are capable but nowhere near that level. Without Aguero who is going to finish their chances?

At times this season they have been dire and Silva/Aguero have torn teams apart on their own. This is the weakest City team we will have played in years.
Would hate to see that little Call you next Tuesday Sterling score a fluky goal on us.

With Aguero and Silva out, it is not KdB or Sterling who I worry about. It is Y.Toure.

If we are paying too much attention to the wings, space is going to open up nicely in the middle for Toure especially the way we play 2DM atm. In addition, both Carrick and BFS are going to be "destroyed" by him physically in some cases when he use his pace and power. They are all 30s but the difference is obvious.

I hope we play 3 man in the middle with 1DM. It is not only to protect each other but also in case their wingers roaming and drift in the middle.

And last but not least, I wish Rooney does do something in this match, the whole team need him perform to "tick" :)
