    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka Varane Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Didn't take long to get back to the same team did it?

But that's what I'd go with and hopefully Hojlund is fit to come on for Martial after an hour or when he inevitably gets injured.

Forest are muck, especially away from home. If we don't beat them we are looking at a disastrous start with Arsenal and Brighton to follow.
its already a disaster start even if we stomp Forest 10 - 0.
Arsenal and Brighton will take us to the cleaners, guaranteed.

Can already see the 'the seasons over after three games' kneejerk threads popping up over the weekend.

Revised ideal line-up in light of injuries:

    Onana
    AWB - Varane - Lindelof - Dalot
    Casemiro - Martinez
    Sancho/Garnacho - Bruno - Rashford
    Martial/Hojlund
    4-2-3-1

Obviously the actual line-up will be different but this is the ideal line-up for us right now in my opinion.

Gonna be walking there with trepidation tomorrow. Line up with a team that will enable Rashford and I don’t care about anything else.

Is it really the same team when Martial barely played  ?

Is anyone actually going to be fit to play...? something is seriously wrong at the club, if you ask me

Well it wasn’t last year was it? Ok we stumbled over the line and somehow finished 3rd but on the whole it was a damn good season.(judged on recent seasons).
Injuries can happen at any time, look at the dippers last season.
Just a pity we signed a centre forward who was injured:o and a midfielder we didn’t need instead of this Ambarat or whatever his name is

Hojlund not available but he's just started training with the rest of the team.

This time last year we were rock bottom remember. When Hojlund is fit in a week or so, that ahould give the team a lift, Rash will be back in his favoured position and Amrabat may be here soon to help Casemiro. Two months without Shaw and Mount will be testing though especially as Malacia is injured too.

Yeah I suspected he hadn't trained with the team until this week. Just hoped we might get a surprise of him at least making the squad

ETH has played Lindelof in midfield instead of putting Martinez there so I don't know why you've gone with that

If you take good players away from a team they'll look significantly worse, particularly one that was in the first year of its transition. We looked far better last year for a significant period of time until Martinez got injured.

If you're going to pick a shitty start to the season to ignore a whole year of progress, where we won the second most games in Europe, made top 4 and two cup finals, then that's your prerogative. I have been watching football long enough to know things can change very quick and not to make a snap judgement. Try to keep a perspective.
The problem with long football watchers like you is that you don't think beyond your nose.

If United's rivals(teams competing for the same prize) aren't stagnant, the whole year of progress made by United will not matter. United can improve by 30% but if all the teams around them improve by 50%, United's improvement will not win squat.

For instance, Man City have replaced Mahrez with Jeremy Doku, Laporte with Josko Gvardiol, Gundogan with Mateo Kovacic. Ten Hag on the other hand wants to replace Maguire with Johnny Evans, Fred with Mason Mount, etc.

Do you hionestly think these replacements are an UPgrade that can close the gap on Man City? We can all hold hands in Kumbaya and hope for the best but the reality is that the present squad does not have what it takes to genuinely challenge for the league title.

Maybe you are just happy with finishing top 4. Its been 10 years since the last league title.

    Wake up!!!

This is just not true. ETH can't buy another CB without Maguire going which he seems to be refusing to go, Evans is a free depth addition. Mount isn't a Fred replacement, he was an Eriksen replacement to allow Eriksen to move to a sub/rotation role instead playing 60+ minutes in 40 matches. Fred's replacement was meant to be Mainoo but he got an injury (ETH starting him with Casemiro against Real Madrid in the preseason showed that intention)

You say this like we've had Hojlund for years and he's been a prolific goal scorer at United. We don't know what he is going to provide. It's safe to think it won't be much in the current setup but I hope I'm wrong. Kudos to you though for staying positive.

United are what 30 games unbeaten at Old Trafford now? (not 100% sure about that stat)

    2-1 victory incoming.

Going to 3 at the back out of the blue because of an injury isn't a good idea. I'd rather see one of Dalot or Martinez shifted to LB. If we can't make do with that for 90min at home against a mid-table club then we're hopeless.

    Onana

    AWB
    Varane
    Martinez (Lindelof)
    Dalot (Martinez)

    Casemiro
    Eriksen

Antony (only because ETH won't drop him)
    Bruno
    Rashford

    Martial

I hate stats like these, they’re basically inviting us to be jinxed, especially when we’re playing so terribly.
Don't fear elmo...United couldn't possible play any worse than they did against Wolves

Oh yes we can. Mount & Shaw out from the starting line-up. Cas not up to speed yet, Hojlund not yet fit. We’ve blown a fortune on players when Onana was the only one we really needed. We desperately needed a DM/AM and a proven striker. Can see us struggling for goals again and conceding midfield space. Having everything crossed for tomorrow as I don’t think this is a walk in the park.

What is ETH’s justification for starting Rashford as a number 9? What more evidence does he need? I’m baffled.
