Steady performance at the minute but it's really all that's required. Last year it would've been 1-0 to QPR at this point so at least there's that.

Would dearly love us to inject some pace into our play and go for the jugular though. There's 6-7 goals in this if we really want it. Want RVP to get one at least to boost his confidence and form because he's likely to come off for Falcao.

Positive so far, thought we'd struggle to break them down a lot more than we have, even if it took a while to get the first.

    Gaalacticos

Very excited to see this team gel together and how Falcao fits in. Very impressed with all the new signings today.

Also hope this is the end of 3-5-2

    How´s Rojo doing?
Generally good, safe, not too ambitious. Linked up with Di Maria to create one opening. Misjudged a header near the touch-line which led to a dangerous QPR cross. A shambolic episode with De Gea with each rather leaving it to the other (more De Gea's fault than Rojo), should have resulted in QPR scoring but Evans cleared a poorly struck shot.

Actually don't think we've been worthy of that lead, sloppy passing at times and we've been quite cynical breaking up their counter attacks, thankfully Dowd has been lenient.

Still can't argue with 3 goals from what? 2 actual shots on goal?

I've been impressed with the impact that Rafael has had. We've missed his penetration. Also, Herrera looks the part.

    I am so happy!
This is the united i want to see. Bossing QPR around, and actually playing good(really good) football.
Out central midfield is amazing. Blind, Herrera and Di Maria works great together.

De Gea with a miss, Rojo with a miss but thats ok, it happens.

Rooney and Van Persie actually dont look as good as the rest of the team.

Lets continue this in the second half, put Falcao in for Van Persie and just trash them!!

Solid, a couple of really intelligent runs, wouldn't think it was his debut.
Very solid, defence as a whole is doing quite well apart from the random brainfart from De Gea. Rafael has been absolutely brilliant.
Thks gents. I usually watch United matches but unfortunately can´t today because of work related stuff. Wanted to see his debut

Rival fans already banging on with the 'it's only QPR' excuses on my Facebook and elsewhere.

Brilliant performance. Di Maria is just  amazing. Rojo doing very well going forward, though somewhat iffy in defence if I'm being honest, still a good debut for him. Blind has been great imo, breaking up the QPR midfield and ensuring we keep possession. Herrera has misplaced a few passes, but this formation allows him to gwet forward more and he has thrived from that getting a goal and an assist. Rafael has been fantastic imo, looking so much better than Valencia has this season. Blackett and Evans doing well also. Robin's positioning hasn't been the best imo so I'd expect to see Falcao come on soon. With this performance we may get to see young Pereira also. That would be a great moment for him and I hope he gets a chance. In truth, the whole team just looks better. Faster passing, better attacking movement from our midfielders (though our forwards could be offering more in that department imo), just all-round better. Hope to see even more attacking intent in the 2nd half.

    From Brazil.
Rojo, Blind, Ander and Di Maria are excellent.
None of them Brit. I am not from England, but nothing beats the passion of home grown British players, I hope LVG will help the youth setup to start playing and developing the youth coming up.
One thing I respected out Man Utd was our use of youth and home grown players. I am excited with this team but it does not feel the same. I hope someone understand what I am trying to say. I am not writing it well.

Good to finally beat the shit out of a below average team, but it's not time to get ahead ourselves here.

Herrera and rooney 1 goal and 1 assist each other... All the things herrera did good didnt look that hard... Was our previous midfield that bad?

Rafael has done well not brilliant, Evans started shaky and gave a few hospital passes. Blacket sound and Rojo impressive.

Piers on Twitter talking bollocks again, saying that Di Maria is a poor man's Sanchez. Oh god, does he even believe in some of the shit he says? I've never wanted to punch a twat so badly.
He's such a brilliant wind up which is why I like him.

Daydreaming at work on Thursday about the match... Wrote 8-0 on my hand... Forgot to put the bet on... Anyone any idea what the odds were on that before the game? 66/1?

So many options on the bench too. If for example Mata and RVP are currently "underperforming" then we can throw on Januzaj and Falcao. This is an insane amount of attacking talent we have stockpiled. Probably the best since Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney were in the same team.

other than the brain fart defensively, that Evans had to clean up, and the occasional long ball, it's been great. the new boys have all made a positive difference. oh...and Di Maria...he's unbelievable.

I know its only QPR but what a difference it makes when we have a good midfield, proper fullbacks and Di Maria.

Who gets the assist for the first goal then?
No one, although FF will put it down as an assist for Herrera I'm pretty certain that the official PL stats won't count it.

Liking how Blind seems content to just pop 5-10yd passes about to players in space and happy to just sit on halfway line tidying things up, doesn't wanna over complicate things

Rojo for being a CB is a really good LB, he's so fast it's incredible for the role he usually plays.
